"I dunno Sarah, I'm just happy I guess" I smile and take another bite out of my cupcake
"Who wouldn't be happy? You have a sexy, rich, handsome boyfriend. If I were you, I'd have people pay me just to see me outside"
"You're dramatic. You didn't add nice. Besides all that, he's nice." I smile gently once I remember Jax
"Fuck nice!" She flips me off and excuses herself to use the restroom
"Sarah!" I yell after her and laugh
She halts halfway "What?" She laughs "He should be lucky he has not hurt you if not, I'd nail his balls to my wall." She struts off majestically

Sarah once shaved a guy's hair who called her a stuck-up bitch. Then sticks the cut hair pieces to the windshield of his car.
My mind goes to everything Jax told me last time. And my heart breaks for him all over again. I hate that the child he once was didn't get to be a child and just enjoy his childhood. I hate everyone that ever hurt him. They deserve worse than what they did to him.
I pick up my phone and text him something that just came to my mind. After a few minutes of waiting he doesn't reply so, I assume he's busy.
Yeah, killing people.
I smile to myself "Why are you smiling like that?" Sarah asks before sitting down beside me
"Nothing. Sarah do you remember when you found my college crush online and we stalked him.... severely"
"Imaani?"
"What is it?"
"Do you have something to tell me? Because if you do I'd understand and I won't judge. You're my best friend and we're all human. And like Selena said the heart wants what it wants. But I'd advise you not to leave the man you love just for five minutes of pleasure or even less." She rambled "It's just a college crush, I never thought it will grow into more. I have plans Imaani! Big plans I can't-"
I laugh "As much as it was fun seeing your brain malfunction, I'm gonna have to stop you right there. I'm not leaving Jax. I dunno how you got that idea but it's wrong. I just want you to find someone for me"
"Well, why didn't you say so?" She smacks my arm playfully
"Ow! You didn't let me"
She smiles widely before looking at me "What? Stop smiling like that you're scaring me. What is it, Sarah!"
"You do, don't you?"
I raise my eyebrow in confusion "Do what?"
"I said you love him and you didn't correct me or say anything about it"
"I don't- I'm not- It's not" I stutter and my eyes widen with the realization "Oh my God I love him!"
"Say thank you" Sarah urges
I laugh at her "For what?"
"Duh. What else? For helping you realize dumbass"
"Thank you... asshole"
She gasps in mock shock "How dare you?
"Shut up and help me take the trash out... please?" I add reluctantly
"That sounded way too fake for my liking so... NO!" She smiles with pride "It's your house anyway"
"Oh really? Then you don't mind if I throw out the hot Cheetos and Snickers that are in my house, I don't need them as much as you anyway" I taunt her
Her eyes widen"Don't you dare" she huffs "Okay I'm sorry, but I'm not taking the trash out"
"Fuck you" I flip her off before going to pick up my trash
I pick up the bag, and luckily it's not that heavy and can't rip. I throw it into the bin and turn to make my way in.
There's a guy on the sidewalk looking around and then at his phone, he looks lost.
Or he's just trying to lure you into your death.
I need to cleanse my subconscious.
I turn to leave when the man calls out "Sorry! Excuse me. Hi" He stops in front of me
"Hi. How may I help you?"
"I'm sorry." He chuckles and scratches the back of his head" I think I'm lost and you're the only person outside that I saw to ask for help. If you don't mind that is?"
"That's okay. May I know where you're going?"
"Oh right here" He turns his phone to me and shows me the address
"Oh. You're far from your destination." I turn sideways and point down "But lucky for you, you can walk down to the bus stop and you'll find a bus to take you there.
"Thank you." He sighs softly "Thank you very much you're a lifesaver. I'm Chris by the way" He smiles and stretches his hand out to me
Didn't ask for your name but okay "Nice to meet you, Chris. Glad I could help, have a nice day" I walk ahead and make my way to my door
He talks "I didn't get your name?"
Fuck! Where's Sarah when you need her
"Oh, my bad...I'm-" I hear Sarah call out to me from the door
"Babe! Leave the old guy and come back to bed. I'm horny!!" I'm pretty sure the entire block heard how loud she is
Oh my God!
I facepalm "I'm so sorry. She didn't mean that by the way uh excuse me I uh... yeah bye." I walk off before I can embarrass myself with more stuttering
I walk into the house and like I suspected Sarah is laughing at me
"Oh my God you should have seen your face, when you turned to look at me!" She laughed loudly
"Yeah. Laugh all you want"
"Aw don't be like that babe, I'm still horny you know!" She said and started laughing again
"Fuck you! I'm going to wash my hands you jerk!"
"I love you too, babe"
After I wash my hands, Sarah and I agree on a movie and watch it. We realize too far into the movie that we're almost out of snacks.
"I can't believe you didn't notice that we are almost out" I complain to Sarah and smack her
"Ow! Enough of the abuse. I'm fragile yunno" She rubbed her arm slowly
"Well, miss fragile we're watching a movie without snacks right now!"
"Hey have some respect" she holds her palm up "Don't speak to me like that... I'm fragile"
I snicker trying to hold my laugh in "Girl fuck you!"
The movie we're watching is kind of long and I can't count how many times Sarah has dosed off why won't she? After finishing two packs of hot Cheetos.
I check my phone again to see if Jax had replied to my message yet but nothing. Weird.. he read it.
Before I can think too much about it the doorbell rang.
Ding Dong
Sarah woke up "Ughh go away!"
"Sarah shut up" I get up and make my way to the door
I open the door and I'm surprised by who is standing there.
"Mrs. Diana?" I call out in shock
I can't help the tears that come to my eyes as I see the old lady who babysat me, from next door, standing in front of me.
"Hello my darling" she calls out to me.
And the tears I've been holding back come flooding out at the sound of her voice "Oh my God! It's you. I can't believe it" I hug her tightly and she hugs me back
"I've missed you my darling Imaani" her voice breaks, she's crying too
"I've missed you so much, you can't even imagine how much. Please come in" I pull away and step aside so she can walk into the house
"I'm here with someone she's a bit shy, I'll get her from the car"
She walks to the car and opens the door revealing a little girl.
She's beautiful.
They walk together to where I'm standing and I bend to her height "Hi, I'm Imaani. What's your name sweetie?"
"Aaliyah" she murmurs quietly
I smile and look up at Mrs. Diana who's surprised by the girl responding
"She's usually really shy"
"I'm glad she's not, with me. Please come in" I step aside and let them in
I close the door behind me as they wait for me to lead them to the living room.
Sarah is no longer on the couch and I assume she has moved to the room.
"Sorry, it's a little bit messy I and my friend were seeing a movie. Have a seat please."
"Thank you." She taps her lap "Come here baby" she calls to Aaliyah.
I take a seat on the couch and I'm surprised when Aaliyah makes her way to me and raises her hands so I can lift her to my lap "Oh, okay" I smile and lift her into my lap
"I swear she's usually shy around strangers" Mrs. Diana states smiling "I guess she just feels it" she smiles and tears roll down her cheek
"Feels what?" I chuckle
"You don't know do you?" She cleans her tears and has a sad smile on her face
I'm confused "Know what, Mrs. Diana?"
