As Mo Yu and Xiao Yixian walked out of the stone door and arrived at the cave entrance, they noticed that the rope they had used to descend was now gone.
"It must be the work of the Wolf Head Mercenary Group," Mo Yu frowned, looking at the broken rope.
Hearing this, Xiao Yixian bit her lip lightly and said, "I have a way."
"Oh?" Mo Yu smiled, as if he had an idea of what she meant. "What way?"
Seeing his curiosity, Xiao Yixian took out a short bamboo flute from her bosom and placed it to her lips. She blew softly, and a strange sound wave emitted from the flute, quickly traveling through the passage and out into the night sky beyond the cliff.
Waving the flute in her hand, Xiao Yixian playfully smiled, "My companion can help us. It's a first-rank Blue Eagle."
Mo Yu nodded at her explanation. Although the Dou Qi Continent didn't have any sects that enslaved magical beasts through contracts, some people did develop bonds with them, achieving similar outcomes.
Not long after the sound wave was sent out, a sharp cry echoed through the night sky.
Under the light of the moon, Mo Yu could faintly make out a large blue eagle, swiftly flying toward them from deep within the mountains. In just a moment, it was circling below the cliff.
"Let's go," Xiao Yixian said excitedly as she waved at Mo Yu, her eyes gleaming with anticipation.
Nodding slightly, Mo Yu wrapped his arm around Xiao Yixian's slender waist, and with a leap, the two landed on the back of the massive Blue Eagle.
Upon hearing Xiao Yixian's command, the Blue Eagle flapped its wings, creating a powerful gust of wind. With the two riders securely on its back, it soared into the sky.
The space on the eagle's back was small, and with the wind rushing past them at such heights, Mo Yu didn't loosen his grip on Xiao Yixian. Instead, he held her tightly against him.
Feeling the strong hand on her slim waist and the firm chest behind her, Xiao Yixian's face gradually turned a deep shade of red, like blood rising to the surface.
However, Mo Yu, who was sitting behind her, was unaware of her blush, his focus elsewhere.
As the wind howled around them, Mo Yu's thoughts drifted. He was enjoying the softness in his arms and the convenience of the Blue Eagle's transportation, wondering if he should contract a magical beast for himself in the coming days.

He knew that Xiao Yixian's next destination would be the Chu Yun Empire, where poison masters flourished—a place perfectly suited for her cultivation.
Mo Yu had always admired Xiao Yixian, an exceptional character from the original story. Through their brief interactions, he had developed a liking for her.
However, no matter what, strength was Mo Yu's ultimate pursuit. Beautiful sights along the journey might be appreciated, but they would not cause him to stop.
