Khushi
Sitting by the window in my room, I look at the vast garden outside.
It has been raining since morning today, the sound of rain soothing and the earthy smell relaxing.
I can see a few birds, too, chirping and flying around.
After looking at them for a while, I feel sadness and envy rising within me with each passing second.
Yes, I envy them. I envy all the beings outside because they have the freedom that I do not.
I am not allowed to leave this room, let alone go to the garden and feel the grass beneath my feet.
How I wish I could do that! Go out and get drenched in the rain, feel the cool mud beneath my bare feet, and feel the cool air breeze on my face while I run around.
But I cannot do that.
He will never let me do that. I am his prisoner, and I will remain his prisoner forever.
I raise my hand to wipe the tears streaming down my face. Then, closing the drapes, I slowly move back from the window and walk toward my bed.
Once I am close enough, I look at the bed and squeeze my eyes shut as that night's memory comes unbidden to me.
"You are my wife, and you should fulfill all my whims and fancies. Do you understand?" he said, harshly pulling down my dress.
"P...please tt..ry tto..oo unn..derr...sss..tand. I... I am... not ready.... for--" Before I could complete my sentence, I heard a ripping sound and saw that he had already ripped the front of my dress, revealing my bra underneath.
I raised my hands to cover my chest, but the way he clenched his jaw in anger made me shiver.
"HANDS OFF YOUR BODY, KHUSHI," he shouted, his angry gaze so potent that my trembling hands obeyed his words.
"That's better," he said and started trailing his fingers from my neck down to my chest.
He slowly trailed his hand over my cleavage, going further down to trace the outline of my bra. Moving his fingers around my chest, he looked at me in such a way as if daring me to stop him from touching my body.
Then, without warning, he squeezed my breasts, and I jerked, trying to move away from him.
He tightened his hold on my breast, not letting me move back.
"Pll..ee..ase, it.... it hhh...uurrtss," I pleaded with him to leave me, but he just smirked in response.
"You have no choice but to submit to me, Khushi. You are my wife, and this body of yours is mine now. Mine to do whatever I wish with it," he growled, and I trembled more.
"Nnn...ooo, please." Keeping my hand on his chest, I tried to push him away with all my might while wriggling in his hold, trying to take his hands off my breasts.
He loosened his hold the next moment, and I immediately moved back to the corner of the bed, wishing I could disappear behind the wall.
I kept sitting there, sobbing as I clutched the blanket and covered my bra-clad chest.
He took a few deep breaths for a while, and I thought he had understood my plea and would not force himself on me.
But I was wrong. So very wrong.
Because after a few seconds, my husband, Arnav Rathore, opened his eyes and started to climb up the bed to come to me. His dark eyes told me he had no patience left.
Once he was close to me, he roughly clutched my jaw and glared at me. "I will claim your body tonight. It depends on you whether you want to submit to me and make it easy on yourself or if you want to refuse and make me take you forcefully. And believe me, my wife, if I used my force tonight, you would not be able to walk for a week."
I felt a shiver run through my spine as I looked at his serious face. I realized then that he meant every word.
"I... I will sub...mit." I sobbed, surrendering myself to him because I had no other choice.
Tears spring to my eyes as I continue standing in the center of the room, staring at the bed where my husband had forcefully consummated our marriage on the night of our wedding three days back.
He calls me his wife but treats me like his prisoner.
I only feel suffocation in this room. So much so that even breathing hurts sometimes.
I never wanted this.
I was a simple girl with simple dreams.
One of my dreams was to get married to a kind and loving man and have a blissful marital life with him.
But one video changed everything.
It got me tied into marriage to a man who hates me with every fiber of his being.
The man who has made me a prisoner in his mansion.
The man who has vowed to turn my life into hell.
