LANCE'S POV
I was tired. So tired.
Nothing was making any sense.
Was it even possible for someone to be dead and alive at the same time?
The longer I thought about it the lesser I knew or seemed to understand.
I heard a knock on my room door.
I checked my phone 6:45 am and the 6th of November 2015.
There was another knock on the door.
I sighed, "Come in."
Gina came into the room already dressed in her school uniform and sat on my bed. "Are you okay?" she asked.
"Fine, I'm just thinking," I replied
"Is it about Vivian?" She asked.
I nodded and sighed deeply.
"I met her yesterday." Said, Gina
"You met Vivian? When?"
"Yesterday. I was walking back home after you left with Gina Johnson. She told me something that bothered me"
"What did she say?"
Gina seemed tense as she constructed the words in her mind.
"She said that I have a sister." as she said those words, she searched my face for answers. My face remained passive but she saw through my facade.
"You knew about it, didn't you?" She asked trying to hold back her anger, "You knew that we both had a step-sister and you didn't say anything?!"
I didn't know what to say. What was I supposed to say?
I was going to tell her but...
Wait a minute, how did Vivian know about such a thing?!
"You're not going to say anything?" Gina asked obviously pained.
"I was going to tell you but at the right time," I said
"When was the right time?"
"I don't know."
She stood up from the bed, "When did you find out about it?"
"The day we found out about Vivian's death. I was not so sure about it so I asked my mom and she confirmed it."
Gina sighed and left the room.
I got up and had my bath and prepared for school. I was so glad it was a Friday.
I went down for breakfast but only saw Charity with her arms crossed.
"What?" I asked while sitting on the dining chair.
"What did you do to Gina?" asked Charity, "She seemed pretty down."
"I made a stupid mistake." I said while sipping a cup of tea, "Where is Gina?"
"She left."
I sighed and finished eating my breakfast.

When I got to school, I headed over to the Senior section to check on Gina. I peeped into her class and saw her talking to her classmates. She looked fine to me.
I headed to my class and waited for the assembly bell to go off.
Something wasn't right.
"Hey there!" a voice said, "Why are you spacing out?"
I looked up to find out who its owner was. Surprisingly, it was Rita. My step-sister.
"What's wrong?" she asked.
"Nothing." I replied, "What do you need?"
"Just wanted to check up on you. We haven't talked to each other since that day."
"I see. As you can observe, I'm perfectly fine."
"You don't look fine. You seemed to be spaced out when I walked in."
I looked down and sighed, "Just thinking about stuff."
She held my chin and tilted my face upwards and stared at me, "Your eyes"
"Anything wrong with them?" I asked
"They look so...." Her voice trailed off as she let go of my chin.
"They look so what?" my eyebrows furrowed as I asked.
"Familiar."
The assembly bell went off. She bade her goodbyes and left for assembly.
I didn't go to the assembly line. From what I observed, Rita didn't know I was her brother or step-brother. Speaking of which, was she my sister or step-sister?
Since we share the same mother guess we are full siblings. But wait, she's also Gina's sister, so does that also make Gina my sister?
"Skipping assembly I see," said Dan as he walked into the class with his left hand around Glory's waist.
"Guess you're both skipping as well," I said
"We just wanted to have a quick warm-up before school started," said Glory, "Care to join us?"
"Nah, I'm good," I said and got up to take my leave.
As I walked out of class for assembly, something caught my attention.
GINA'S POV
I still don't know why I was following the girl. She wore a uniform belonging to the junior section and from what she said, she wanted to use the restroom but it was filled up. So I volunteered to take her to the school's backyard so she could do her business.
We got to the school's backyard and I stood guard as she eased herself. She let out a relieving sigh. I had a feeling I had seen her somewhere before but I couldn't remember.
"All done!" she exclaimed as she dressed properly.
"Good, let's get back to the assembly line," I said as I turned to walk away.
She grabbed my hand stopping me in my tracks. I turned to her and raised a questioning brow.
"Just wait a bit," she said, "I wanted to tell you something."
"Tell me what exactly?" I asked
"I've taken a fancy to you."
"Huh?"
"It's not like I'm in love with you or anything, I'm just infatuated with you."
I blinked twice and was about to burst into a laughing fit when I saw the dead-serious stare in her eyes. Her eyes... why did they seem so... familiar?
"So what do you want?" I asked
She smiled and replied, "A one-night-stand."
"Sure, why not?" I said.
She pulled me closer to her. She was strong for someone her size. I wasn't going to let her lead this. I grabbed her waist as she encircled my neck with her hands. I pulled her in for a deep passionate kiss. She was breathing hard as she submitted to my onslaughts. She clutched my hair as she tried to tame my force. I grabbed her hands and placed them above her head and started to nibble on her neck. She moaned under my control. For some reason, being in charge seemed to turn me on. Using only one of my hands, I kept her hands above her head secured while my other hand unbuttoned her uniform to reveal her still-developing breasts. Her breasts were cute thanks to its size. We were both taken aback and looked for the owner of the voice. It belonged to Emilia, Lance's mom. Lance was also with her. His face remained passive. The strange girl and I dressed up.
"My, my! Both of you were actually devouring yourselves," said Emilia.
"Mom, what are you doing here?" the girl asked
Mom? She couldn't be!
"Lance called me to come," said Emilia, "He wanted me to be the one to introduce you to your sister. But I see you've already met her."
"Sister?" the girl asked. She turned and stared at me and finally it all clicked in her head. She gasped and covered her mouth in shock and surprise.
Lance spoke up, "Gina meet Rita; our step-sister."
"Our?" asked Rita while staring at Emilia with utter confusion.
Emilia nodded, "Lance is my first son, and Gina is your father's first daughter."
"Lance is my step-brother?" Rita asked, hardly believing her ears, "but we both..."
Her voice trailed off as she stared at the ground.
"You both what?" I asked.
"We both had sex," Lance said still remaining passive.
Emilia raised a brow, while Rita seemed like she wanted the ground to swallow her up.
"Rest assured," Lance said, "All we had was oral sex. Plus, we didn't even know we were related. So I guess it couldn't be helped."
"I'm not mad or upset. I just thought Rita was a lesbian," said Emilia with a sigh, "I didn't know she was bisexual."
I looked at Lance with questioning eyes. He just sighed and said, "Yes. The strange woman is my mother."
"Strange? Lance, you're mean!" Emilia said with a pouting voice.
"Well, your purpose here is complete mother, be gone," He said while walking away.
"How about a goodbye kiss for mummy?" she said
"None will be given," he replied and was gone.
Emilia heaved a sigh, "You guys best head to class."
Rita and I nodded and walked past her. As I walked past her, she gave my ass a tight squeeze making me whimper. She smiled and said, "Welcome to the family."
Narrator's POV
Gina Johnson flipped through some documents and files searching for answers. Something was off. Lance's reaction towards her in the morgue was not how a normal 15-year-old would react.
At first, she was going to ignore the whole thing and act as if nothing happened but for some strange reason, she felt some sort of familiarity with Vivian when he reacted that way.
What made her want to investigate in this matter was because she didn't feel that strange aura when he was in the car with her.
She had never heard about conditions that made one have the same characteristics as that of his/her blood donor.
Then again, the blood donor was a girl who was supposed to be dead for over four years.
She placed the file back into its drawer.
"Nothing huh?" she said with a sigh.
Something scurried past her, making her shriek in the process. It was just a rat. She let out a sigh of relief.
"Maybe, this was a bad idea," she said.
The house she was in belonged to Vivian. She broke into the house to find some answers and wasn't anywhere near a clue. As she was about to give up her search, something caught her attention.
It was a brown envelope with a seal of one of the richest families in Port Harcourt; The Everglades.
She finally had a lead!
When she opened the envelope it was a letter requesting a partnership between, The Everglades and The Collins.
Whatever it was, it concerned a certain experiment known as the Vivlío tis lagneías.
The Everglade family was offering the Collins family an opportunity to participate in this experiment and it would need a female child. A female child who should be 14 years old and still a virgin.
"Snooping around?" a voice belonging to one with a voice clouded with darkness, asked.
