Yu Tian thought to himself that he found the mind realm particularly interesting.
It was also somewhat related to the progression of his calculation ability.
When he had entered the mind realm before, he had felt his mind clear up and become capable of thinking somewhat faster, thus able to do more calculations at any given time.
He thought to himself that although his calculation ability was good, sometimes he just needed to ask a few more questions to narrow down some things. If this happened when he was fighting a super powerful enemy and he was unable to ask one more question, it could mean the end for him.
That was why the mind realm was so important for him. He needed to focus on it even more than his own cultivation.
After finishing reading the manual, he had a decent understanding of the mind realm and how it worked.
Due to his basic level enlightenment, he didn’t understand as much as he would’ve preferred, but it didn’t matter. He started developing a few theories on what he didn’t understand, using his calculation ability to refine each theory, then readjusting it and recalculating - rinse and repeat until he had a solid foundation on the mind realm.
This whole process took about two hours.
He thought to himself that if he had a higher mind realm, it would’ve taken less time. He needed a higher level mind to compensate for his basic enlightenment.
He then exhaled deeply to calm himself and entered a state of deep meditation.
He found himself floating in his mind realm. He looked around - this was the place that would end up being his spiritual sea. At the moment, it wasn’t anything though, just pure darkness. He couldn’t even tell if it was really darkness, just that nothing existed. He decided not to pay too much attention to it and began cultivating the mind through the Path to Heaven method.
Slowly, as he did so, he felt himself enter an extremely calm state. He thought to himself that doing this was even better than sleeping - he felt all his mental fatigue wash away when he practiced the mind.
He continued practicing, feeling a little warmth start to appear in his mind realm. He noticed a tiny speck of light, barely noticeable amidst this absolute darkness. He smiled - he was making progress.
He continued practicing throughout the night.
In the morning, he slowly opened his eyes as he heard the sounds of birds chirping. He looked around him, wondering where he was.
"Ah, that’s right, I’m in the Black Forest," he thought.
He then slowly got up and began walking out of the cave. He thought to himself that practicing the mind was really addictive - he felt as though he would lose himself in it.
He smiled. He had made great progress. As long as he continued , it wouldn’t be long before he entered level two of the mind.
"You’re finally awake," Xueling spoke as she noticed him coming out of the cave. "I’ve already prepared breakfast."
After having breakfast, Yu Tian and Xueling prepared to go find the Starfall Blossom.
"Before we go, there’s something I want to show you first," she said as she stepped before him.
"Something you want to show me?" he asked.
"That’s right," she said, nodding her head.
"Sure. What is it?" he asked.
"~This." Yu Tian heard her voice echo in his head.
"This is..." he spoke up in amazement.
"~It’s voice transmission," her voice sounded again in his head.

Xueling thought to herself that this was really important. If they were going to be working together, they’d need to be able to talk , especially in making abrupt plans when people were around.
She assumed her enemies were probably waiting to ambush her on the way back, so it was nice having a way to communicate between the two of them.
Yu Tian thought to himself that this was really interesting. If they faced an opponent too hard for both of them, they could combine their skills. He could use this to feed predictions to her and she would attack.
"How do I learn this?" he asked.
"It’s easy. The hardest part is unlocking the mind realm, which you already have," she explained.
"Just start by thinking of what you want to say," she said. "It doesn’t even have to be just words - you can even imagine a scene in your mind."
"After that, it’s all about intent. Gather your mental energy and express your intent to knowledge with someone else. As you do this, a thread of consciousness will spread from your mind..."
The voice then shifted, now appearing directly in his mind. "~And link with the target’s mind, transmitting the information," she said.
"Now you try it," she said with a smile.
She thought to herself that although she explained it , it actually wasn’t that simple. But Yu Tian had shown his genius time and time again, she didn’t doubt he could instantly master it after just being shown once.
Yu Tian focused on the words in his mind. He then felt his mental energy entering the words in his mind, forming intent. He then thought of the target - he wanted to deliver this message to Xueling.
At that moment, he felt something split in his consciousness, just a tiny thread, barely noticeable. The thread then connected with Xueling’s consciousness.
Her eyes brightened once she heard his voice in her mind.
"~That’s right. Just like that. Now try doing it a few more times," she said excitedly.
Yu Tian did it a few more times until he got the hang of it.
"That’s basically the gist of it. At your current level, you can only use it within ten to fifteen meters. But there’s no need to worry - as your mind levels up and you unlock the spiritual sense, you’ll be able to use it within the size of your spiritual sea. Mine is a hundred meters, just so you know," she said with a smug smile.
"Is there a limit to this?" he asked.
She held her chin. "I don’t know. I heard that a Nascent Soul powerhouse could use it within their divine sense, which could cover a few miles. Those are just rumors though," she said.
"Anyway, now that you can use voice transmission, we should go now," she said. "Also, make sure not to forget your items as we might not return here."
