I don't have anything with me though.
I analyze him, but other than the mic, he doesn't have anything with him. So, what is he bidding?
"Why don't we start with a thousand bucks?" The man behind me smiled.
"Hey?" I whispered but he didn't give me any attention.
"Hey!" I repeat, but still, no response.
His attention was on the people who were shouting thousands of dollars outside this stage.
Wait, I can't hear them just before I enter the stage, but why are they so clear right now?

The man who's wearing a tuxedo and holding a mic claps happily when a person shouts twenty thousand.
"Any amount higher than twenty thousand?" He asks the crowd.
