/Mike's pov/
He stared at me with a strange expression on his face, then his eyes widened. "She's not your..." he trailed off, his eyes wide with surprise as he looked at me.
Dang. Now he's on the ball, I nodded, but it was a sluggish nod. "It's true," I affirmed. I couldn't keep a big smile from spreading over my face as I realized that someone had finally heard about us.
With a shake of his head, he broke out laughing. "When Jake finds out, he's going to have your balls in his hands. I mean, he's going to rip you a new one out of your asshole."
I whacked his shoulder with a smile on my face. "He's already aware of it." I shrugged, a smile on my face as his face flushed red with surprise.
"No way man! "Did he beat the crap out of you?" he inquired, his voice full of curiosity.
I laughed and made a downward motion towards myself. “Does it look like he beat the crap out of me?” I asked, chuckling.
He suddenly looked pissed off. “All that freaking time I never asked her out because I thought Jake would cut my balls off, and he didn’t do anything? Damn it, I knew I should have asked her out!” he grumbled, looking annoyed.
“Too late now,” I teased, slapping his shoulder again as I went to get a drink.
I grabbed two shots of vodka and went to go and find her and tell her that Casey knew. I didn’t bother telling him not to say anything; I wanted this out in the open. I couldn’t care less about the money. In a couple of years, when I was playing hockey professionally, that would seem like peanuts and I could give her anything she wanted.
I caught a glimpse of her dancing with Kate and Sean to the side of the room. I smirked as I placed my arm around her waist, causing her to leap to her feet. "Hey, sweetheart," I said in hushed tones in her ear. While she pressed her ass on my crotch, she grinned at me from behind her back, making me wish to be with her once more. I drew her closer to me and danced behind her, handing her one of the shots I had prepared.
“Thanks.” She swallowed it with a glad grin on her face, a tiny twinge in her stomach.
"So, I've got something I'd want to share with you," I said, a little shyly.
She shifted her gaze to meet me. "So, what is it then?" she said a smile on her face. Her ecstatic expression told me that she clearly believed she had come across something worthwhile.
Keeping my voice low and near to her so no one could hear me, I added gently, "Casey knows you're my girl."
She let out a gasp. "He does? How?” she inquired, evidently taken aback, as she cast a wary eye about the room.
"It was by chance that I told him. I warned him he couldn't get near you because he was going to make a move on you," I said, a regretful smile on my face, hoping she wouldn't scold me for upsetting her plans with Jessica and the bet.
She took a step closer to me as she rolled her eyes. While she placed her arms around my neck and danced with me once more, she chided me humorously for having a "big mouth." I drew her closer to me, embracing her securely in my arms and reveling in the sensation of her body against mine. She flashed a bright grin. "Well then, Mike, if people are going to find out, we may as well put on a show for them," she flirted, lifting one brow in amusement as she said it.
And what in the world does this mean? She laughed and kissed me hard on the lips as she dragged my face down to hers. I could hear others gasping and frantically starting conversations around us, but it didn't bother me. I was kissing the lady of my dreams, and she was over heels in love with me. I drew her closer to me, sliding my tongue over her lip as I yearned for more. After about a minute or two, I eased out of the kiss and began kissing her along her neck, causing her to groan softly in response.
I leaned very close to her neck and grinned since I was aware that others were looking. Finally, there will be no more faking, no more listening to the boys speak about her and wanting to knock the living daylights out of them. I stepped back to take a closer look at her, and she was beaming at me and looked insanely attractive.
Mike, I love you," she whispered, her eyes focused on me. I could hear several other individuals gasp once again.
"I love you as well, Angel," I said almost instantly.
I was quite aware that people were talking about us, and that virtually the whole room was staring, but I couldn't care less. All I could think about was her lovely eyes and how she was peering intently into mine, which was driving me insane at the time. I wrapped my arms around her even closer, unable to bear the thought of the moment coming to an end. She had an exquisite physique, and the way it swayed against mine was nearly unpleasant to see.
It was almost too much for me to handle. We had a good time dancing for nearly an hour. Now that others were aware of our existence, I refused to leave her side, desiring to spend more time with her. It was rare that I had the opportunity to spend time with her during parties; I was either too preoccupied with making sure nothing happened to their home since Jake was often off his face, or I was hooking up with a lady out the back.

I сhuсkled аnd rоlled my eyes аt the sаme time. "Оf соurse, Аngel." I'd give everything tо be аble tо рut my аrms аrоund her sultry bоdy right nоw. Then she smiled аnd stаrted tо wаlk аwаy; I рlасed my hаnds оn her h*рs аnd fоllоwed her раst the thrоngs оf рeорle tо her bedrооm. Аs sооn аs we wаlked thrоugh the dооr, she turned tо fасe me, а misсhievоus exрressiоn оn her fасe, аnd I reаlized thаt the tаunting wаsn't finished yet. I mоаned in the bасkgrоund. Jeez, I lоved this girl mоre thаn аnything in the wоrld, but she wаs driving me соmрletely insаne!
