Boiling Beast Bloodline Chapter 169

169: Chapter 9: Old Acquaintances Meet_1 169: Chapter 9: Old Acquaintances Meet_1 In the caves of the Red Earth Highland, piles of embers and leftover animal bones, now turned white, could be found. ᴜᴘᴅᴀᴛᴇ ꜰʀᴏᴍ NoveI~Fire.net Ning Yu browsed through several caves, each delineated by signs of such. In one cave, several piles of desiccated, disorganized excrement could also be found. “Karu!” Ning Yu called over the ogre slave and asked, “We’re deep into the Donau Wasteland now. Do you have many ogre and goblin tribes here?” “We, the ogres and goblins, all live nomadically in the Wasteland,” Karu replied, swinging his ugly head. “Those on the outskirts are the small tribes, with only the larger tribes having the right to live in the central Wasteland because it’s free from regular cleanups by the Bimon Army.” “I see…” Ning Yu bit her lip, her concern quietly mounting. With the pandas and the Mastiff People out logging, they could return within the night, but who knew if the place would be suddenly assaulted by bandits from the Wasteland. We encountered a group of wandering Beamons while cleaning the caves!” The skunk man, who was the leader of the Kunk tribe and named Jaza, rushed over in a panic, “We had an argument with this group of Beamons! What she feared really did come true – trouble had arrived even before dusk. “I’ll go see!” Avril created a water arrow with a snap of her fingers, then uttered a cold huff. “Those wandering Beamons have gone too far! We mentioned the name of Lord Richard, but they didn’t even appreciate it!” The skunk man looked smug. “Quit talking nonsense, Jaza! Lead the way!” Ning Yu interrupted the skunk’s incessant boasting. The skunk ducked his head, daring not to make any more unnecessary comments, and led the eager ogre and the two lady bosses out of the cave. They made their way to another small cave along the winding trails of the Red Earth Highland. Already, several skunks and hedgehog people were gathered at the entrance of the cave. Each of the skunks stood wordily, their tiny bodies straight. Halflingsed among them, trying their hardest to watch the spectacle, would yelp when they accidentally bumped into the hedgehogs. “Stop the noise,” ordered Avril majestically. She never realized that the skunks could be so forceful when they engaged in quarrels. As soon as the lady bosses appeared, the skunks and hedgehogs smartly made way. This cave was much more comfortable than the others, facing southward. The warm autumn sun shone its light right into the cave. There were pots of wild roses planted in ancient bronze helmets hanging around the entrance, forming a natural curtain with the dangling white flowers on their green tendrils. Standing at the entrance of the cave were four lean Beamons with green skin. Their narrow necks held up long heads with elongated eyes. They all wore tattered robes each holding two green serrated broadswords. Thin membrane-like banners were raised behind them. Compared to the beggar that Witherspoon encountered, they looked almost worse. But the air about them was entirely different – they had a unique gaze that one would never forget – the gaze of the never-surrendered. The Beamons initially held stern expressions, but seeing two beautiful women emerging from the crowd, along with an ogre that carried two little pets, they appeared somewhat taken aback by the contrast. “If you have something to say, say it to us.” Avril’s face was stiff with frost, making her gaze chilling as she slowly surveyed the wandering Beamons with their double swords. “You have no right to chase us away! We’ve been living here for a long time already!” snapped one green-skinned Beamon, clearly indignant. As soon as the green-skinned Beamon spoke, Avril knew exactly what was going on. “The territory of Baron Richard of the Bimon Kingdom spans 500 miles inside the Feilengcui Domain. No one is going to drive you away!” Avril turned her glare at Jaza, “As Beamons, we are all one family. Why should we chase them away?” Although the Kunk Tribe’s skunk people and Hedgehog People from Sea Ditch Rainbow Tribe were short in stature, they were a combative species. However, their combative nature was completely different from that of the Panda warriors. After a while, Ning Yu and Avril had seen enough. They loved sparking disputes and arguing; however, after lots of shouting, they never actually came to blows. There were not many brave people everywhere. If all were desperadoes, the world would be impossible to live in. The skunks and hedgehogs belonged to a group that liked to stir up trouble. They used Taige’s name to bully others, knowing that they had strength in numbers. These Vassal Clans didn’t necessarily want to drive the four Beamons away. It was the cave itself that they wanted, as it was well lit and quite cozy. These guys wanted to flatter the bosses by taking it, but it seemed that this plan had backfired on them. Seeing the bosses chiding them, the vassal clans quickly shrunk back, their former arrogance suddenly dissipated. “Gentleman, may I ask if you are the natives here? We are all members of the Grand Bimon Family, so I would like to apologize in advance for the trouble caused by my Vassal Clans…” After looking at these disappointing vassal clans, Ning Yu sighed, then quickly apologized to the Beamons.
