Boiling Beast Bloodline Chapter 117

117: Chapter 2: Appetizer of the Wilderness Feast_2 117: Chapter 2: Appetizer of the Wilderness Feast_2 The problem with flying daggers was solved . Even the pandas began to learn to use flying daggers when they were free. The martial arts talent of these pandas moved Richard deeply and he wished his followers could be like them. However, he was also deeply moved by the loyal mastiff warriors. Ever since they had entered the boundless Donau Wasteland, they had volunteered to search for water and hunt for food. Their keen senses had them bringing back game more often than not, saving a lot of the food they had brought with them. When Richard was in good spirits, he would reward them with a cigar, which would make them ecstatic, kissing his boots for a while. Richard was slightly amused by their overzealous loyalty. Helen told him that the Doug Tribe was the most loyal race in Beamon, and mastiffs were even more so. Once a mastiff chose to serve a master, they would remain loyal for life, regardless of how incompetent their master might be. Richard felt like he had stumbled onto a treasure. After spending two weeks in the wasteland, Richard finally understood. He understood why the scepter shamans had laughed so much when they heard about him and Helen going on an adventure in the Southern Cross Star Forest, and why the mastiffs had been so worried when they heard that they were going into the forest. He chose the path along the border of the wasteland to reach Southern Cross Star Forest, just as Uncle Simek had advised him, with the slightly yellowed and blurred pigskin map of the Bimon Kingdom that Simek had given him. He had heard that the closer you got to the center of the Donau Wasteland, the more formidable the bandits became. This wasn’t because he was afraid of bandits, but rather, he wanted to avoid trouble. He didn’t want to stir up trouble, but that didn’t mean trouble was going to leave him alone. Ever since they had left the patrol of the border troops, countless small and fat creatures clad in tattered armor and rusty weapons like rats had been springing up from the shadows day and night, trying to rob them. These strange rat-like creatures were not only numerous but also smelled terrible. They harassed the adventurers day and night, greatly annoying Richard. Richard privately came up with a very lewd idea. He suspected these goblins might well have evolved from rats in Beamon. This was a thought he couldn’t share with Helen, because these creatures were no other than goblins, the most despicable thieves and bandits in the wasteland, whom Helen often cursed. These goblins came in great numbers, they often launched a massive charge. But to Richard, their charge was a joke. The pandas and the mastiff warriors knocked them down with a few swings of their weapons, making them scram back into the shadows. The tenacity of these goblins truly impressed Richard. Even though they were defeated every time they attacked, they never gave up. They kept coming back with even more numbers, turning the wasteland into what seemed like an ocean of goblins. These goblins kept making an “Ok! Ok!” chant as they harassed the adventurers, which finally sparked a major conflict. This time Richard completely lost it. He unleashed four terrifying Chaidai Golden Men, routing the goblin horde. Finally, he hung their corpses on the short trees in the wasteland as a warning. Perhaps because the display of power by the adventurers was so terrifying, the goblins never dared to launch another suicidal assault. They just followed from a distance, sneaking around. Richard was completely fed up with the patience of these bandits. Being members of the Wisdom Race, these bandits had a plan. They sought the assistance of a powerful ally. The sky was clear that day, with a gentle breeze blowing. As they walked through the golden wasteland, under the distant Mount Tamerlarya shrouded in mist, pulling their cart were two strong boars. The place was like a lovely painting to the adventurers. The three little beauties were all chatting and laughing about their day in Witherspoon. They were complimenting Prince Richard on his handsome looks, when suddenly a three-blade-tall ogre wielding a massive wooden club came charging out of the tall grass. ʀᴇᴀᴅ ʟᴀᴛᴇsᴛ ᴄʜᴀᴘᴛᴇʀs ᴀᴛ noⅴelfire.net The increasing stench foretold the ogre’s imminent attack. Before the mastiff warriors were even aware, the gruesome ogre appeared before everyone. All three girls turned pale at the sudden appearance of such a hideous creature. A single swing of the ogre’s club broke the spines of the two boars pulling the cart. This particular ogre was a one-headed ogre, his chaotic eyes only radiating perverse desires as he turned his attention to the three dumbfounded beauties. Swinging his bloody club towards Richard and the witch doctor who were enjoying their cigars on the cart, he didn’t even glance their way. Ogres loved beautiful women most, an interest as infamous as their savage nature. The ogre, named Karu, was no exception. The ogre tribes of the Donau Wasteland were different from other bandit races as they were organized into family units. A tribe’s strength was proportional to the number of ogre families it had. Each family might have about ten to twenty female ogres, but there was always only one male ogre, the strongest of the lot.
