Lauren Hastington
I opened my eyes slowly and looked around. I still fell a little bit weird and I sighed.
"Oh honey.. you're awake." My mom held my hand and I nodded weakly. I got up slowly and my dad put the bed into a straight up position.
"Thanks dad." I said and he nodded patting my head.
"You know.. you all don't need to come here." I said looking at all my family.
"I almost have a heart attack, Chris needs to learn how to tell someone if there's something wrong." My dad said and I turned to Christian.
"I panicked okay.."
"It's normal, Lauren. We all went panicking." Marco said and I pouted.
"Here." My mom gave me a glass of warm water with a straw so it will be easy for me to drink.
"Thanks mom." I smiled and drank the water.
"Can you please buy me.. a warm chicken soup?" I asked Christian and he looked at me with annoyance all over his face.
"Sorry pumpkin but you have to eat this." My dad said as he put a tray of hospital food in front of me. I looked at it clearly and hated it.
"Dad.. please." I turned to him and he shook his head. I pouted at him but he chuckled. He kissed the top of my head, gesturing to me to eat it.
"Mom." I turned to my mom.
"Sorry, Lauren. You have to eat this.." She said and I sighed.
"Lauren.. I bro-" Autumn froze to see all of my family. I laughed at her.
"Hey.. guys." Autumn walked to me and she put the bag of bread in front of me. My eyes sparkles seeing it because she's my savior today.
"I love you A."
"Me too." She said but when I was going to dig in.. Christian took it away.
"Chris!"
"She can't eat that.. she has to eat that. Thanks A, I'll eat it." Christian ruffled Autumn's hair and took it away. I threw my pillow to Christian completely pissed.
"Lauren!" Christian hissed.
"Don't fight!" My mom warned looking at the both of us.
"Sorry." Autumn said and I nodded.
"It's fine." I said and Autumn sat down beside Christian taking the bread. She ate it and I sighed.
"Do you want me to feed you?" Marco asked and I shook my head.
"Want me?" My dad asked and I shook my head.
"I don't want it." I said looking at it. I put it to the table beside me and at the same time.. the doctor came in to check on me. He told me that my condition is getting better and better. I can go home tomorrow morning. My dad thanked the doctor and then he and my mom decided to eat breakfast with Christian tagging alone.
"I'm sorry that I have to go too.. I have a shoot tonight back in New York." Autumn said and I nodded. She hugged me.
"Here." She said as she gave me a piece of banana bread. I thanked her and she left. I turned to Marco and he's busy with phone.
Suddenly the door opened revealing Dylan and I found myself smiling.
"Dylan." Marco looked up.
"Hey.. how are you feeling?" Dylan walked to me and I'm just so happy to see him here.
"Better.. I guess." I said and he raised up his plastic bag and I clapped my hands.
"I asked Christian to buy this earlier but everyone says no." I said and he gave the chicken soup to me.
"You love eating it when you're sick.. I know that." He said as he took a chair and sat beside me.
"Thanks.. you're my savior today beside Autumn."
"Hey! You can't eat that!" Marco said and I threw my other pillow to him to shut up. He hissed and then he walked out.
"Eat it while it's still warm." Dylan said and I nodded. I opened it and Dylan helped me to arrange the table. I turned to him and his eyebags were just..
"Did you.. you know.. with.. her last night?" I asked because I wanted to know why he slept late last night."
"No." He said as he took a random bread from the plastic bag that Autumn brought earlier.
"So.. did you drink?"
"No.. I watched a lot of movies last night."
"Oh okay." I said and then I sipped the chicken soup.
"Thanks a lot for this.. I really hate seeing the food from here." I said as I ate the chicken.
"Welcome.. So what did the doctor say about your condition?" He asked.
"Well.. better but I do still feel weird but I will be okay." I said.
"That's.. relieving." He took a deep breath and I chuckled.
"Food poisoning only."
"Why didn't you call me or.. you know tell me that you're sick?"
"I have Nial, Matt and Aiden." I chuckled and looked at him.
"Right.. Nial." I raised my eyebrows.
"What's with that tone? Jealous?"
"Why should I be jealous? You're weird." Dylan rolled his eyes and I shrugged.
"This is really good." I said.
"I think.. I'm kinda attracted to Diana." I stopped eating but I remembered what I said to myself last night. I can't be sad all the time.. sometimes you need to let go. Besides Dylan and I.. are bestfriends.
"That's good, go for her then." I answered.
"She's the type of woman that I.. want."
"That's great.. go for her then." I said as I looked straight into his eyes. He sighed and nodded.
"Not only you but I think I'm going to start to try with Nial." I said.
"What?"
"He's going to take me on a date.. on Sunday." I said and forced a smile to appear on my face.
"Oh."
"Yeah.. but that's great right? I mean.. you will go out with Diana and I will go with Nial. That's really good news for both of us.. oh by the way.. I bet she likes you too because you have her lipstick.. on your lips yesterday." I said smiling.
"Yeah.. I guess you're right."
