Goodbye Note
Landon.
Natasha was awake now, I can go now. I stood up straight and smiled bleakly.
"I have to go now," I said and they all nodded in acknowledgement. I walked out of the room and stopped by the room I stayed, grabbing my car key and walking out.
I need to find Viktor.
I climbed into my car and started the engine, driving out of the mansion. There wasn't a lot of places Viktor could have gone to. He had to have gone to his house.
I drove to his house quickly and in ten minutes, I arrived there. I noticed that his car wasn't parked there, but I walked up to the door and rung the door bell.
He didn't answer me so I rung the door bell again. I didn't get a response and I grabbed the door knob. To my surprise, the door was open and I slowly opened it, walking into the house.
"Hello? Viktor?" I asked with my voice echoing around the house. I switched on the light and I walked to his room.
"Viktor?" I walked into his room, but he wasn't there. I checked the kitchen and his bathroom, but I couldn't find him.
I sighed in frustration and I walked back to his room. I noticed that his closet was open and I went to check it.
The closet was empty and my heart skipped as I realised what happened. Viktor he packed out all his things.
He was moving away.
I moved back slowly and I sat on the bed with tears stinging the corners of my eyes. How could he leave! How could he just abandon everything we had.
I should have known that a day like this would come. I should have never gotten close to him, although the little time I had with him was one of the best I had.
I pulled out my phone and dialed his number. His phone was ringing, but he wasn't picking the call. I continued dialing his number and I stood up, wiping my face with the heel of my palms.
Where are you Viktor? I walked out of his room and shoved my fingers into my hair.
I walked out of the houses and climbed into my car. I shut the door and I rested my head on the steering of the car.
Why?!! I hit my fist on the dashboard and broke into a sob.
Where is he?! Where are you Viktor.
I had a feeling that he was just here and I missed him.
I sat up straight, wiping my face again and I dialed Viktor's number again.
I started the engine and I drove back to my house. As I got close to my house, I looked up to see someone standing at my door. It was Viktor. I pulled over right where I was and climbed down quickly.
He slipped a note under the door and he was about to go, but I quickly called him.
"Viktor!" He stopped walking for a while, but he continued walking and I quickly ran after him.
Viktor.
As soon as Natasha drove that dagger through my heart, all the things I had done came flooding into my mind.
What have I done?
I raised my head and as my eyes met Landon, i felt so guilty. Guilty about everything I said. Guilty that I tried to kill him.
He probably hated me or saw me as a monster right now. He moved closer to me, but I wasn't ready to speak to any of them, I didn't know what to say. So I immediately stood up and zoomed out as fast as I could. I didn't stop running until I got to the main road and I waved down a cab.
The cab stopped and I quickly climbed in, sighing deeply.
I muttered my house address to the cab driver and I closed my eyes. I knew that Papa was dead and Luther wouldn't be a bit interested in making me evil again, but I can't stay here.
After everything that has happened, I cannot risk being around those who know what I really am.
I cannot be around supernaturals. Needs for my abilities would always arise and every time I use my abilities, I take a step closer to the dark side. I recalled killing someone at Dante's pack and when sighed bitterly.
I can't be here. I can't continue to hurt those I care about. The cab stopped and I realised I didn't have any money on me.
I leaned closer to the driver and stared into his eyes.
"Thanks for the free ride," I said and the driver nodded as I compelled him.
I climbed down from the car and walked into my house. I walked straight to my room and sat on the bed, panting heavily.
I stood up and looked into the mirror, touching my face.
I hated this face and everything it reminded me of. I closed my eyes and when I opened it, I was Viktor again.
I can't be in this city. I grabbed a suitcase immediately and placed it on my bed. I opened my closet and began to grab my clothes, roughly squeezing it into the suitcase. I closed up the suitcase and grabbed another one, emptying the clothes in my closet into it.
Tears stung my eyes as I thought about Landon. It hurt me so much that I had to do this.
I wanted to see him one last time before I leave, but I was afraid that I won't be able to leave if I see him.
He was the first person I ever opened my heart too and he made me feel emotions that gave my life a meaning. But I almost killed him, he would be dead if he wasn't an illusion then.
I went to my reading table and grabbed a note and pen, quickly scribbling down a goodbye note.
I grabbed the suitcases and walked out the house quickly. I knew that Landon might want to search for me and I didn't want him to find me.
I looked at the note in my hand and decided to stop by Landon's house first. As I got there, I walked to his door and bent down to slip the note under his door. I was about to walk away when I suddenly heard his voice behind me.
"Viktor!"
