We continued walking towards the sound and we stopped in front of an open room.
A man was strung up with silver chains. There were several cuts and gashes on his body.
Pedro was standing beside him and glaring at him angrily. He was holding a large whip that was being soaked in a liquid - molten silver.
He raised up the whip and he whipped the man on the back twice, creating two deep gashes and causing the man to cry out in pain, his voice echoing around the building.
"How dare you lay your filthy hands on Jazel, you animal!" Pedro yelled and he whipped the man across the side making him scream out in pain again.
Pedro looked so angry and murderous right now, but he still had that Vampire beauty and charm..
I looked at the man, feeling a bit of pity for him, but I can't have any opinion now till I know who he is and what was happening.
"Who is he?" I asked Viktor and he smiled.
"That man is my father," Viktor stated and I gasped in surprise, looking at the man again as Pedro whipped him one more time.
Pedro dropped the whip and he was handed a long silver sword with shining blades by another Vampire in the room.
Pedro grabbed the jaw of the man and he raised up his head, staring into his weak eyes.
"See you in hell." Pedro gritted his teeth and drove the sword into his heart.
"Your father?? What did he do?? Why did Pedro kill him?" I asked and Viktor smiled before placing his hand on my shoulder.
I blinked and the next moment, the two of us were standing somewhere else.
We were back outside on the street, but in a more crowded area with more stalls and shops. It was infact, a market area.
"Good evening," a woman greeted and waved at a shop owner with a smile as she walked down the road. She was wearing a light cream dress that flowed with the rhythm of the breeze and her movement.
She was incredibly beautiful and she looked so angelic with the smile on her face.
"Thank you for the other day, lady Jazel," another shop owner thanked her and she smiled.
"It's nothing." She said and she quickly continued walking, it looked as if she was in a hurry.
She smiled at another shop owner and she waved, "Inket, I haven't forgotten you. You'll heart from me," she said quickly and continued quickly, not waiting to listen to his words of appreciation.
"Who is she?" I asked Viktor.
"That's my mother, Jazel," Viktor said and I smiled, glancing at her again.
"She was a very beautiful and kind woman. Even after her husband was killed, leaving her with two children, she didn't lose the life and contagious joy that she had," Viktor said and Jazel stopped walking in front of a shop.
"Mike, give me two cans of sweet corn," she said and the shop owner quickly got what she requested and handed it to her.
Jazel took out money from her purse and handed it to Mike before dropping the purse and things she bought into the bag she carried.
"Everyone in the clan loved her and she had a good life until-"
All of a sudden, I heard two loud gunshots and everyone scattered around in fear. Jazel dropped the bag in her hand and as she was about to run, three men appeared out of nowhere.
They were Werewolves and one of them was the man that I just saw Pedro kill, Viktor's father.
They suddenly attacked Jazel and she tried to fight them, but they overpowered her and carried her away.
"Those men including my father were brothers and their parents and sister was killed by my Grandfather," Viktor said and we continued walking down the street as they took Jazel away.
"After abducting her, she was raped by my father and they brought her back badly injured. She was between life and death," Viktor said and he placed his hand on my shoulder again.
I blinked and in that instant, we appeared in a different place.
We were in a cozy room with two lamps illuminating the room.
There was a large bed and Jazel was lying on it unconsciously with a protruded belly.
"She was unconscious for several months and during that period, a baby was growing inside of her. Me," Viktor said. Pedro was standing by the bed and a doctor was examining her.
"She's too weak. She won't make it and the child in her might die too," the doctor said and Pedro looked so pained and hurt.
"Thank you, you can go," Pedro said and the doctor carried his things before going.
Pedro closed the door and leaned on it with a sigh. He had an hesitant look in his eyes before he slowly walked towards a drawer. He opened the drawer and pulled out a glass vial, holding it up. It contained blood.
"Earlier that month, Pedro had gotten his hand on the blood of a powerful demon, Xithon killed by a society called the NightHunters," Viktor explained and I looked at Pedro again as I realized what he must have done.
Just as I thought, Pedro took out a syringe and after filling it with blood, he injected it into Jazel's belly.
I gasped as I opened my eyes and Viktor broke the kiss. So that was how he has those powers.
"He kept injecting her for months and I survived in my mother's womb. When I was ready to be born, I was cut out of her," Viktor said.
"I didn't exhibit any special powers until the day I siphoned Javier and Luther." He added.
"Does that mean you are a Tribrid??" I asked.
"No, I'm not part Demon, I only have Demon blood," he replied and I nodded, but that still had to make him something as a Werewolf -Vampire Hybrid with Demon blood.
"I'm a Reaper."
