"I'm damn full.. let's go eat ice cream." Typical Lauren.. as usual.
"Let's go."
"No.. I have to go." I said but Joan grabbed me.
"Where? With Diana?" Joan asked right away and I turned to her weirdly.
"No.. Work."
"Oh come on, let's eat ice cream." Andrew said and I sighed nodding. We walked out from the hot pot place.
"You can ride with me." Joan said to Lauren and everyone already went off to their own car. Before Lauren could go, I grabbed her arm. She turned to me in horror.
"I'm going with Joan." She said.
"You're going there with me." I said and Joan sighed. I dragged her to my car.
"Let me go! I don't want to go with you!" She hissed as she pushed me away.
"We need to talk." I said.
"No.. there's nothing to talk about. You made it clear that day!" She kicked my leg but I kept holding her arm.
"Lauren!"
"You're an asshole, Dylan. I'm with Nial now and please get away from me!"
"Tell me what happened.. are you okay?" I held her shoulders and she groaned in pain. She pushed me away.
"I'm fine! You don't need to know anything because I'm just a friend to you so all you need to know is that.. I'm fine." She said looking at me coldly and I sighed. I let her go and she sighed too.
"You're avoiding me."
"What are you expecting? Me to stick to you like glue?" She asked.
"Okay you two.. stop fighting. You're making a show." Joan suddenly grabbed Lauren's hand.
"I'm going back to the office." I said to Joan and Lauren walked away.
"You're a little selfish, Dylan." Joan said and then she left along with Lauren. I got into my car and drove away. I decided to go back to the office instead of going with them.
I walked back into my office and threw myself on the sofa. I sighed and looked up to the ceiling. What am I thinking? What am I feeling? What am I doing?
Dylan Lemiere, you should be happy that she's avoiding you because isn't this what you want?
My phone rang and I took it out of my pocket. When I saw the phone screen, I sighed. I muted my phone and threw my phone to the table. I closed my eyes and sighed.
"I see you ignoring my call." I got up in a split second and saw Diana entering my office.
"How did you get here?"
"Met your dad downstairs and he let me in." She said as she sat in front of me.
"I'm not in the mood to talk, can we talk another time?"
"Well I didn't expect this. Do you want to talk about it?" She asked as she raised her eyebrows.
"No."
"Really? So.. a guy always has these moody ups and downs because of a girl so.. who is she?" She crossed her leg and I raised my eyebrows.
"No one."
"Oh come on.. I have a brother and I know this symptoms so well." She said.
"No.. I don't want to talk about it."
"Oh come on, dude. I'm a cool girl and it's okay if you like someone else."
"What?"
"Oh come on, you like someone else. You didn't contact me for 2 months and do you think I'm dumb?" She said and that got me confused.
"Huh?"
"Your head is sure somewhere around here huh?" She looked around.
"Diana.. I'm not in a mood to joke around."
"Tell me who? I will be so glad to help you."
"I thought you and I have th-"
"Dylan, please, I'm not a dumb girl. You might have been attracted to me at first but now you're not. You're interested in someone else. Dude.. I told you that I'm a cool girl. Don't underestimate me!" She hissed and then chuckled.
"So name the girl.." She raised her eyebrows. I sighed and leaned back to my sofa.
"Why should I tell you?" I asked.
"We're friends.. right? I mean.. Friends can have good dinner together right?" She asked as she put her hand in front of me. I chuckled and shook her hand.
"Fine.. if you don't want to tell her name, I'll tell mine. I kinda like.. Ian." She said as she crossed her arms in front of her chest and leaned back to the sofa.
"Wow.."
"Yours?"
"Hastington."
"Ohhhh." She gave me a really teasing tone.
"Lauren Hastington.. huh?" She smirked.
"Shut up, D."
"Don't call me that.. it sounds like you call me a dick." She said and it made me laugh.
"Yeah.. yeah I know."
"So we're cool now?" I asked and she gave me an okay sign.
"You help me, me help you.. how's that?" She offered.
"What's in your mind? I don't think I can trust you for that."
"Lauren is with Nial right? Dude, they're already this close to dating." She gestured and I rolled my eyes.
"I don't know what I'm feeling or what I really want?"
"Thank God.. I don't like you.. I hate boys who act like you."
"Oh really? You said that I'm hot." I hissed.
"You're hot but you don't have this and this." She gestured at her heart and brain. I scoffed disbelief and she smirked.
"I'm still young.. I want to have fun. Let her be with Nial first." I hissed as I got up.
"Well that's a really good idea because the more you let her be with Nial, she will fall for him more and more and more."
"Nah.."
"Yeah.. wait till I give the two of them drugs and let them sleep together." She said and I glared at her.
"See.. you know I'm kidding but you're still glaring at me."
"I want to be alone, Osborn. Go away!"
"Okay then.. if you need me, I'm one call away. I'm only one call away.. I'll be there to save the day.. superman got nothing on me.. I'm only one call away.. Call me baby if you nee-"
"Diana!"
"Okay.. fine. Bye." She walked to the door and left. I sighed and drank my coffee in one shot.
"Damn feelings!"
