"Come here, gorgeous" Jax whispers, pulling me closer. His hands move to my shoulders and he starts massaging my shoulder. "You know, we never actually talked about it," Jax says
"About what?" I hope to God it has nothing to do with what happened to William the other day
"Everything that happened with your mum and Faye" He moves his hands from my shoulders to my hair and proceeds to massage my scalp the way I like it.
I close my eyes for a bit and I can't help the low moan that leaves my mouth. "There's nothing to talk about. I got rid of them and that's all that matters." I answer truthfully
"You did." He kisses my forehead "But you never talked about what you had to do to get rid of them" He stops his massage and I sit up straight before turning to face him.
He lifts one "You want to know if I regret it?" I ask
"I'd like to know that and more. Do you regret it?" He asks gently
"I don't." It's a short answer but it's the truth
"Are you sure, my love? You've never done anything like that before. That wasn't you" He states
"What if it was? What if I just needed the right person to help me channel all the built-up anger and focus it on something... someone?"
"I get that. I just want to make sure there are no regrets or bad thoughts from that day" his voice is calm and soothing.
I smile at him "I'm fine, I promise. Thank you for asking" I lean further and place a kiss on his lips.
"I love you" he kisses me back intensely "I'm sorry I never asked sooner. I know with everything going on, from finding out Aaliyah, it's not easy but I'm here for you."
"To be honest I'm fine. But I'll admit I'm a bit nervous about Aaliyah and your meeting."
"Oh, wow! Miss Cyrus, so soon? At least put a ring on my finger first" he says jokingly
I chuckle and stare at him longer than I want to. It's so easy to get lost in Jaxon's eyes, or his face. Watching every intricately sculpted inch of his body is my favorite activity when I have the opportunity to admire my boyfriend.

I'll admit it's still a bit surprising that this beautiful man is all mine. I smile at him "I just might. But first of all, we have to go shower before Aaliyah and Mrs. Diana get here"
"We can shower together" his eyes gleam at the idea
"Nope, not happening. We go in there together and we'll be showering while our guests are waiting"
He pouts "I'll be quick"
"Showering or fucking me?" I laugh
"I was talking about showering, but yeah I can be quick with that too." He grins
"I bet you can, darling. But no. Let's go mister"
"But I've missed you. Don't you miss me? He whispers
My breath lodges in my throat as I try not to falter "I'll show you how much I missed you later" I say lowly "If you shower in time before our guests arrive" I persuade him.
"I would have preferred if it was before and after, but this can work too. We have a deal" he gives me an outstretched hand to shake
I laugh at him before taking his hand in mine. "Good boy."
"I can assure you, there's nothing about me that's a boy" he stands to his feet using his tall frame to tower over me.
I take my eyes off his abs before I change my mind about us showering and fucking. I might just let him take me right here and now.
I clear my throat and focus on something else apart from his body "There's something I wanted to ask you about the guys you got information from, with Veronica."
"Go ahead, love."
"If Veronica wasn't married at all, then who are the guys that gave you the fake information? And why?"
"Dummies." I cock an eyebrow from confusion "In this line of work, a lot of people have connections with the black market. And there's nothing you can't find on the black market. Like those guys, they're called dummies."
"They die for money?" How the fuck is that reasonable
"Sorta. They do what you want, it may involve death or not, but then the payment goes to a family member if it turns out death was involved." He explains
"What the fuck." I exclaim "That's dumb as fuck"
"Well, a lot of people have gotta do what it takes to feed their family. The fact is a lot of these dummies are debtors, gamblers that owe high-end casinos or big drug lords. So, doing that task automatically clears their debt and earns a small pay for their family after their death."
"That's crazy."
"Crazier things have happened" I turn and urge him to continue, with my eyes "But that's a story for another day."
"Ugh!" I exclaim but still get up. I lead us to my room and as much as I would like it I want to tease him so bad, but we don't have time for that.
"Go shower. I'll clean up before you finish" Jax kisses me before going to the kitchen.
After showering, Jax goes into the bathroom and does the same. Luckily, he has some clothes over here so it was easy to change.
"Mrs. Diana just called me, they're houses away from here," I tell Jaxon
"You're shaking like a leaf," He's not wrong. I'm meeting my long-lost daughter for the second time since I found out about her, I do not know how to act.
One minute I was Imaani Cyrus and the next I'm still here, but with a child. "Nerves" I reply shortly
"Breath, baby" he inhales along with me and then exhales loudly
I nod "I can do this" I try to assure myself
"That's my girl. C'mere, baby" He embraces me tightly and then places a kiss on my head and cheeks and then my mouth "You're amazing, and you're all mine"
"All yours baby." Just in time, the doorbell goes off and we're face to face with Mrs Diana and a smiling Aaliyah after opening the door.
"Mama!" Aaliyah yells and jumps into my arms
I forget about all the nerves from earlier once I've embraced her "Hi, baby!" I exclaim happily "Hello, Mrs Diana. Thank you for doing this."
"It's nothing. Thank you for having us. Hello, Mr. Smith"
"Hi, ma'am" he greets
"Please, once again I'm telling you to call me Diana"
Jaxon chuckles "Only if you call me Jaxon" I laugh at their banter and walk off into the house with Aaliyah in my arms.
I get in the chair and sit Aaliyah on my lap while listening to the story about her schoolmates.
I overhear Mrs. Diana thanking Jaxon for bringing Aaliyah home safely after Veronica and Christopher kidnapped her and had a gun to her head. Turns out Mariah went to pick up Aaliyah from school, that's how she was able to sell her to Christopher.
"He cried like a baby, but I didn't!" Aaliyah explains proudly how she went down the slide at school without falling but a boy did.
"Wow! That's my brave girl" I applaud her and she smiles from ear to ear. She giggles and then gets down from my leg before walking to where Jaxon is seated.
"Hi, sir," she says and smiles at him sweetly
"Hi, princess. How are you?" Jax's smile is wide
"I'm fine. Are you my mommy's boyfriend?" Aaliyah asks surprising all of us
Mrs. Diana chuckles from where she's seated. Uh, What do you think?" Jax asks with a smile
Aaliyah giggles "You're her boyfriend!" She exclaims
I gasp loudly and we all laugh.
"I like you" Aaliyah throws her arms around his neck and hugs him.
