TIFFANY'S POV.
"Get up Tiffany! You're going to be late for work" my mother's voice boomed.
I'm sure my neighbours would be aware of my job right now.
She came into my room and said, "Sweetie it's your first day of work, you don't want to create a bad impression about yourself now would you?"
"No, I don't mom"
"Good! Like I always tell you, you won't know when the right man is watching you"
I groaned. My mom has never met anyone who has called himself my boyfriend so she has been a bit worried about that.
If only she knew her daughter loves girls...
"Don't just sit there! Get dressed" she said while trying to make me get up.
"Fine! Fine!! "
I got up and headed for the shower. I was almost done when I heard my mom's voice,
"Tiffany, did you thank the young man who gave you the job?"
Shit!! I forgot about that
"Yes I did mom" I lied.
"Oh OK! "
That's right I haven't thanked Lance for the job.
He called during the weekend and asked me if I had a job. I told him I didn't have any right now but was looking for one.
He told me that "The Restaurant " one of the most prestigious restaurants in Port Harcourt was hiring waiters. "The Restaurant" belonged to one multi-millionaire who is currently late.
I wondered how Lance found out they were hiring but I didn't let it bother me much. I was grateful for the job. I still have to thank him though.
After the shower, I wrapped the towel around my body but decided to let it drop.
I observed myself in the mirror and let out a huge sigh. Not of relief but disgust.
I wasn't satisfied with what I saw.

"I didn't. Thanks for telling me though" he said and I could hear the smirk in his voice "Don't be late. Mr Richman doesn't like late workers."
"OK, I won't. Thanks for the job" I said
"Don't mention it," he replied and hung up.
He's crazy.
I got dressed up and left the house.
I tried calling Stacy but her number wasn't going through.
Probably poor network. I muttered to myself.
'The Restaurant' was in old GRA Port Harcourt which was a bit far from my place.
Lucky for me there was no traffic.
When I got to 'The Restaurant' it was already 9:00 am. I was 30mins early although they were already open and customers were coming in.
I went in and met one of the waiters,
"Hi! My name is Tiffany" I said "Sorry to bother you but I came to see Mr Richman"
"Wait, are you Tiffany George?" he asked
"Yes I am"
"OK my name is John Anthony" he offered his hand and I shook it briefly
"Nice to meet you, John"
"Likewise. You're supposed to start work in the next 30mins or so. Come with me please"
I followed him to a room with a sign that read: "STAFF ONLY"
He took out a plastic bag and handed it to me and said: "Hope it fits".
I thanked him and accepted it then went to the workers' restroom to change.
It fit perfectly.
A lady met me and handed me an ID card with my name on it.
"Welcome to 'The Restaurant', my name is Rita Smith and I am in charge of the waiters," she said.
"Thank you ma. Uhm so what do I do?" I asked almost sheepishly.
She let out a soft chuckle and said, "Basically you serve the customers their food"
"I don't take their orders?"
"No, you won't. They order for themselves from their tables." she said then handed me a tablet "This tablet is synced to tables 3, 7, 12,18 whenever they order, you'll receive a notification from the kitchen and you deliver the food to the hungry customer"
"Oh OK. So how do I know the tables?"
"That's why I'm here. Before your shift starts, let me show you around."
And she did. When my shift started, I was already used to the tables and could navigate properly.
The job wasn't as difficult as I thought it would be.
The customers simply sent their orders to the kitchen and the kitchen sends me the tables to serve. Salary 40,000 naira.
It's a steal.
The day came to an end before I knew it. As my shift was about to end, something happened.
A young girl was sitting at table 3 all alone for almost 30mins and I hadn't received any orders for her.
"Maybe she needs some help," I said to myself and walked over to her table. She was looking down at the tab.
"Hi, there!" I said as nicely as I could, "Do you need any help."
She lifted her eyes and looked at me.
Her eyes were somewhat dark.
No, I don't mean like colour.
It's like she had darkness or something I couldn't place my finger on at that moment.
"Yes I do need your help," she said with a smile
"Uhm... How can I help?" I asked.
"You see I'm on my period and I was thinking maybe you could come with me to the restroom"
"I don't think I can"
"Aww please" she pleaded, "it would only take a minute"
I looked at the other tables and saw that all my tables were empty. With a sigh, I took her hand and led her to the restroom.
"Did you bring your pads?" I asked as soon as we got in
"No, I didn't"
I sighed, "How old are you?"
"I'm 14. What about you?"
"16. As a young lady, you should always be prepared for these situations." I said.
I turned to get a tissue when I felt her walking towards me.
"Poor girl. She must want to get clean real fast" I thought
"Just chill," I said, "I've got the tissues right... "
My words were cut short as she covered my mouth and slammed me on the wall.
"What the fu..."
My mouth was covered but this time it was with her mouth.
She kissed me so passionately that I could feel myself getting wet.
"Stop it" I managed to say while breathing hard
"Do you want me to?" she asked while running her hands under my shirt. I could feel her fingers circling my navel, then she asked again "Do you want me to?"
"Yes... I mean... No... Someone might see" I said weakly.
"Don't worry, I've got it covered" she whispered.
She kissed me again forcing her tongue in my mouth. This time I tried resisting but, I felt too weak to do anything.
I kissed her back grabbing her head and pulling her closer to me. We continued making out for about 5mins or so when she broke free from the kiss.
I was breathing hard but she looked calm about the whole thing.
"You're not on your period are you?" I asked.
"No, I'm just horny," she said with a smirk
"Is that so? "
"Come on, " she said opening the door, "your shift is over"
She left me there.

"I can't cross the road," she said while holding out her hand.
I was a bit sceptical but I took her hand.
