Upon hearing those words, Queen Medusa’s temper flared instantly. Her eyes turned cold, her expression as though she were about to devour someone alive.
"Are you seeking death?" she hissed.

Chen Mo smiled faintly, continuing to feed Die the Snake Essence Powder.
"Can you even handle it?" he teased back.
Queen Medusa’s eyes widened in disbelief. What did he just say? Was this human getting bold just because she was injured?
Unfortunately, that was the truth—right now, she couldn’t do much to him. She could only threaten through clenched teeth, "Once this queen’s injuries recover, we’ll see how I punish you!"
"Oh? So before Your Majesty’s wounds heal, that means I can punish you instead?" Chen Mo deliberately put on a roguish grin, raising his hand and curling it into a suggestive half-circle gesture.
Queen Medusa’s brow twitched as killing intent flickered in her eyes. Of course, she understood perfectly what that gesture meant. After all, this man had kneaded her flat and round more than once before.
Her silver teeth clenched tightly. "You dare?" she spat coldly.
Perhaps because of her anger, the movement of her chest made her flawless curves rise and fall temptingly.
Chen Mo didn’t continue to bicker with her. Instead, his gaze turned toward Die, whose delicate lips were pursed in a slight pout. She needed comforting too.
While enjoying the Snake Essence Powder Chen Mo was feeding her, Die took the chance to speak during a pause.
"Winter’s almost here," she said softly. "Once my internal injuries heal a bit more, I’ll find some thick fabric and make you a few winter robes."
"That won’t do. You’ll tire yourself out—I’d feel guilty," Chen Mo said, brushing a strand of hair from her forehead, his eyes showing a trace of guilt.
This foolish girl never argued or complained. Even after learning what had happened between her sister and him, she hadn’t thrown a tantrum. Instead, she still only thought about him.
"As long as I’m making them for you, I won’t feel tired," Die said sweetly. Her jade-like hand slipped into Chen Mo’s robe, her fingers brushing against his skin.
Yet in the depths of her gaze, a faint trace of cunning flashed.
She and her elder sister walked completely different paths. Rather than being fierce, she chose to constantly treat Chen Mo with warmth and affection. The more women he had, the more guilty he would feel toward her—making him dote on her even more.

The tone he used was no different from coaxing a child, which immediately made Die, lying on the outer side of the bed, stifle her laughter.
Queen Medusa’s face darkened to the color of storm clouds.
After much effort, Chen Mo finally managed to feed her the Snake Essence Powder.
He then blew out the candlelight, removed his outer robe, tossed it onto the floor, and lowered the bed’s gauzy curtain before lying down between them.
The room fell completely silent.
If one listened closely, only two faint breaths could be heard in the darkness.
Though Queen Medusa had earlier threatened him—"Just wait until I recover, you’ll pay for this"—now, lying there, she couldn’t help feeling uneasy.

"President Fa Ma, teacher... will she be all right?" Nalan Yanran asked anxiously, her gaze fixed on Fa Ma, who was taking Yun Yun’s pulse.
When Fa Ma finished examining her, Nalan Yanran quickly asked again, her heart aching.
