After taking a long shower to wash away the sweat, Azrael headed to the academy cafeteria to fill his stomach.
The cafeteria for first-year students was massive, even larger than a football stadium, as it needed to provide meals for thousands of hungry students each day.
As Azrael glanced at the class schedule, he noticed that Ronald's energy control class was still ongoing. Because of that, he didn't bother asking Felix to eat with him, knowing he would still be occupied in the lesson.
For the top three ranked students, everything in the cafeteria that was below Epic level—meaning the meat of Class-level and lower monsters, or fruits of similar grade was provided free of charge.
However, if they wanted something of higher quality, such as the meat of an Epic-level monster, they had to pay for it using academy credits.
Meanwhile, for students who were not among the top three of the Elite Class or were in the normal class, the privileges were much stricter.
They could only take food of Apprentice Warrior level for free, while anything above that required payment in credits.
This was yet another clear example of what Ashara had told him before: the Slayers Academy was a place where everything revolved around one's strength. As long as a student was strong enough, resources were made available to them.
Azrael wasn't particularly picky about food, nor did he have any intention of wasting credits on high-level dishes. As such, he contented himself with the free options provided.
By the time he finished eating, it was already close to his appointment time with Mira. Without delay, he returned to his mansion and took a hover car, heading toward the academy's teleportation hub.
Mira's office was located deep within the campus, several thousand kilometers away from his current position. Because of this, he needed to use a teleportation formation to reach it.
Every month, each student was granted five free opportunities to use the teleportation formations. Beyond that, however, each additional use required fifteen academy credits, since activating a teleportation formation was an expensive process. If the academy allowed unlimited free use, even they would suffer financial strain.
Thanks to the hover car, Azrael arrived at the teleportation hub within half an hour. The hub itself was an enormous square filled with numerous teleportation formations.
Although using the formations was uncommon for most people—due to the limited free opportunities and the high cost of credits— there were still plenty of individuals present, moving in and out of the glowing circles.
Among them were not only professors and students of the academy but also citizens and merchants from other parts of the planet who relied on the academy's formations for convenience. Of course, those people had to pay large sum of cosmic energy stones to use them.
Amid the noise and bustle of the crowd, Azrael made his way toward one of the formations. At the same time, he took out his student ID card and messaged Mira to let her know he was coming.
Naturally, since she was the one who had summoned him, there was no way he would spend one of his free opportunities to cover the teleportation.
Mira, being a filthy rich vice principal, could easily afford it, while he himself was just a poor student with barely two hundred credits to his name.
A few seconds later, Azrael received a reply from Mira, instructing him to ask the operator to send him directly to her office.
He was slightly surprised when he read this as he hadn't expected that it was possible to teleport straight into the vice principal's office, but he didn't press further on the matter.
As for the teleportation fee, if the academy system accidentally deducted one of his free uses, he resolved to politely ask Mira to reimburse him afterward.
The operator managing the formation was a man who appeared to be around thirty-five years old. Though Azrael couldn't sense his aura, he assumed the man was at least a Legend Rank warrior.
At first, Azrael found it strange that someone of such a high level would be working as a mere teleportation operator.
But after some thought, it made sense. The teleportation hub was one of the most important facilities in the academy, as it connected countless vital locations together. If it were left in the hands of someone weak and something went wrong, it could easily plunge the academy into chaos.
When the man noticed Azrael approaching, he gave him a slight nod of greeting and asked.
"Where do you want to go?"
"To Vice Principal Mira's office," Azrael replied calmly.
The man froze for a moment and gave him a strange look.
"You want to go directly to the vice principal's office?"
"Yes," Azrael nodded, then added, "If you have any doubts, you can confirm with the vice principal yourself. She was the one who asked me to come directly."
The man didn't argue. Instead, he turned to check the available teleportation coordinates and his eyes widened slightly when he noticed that the vice principal's office—normally inaccessible by teleportation was currently listed as available.
"Please wait a moment," The operator said. Although Mira's office showing up in the list already confirmed Azrael's claim, he still sent a quick message to someone for confirmation.
Only after receiving a reply did he nod in approval and gesture toward the formation.
"Thank you," Azrael replied with a nod and walked into the formation.
The next instant, a bright silver light enveloped his body, and his figure vanished from the hub.
Azrael immediately felt the familiar sensation of his surroundings twisting and bending, accompanied by the uncomfortable pressure that always came with teleportation.
Fortunately, since the distance this time wasn't too great, he recovered quickly.
When his mind cleared and his vision settled, he found himself standing inside a neatly decorated office.
"Have a seat," A gentle voice greeted him. Looking forward, Azrael saw Mira sitting at her desk, occupied with paperwork.
Without disturbing her, he calmly walked over to the chair in front of the desk and sat down, his eyes wandering briefly across the office as he waited.
He had barely settled when Mira suddenly tossed a file toward him.
"Take a look at this."
Azrael raised an eyebrow and caught the file with ease.
"What is this?" He asked curiously.
"A mission," Mira replied without lifting her head from the papers she was reviewing.
"Go through it and tell me what you think."
