Bride of the Serpent King Chapter 1

"Ah!" "Mhm!" "Umm..." "Tell me you want more..." "I...I..." "Speak." "I... I... want... more." "That's it. I love it. Make your voice louder." It was a whisper—yet that powerful voice, one that only a dangerous man could possess, resonated in her ears. The room was engulfed in darkness, making it nearly impossible to see. But amidst the blackness, a pair of peculiar, glowing eyes stood out. They gleamed with excitement, and though they carried an ominous presence, they strangely seemed less threatening now. His features were unclear, but judging by the moans that filled the room, there was definitely a woman beneath him. "Zaiyila, call my name," the man murmured, lowering his head to press a kiss against her neck. His glowing eyes served as a beacon, illuminating every place his gaze landed upon. The woman beneath him was in complete disarray, her breaths uneven as though she struggled to take in air. "But... but I don't know your name," she stammered, her voice tender and seductive, a melody capable of luring anyone into another world. The man chuckled. "Everett, Zaiyila. My name is Everett. Repeat it now," he urged, still speaking in a hushed tone, never ceasing his teasing. Zaiyila exhaled a hot breath. "E... Everett," she stammered. Everett lifted his head, his eyes locking onto hers. The glow of his irises bathed her face in light, revealing her breathtaking beauty. Her once-fair complexion was now tinged red—his doing. Her hair was a tangled mess, strands scattered across the bed. The rapid pace of her heartbeat caused her chest to rise and fall, nearly brushing against Everett's face. Her hands were bound above her head, secured by his firm grip. Her eyes remained shut, making her appear so fragile, so delicate, that resisting temptation was nearly impossible. Everett gently caressed her cheek, coaxing another moan from her lips. Her eyes remained closed. "Look at you... you're already wet. You crave me, don't you?" he whispered, his lips brushing against her ear. "Ha!" A shiver coursed down Zaiyila's spine as soon as his lips made contact. "Co... come on," she whispered, unable to endure it any longer. Tears slipped from the corners of her eyes, and just as she was about to open them, Everett pressed a kiss against her eyelids stopping her from opening her eyes. "Don't open them yet," he breathed, his hand slowly trailing from her bound wrists to her tear-streaked face. "These tears should only fall when you're under me," he murmured before kissing them away. "No one else should see them," he added, his voice laced with possessiveness. Then, with his snake-like tongue, he licked away the last trace of her tears. "I've marked you already—from the moment you were inside her. It's time to be with me," he whispered, moving closer to her soft, reddened lips. He licked his own lips as he stared, unable to resist the temptation before him. "You want it badly?" he questioned. "Mhm," Zaiyila whimpered, pressing her body against his. There was something within her—something unbearable—that only he could relieve. "Please," she pleaded. Everett lowered his head, capturing her lips with the hunger of a starved wolf. Zaiyila didn't resist. Instead, she grew wilder, her passion matching his. She was desperate—desperate to take him in, to ease the ache that tormented her. If her hands weren't bound, she would have made it happen herself. But no matter how much she begged, Everett refused to give in. It was a cruel torment, and the tears continued to fall from her eyes. "Calm yourself, my dear," Everett chuckled, pulling away from the kiss. "In three days, I will take you completely. By then, you won't have to beg," he murmured. "I..." Zaiyila wanted to open her eyes, to finally see the man who was torturing her in such a wicked manner. But she knew she had to obey. She longed to free her hands—if she could, she would have found a way to satisfy herself. "Don't... please," she whispered, her voice like a drug, intoxicating and irresistible. Her legs, now restless, wrapped around his waist, pouring all her energy into drawing him closer. But she was too weak—or rather, Everett was too strong. She was no match for him. "Be patient," Everett chuckled, his fingers trailing over her smooth, snow-white thigh. "You will be fully satisfied in three days," he murmured, leaning forward once more. His lips met hers briefly before he moved lower, pressing a lingering kiss to her shoulder, sucking gently at her skin. "My mark is on you now. If you encounter any danger in the next three days, just call my name—I will come," he assured her, his lips curling into a cold smile. Zaiyila, who had been consumed by unbearable heat, now felt her head cloud with exhaustion. Words failed her, her body growing weaker as her eyelids became heavy. Everett smiled. "Sleep tight," he whispered before vanishing into a green smoke, leaving no trace of his presence behind. --- "Don't!" Zaiyila jolted upright, gasping as she awoke abruptly. Her wide eyes darted around the room, scanning every corner. Everything appeared normal. Morning light filtered in through the windows, chasing away the darkness. Realizing she was alone, she exhaled a sigh, her mood sour. "It was the dream again," she muttered, her face pale. She sat at the edge of the bed, heaving another sigh before reaching for the blue necklace around her neck. With an irritated scoff, she tore it off and hurled it to the floor. "It's useless anyway. It doesn't do anything. What era are we in that I'm still believing in things like this? I must be crazy," she laughed bitterly, shaking her head as she made her way to the bathroom. Meanwhile, the necklace she had discarded vanished into a wisp of black smoke. After finishing her bath, Zaiyila wrapped herself in a towel, her gaze unconsciously drifting toward the spot where she had thrown the necklace. Seeing nothing there, she sighed and walked over to the dressing mirror. "There's no need to dwell on this. It's always been like this," she thought, grabbing her body cream. Just as she was about to apply it, something shocking happened. Her beautiful black eyes widened. She stepped closer to the mirror, turning slightly to the left to get a better view of what had appeared on her shoulder. Her breath hitched. A massive snake tattoo—intricately detailed—stretched from her back up to her shoulder. It was large enough to make anyone think she was obsessed with tattoos. Her body trembled as the images from her dream flooded her mind, making her head spin in dizziness.
