" Love, how many is less than seven?"

I gasped " Just two! that's mean" I parked the car in front of my place praying to God the puppies were already here
Jax's hands were still on my thigh, they have been there since the beginning of the drive.
"Don't you dare!" he said referring to my hand that was about to open the door
I raise my hands in surrender and seat there till he gets down and turns to my side to open the door and then we head in.
We get in and a few minutes later there's a knock on the door. I'm grinning from ear to ear because they finally arrived.
I hear Jax say before I could walk to the door "I'll get it"
He comes back in with a big basket and just three puppies in them, it's small but it's better than none.
I walk towards the living room where the sound is coming from and my smile immediately broadens when I lay eyes on these gorgeous puppies.
"Oh my goodness! they're so cute!" I exclaimed drawing out each word
"Yeah whatever" Jax muttered and made his way to the kitchen to do heaven knows what.
I took my phone out immediately and took pictures of them to send to Sarah and also for my Instagram feed.
I like memories, especially ones of gorgeous little puppies.
One of them was brown with specs of white, the other was just white and the last one black with specs of brown on its ears.
"Baby! come here" I called out to Jax. I placed two of them on my crossed legs and lifted the third one to my face kissing his forehead.
"I'm not playing with those things."
He cleaned his hands with a napkin before taking a seat completely ignoring the puppies.
Who ignores puppies?!
"But why? they're beautiful" I coo at them.
One of the pups in my lap crawls out and makes its way to Jax's feet and seats there with his head raised looking at him.
"Imaani take your puppies or I'm staying in your room till they leave," he said completely uninterested in the puppy by his feet
"Please just play with it, I promise you won't regret it" I pleaded to try to convince him
"No"
"I'll suck your dick when they leave" I offered, trying to bribe him
"Fuck you" he grumbled before picking the puppy up to his this
I laughed lightly at his reaction. I get up to fix the movie we want to watch and make sure I've got water and food set aside for the puppies before I pick two of them unto my lap and sit beside Jax
I take my bowl filled with different kinds of chocolate and a bag of chips and Cheetos for Jax and me, mainly for me because Jax is not a fan of sweet things or any snacks at all. More for me anyway.
I pass Jax a snicker bar to see if he changed his mind, but he turned it down as usual so I just open it and start eating.
"Cute" Jax muttered to the puppy on his lap that was yawning.

We continue our movie and I notice that all the puppies fell asleep after eating, all that cuddling and kissing must have worn them out.
"I love spending time with you," Jax said out of nowhere
"Aww, baby" I kiss him on the cheek
He bites his lower lip and lifts his eyes to mine "Even though it's something silly that involves puppies. What the fuck is a puppy date?"
"A date where we cuddle puppies, eat, and watch movies, just like this" I explain
"I think you should leave the date planning to me, darling" he smirks as he said it

"it means you're horrible at planning dates, love" he replied without stuttering

"Good girl" he heads into the kitchen to make us food.
