BLOOD MUTANT SYSTEM. Chapter 320

That was the strategy the Granians used as they slaughtered every Blood Species they encountered. Once again, the attacking species gained the upper hand and wiped out the overwhelming horde of screeching Blood Species. Though the screechers were more powerful than the first wave of Blood Species, their overreliance on the Blood Drain skill led to their downfall, as most refused to adapt. Instead of using their strength, claws, and sharp teeth, they expended vast amounts of energy screeching at the Granians, who were now slightly invulnerable to their attacks. The screechers were pushed back, most choosing to flee rather than fight. However, their enemies came with a desire and a will to capture and harness their power for their own selfish gain. In a few more hours, more than eighty percent of the Blood Species present were either captured or killed. Although the Granians already had more than what they needed, they later decided to wipe out the Blood Species race entirely, ensuring that no other species in Akrina would get their hands on this power. They wanted it all to themselves and made sure that no one else would ever possess any of it. "The goal...is complete..." General Grim reported while the rest of the Granians transported the captured Blood Species to their ships. An army that was once twenty thousand strong had been reduced to eleven thousand; a substantial loss that was not as severe as what they had inflicted. "...the mindless creatures, dubbed Blood Species, have been...wiped out. We have spent a considerable amount of time finding every last one. "I, General Grim, encountered what seemed to be the strongest of them. It didn’t screech or mindlessly attack like the others. This one exhibited some knowledge in the way it fought, but I...have killed it. We have begun experiments and managed to extract strips of their DNA. The mission is complete." From the first day of their attack to the present, they managed to wipe out every last one of the Blood Species, leaving nothing behind—not even bodies. All the species that were killed were either burned or buried beneath the planet’s soil to rot and decompose. To further ensure that no one else would land on the Blood Species’ planet, the Granians declared it their own since it was within their part of the galaxy and never disclosed its location to any Granian not affiliated with the genocide. To show that the Granians weren’t going to let anyone find out about their secret explorations, they went ahead and permanently blinded and stripped off the voices of the soldiers who were involved in the raid—a cruel and merciless action instated by General Grim himself. Once the soldiers were dealt with, the Blood Species’ bodies were transported to Planet Grania, where a select group of scientists worked day and night, none allowed to leave their confinements for fear that they might disclose this information to the wrong ears. Though these procedures were upheld religiously, they were futile, as word soon spread to the Ethisians who, at that time, did not deem it useful or important to their cause. [An extensive amount of time passed] Despite the Granians’ attempts to harness the Blood Species’ power for themselves, they never came close to properly executing it in the ways they desired. So far, DNA was properly extracted and stored, with a few vials given to "willing" test subjects who either became mindless Blood substrates or died horrifically. In desperation, the Granians abducted species from all over Akrina and attempted to turn them into Blood Mutant soldiers since the DNA wasn’t compatible with their own. Nonetheless, all their attempts were futile and fell short of their desires. The closest they came was a small creature that survived for a few days before its own body drained and consumed its blood repeatedly until it died. For months, the Granians snuck onto planets, mass-produced Blood Species DNA, and experimented on almost every type of species in Akrina. Sadly, all their experiments were futile, resulting in nothing but the deaths of innocent victims who were in no way affiliated with them. That was until... "While seeking suitable lifeforms that could handle the Blood Mutant DNA without dying or losing consciousness, the Granians stumbled upon a signal from the galaxy that houses the human planet called Earth. I later learned from our Humans that, during their time on Earth, their people sent countless signals throughout space in search of lifeforms. Ultimately, one of those signals was received by the Granians." Elenor and Commander, swamped by the realization of how far the Granians were willing to go to win, marveled in both amazement and disbelief. They were amazed at how much the Granians had accomplished and could hardly believe how far they had gone to achieve these accomplishments. "It is known throughout Akrina that no one is to venture into the other galaxies with less intelligent lifeforms and species," Enor continued, stressing an important detail concerning how far the Granians went to obtain the Blood Mutants. "The Granians violated that law and sent a fleet to Earth, where they discreetly abducted about one thousand or more humans. The humans had asked for contact with other intelligent lifeforms, and that was exactly what they received. "I do not know how, but our Humans told us that they never disclosed that information to the rest of their kind due to a threat made by the Granians. If the entire planet Earth knew about the Granians, Earth would be destroyed, so they remained silent. "Now, here is something interesting that I, the Granians, and almost everyone in Akrina learned. The Humans were compatible with the Blood Mutant DNA. At first, the Humans became mindless brutes when the vials were tested on them, but here’s the interesting part. Unlike the other species in Akrina, the Humans became stronger, faster, and more durable. Their bodies did not crumble under the Blood Mutant DNA. But there was still a problem..." "They couldn’t be controlled." Content orıginally comes from 𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗹•𝕗𝕚𝕣𝕖•𝗇𝗲𝘁 "Precisely. Even though they showed promising results, the Humans-turned-Blood Mutants couldn’t be controlled—that is, until the vials were tested on two more humans. These two were one hundred percent compatible with the Blood Mutant DNA and even had the ability to transition between their human and Blood Species forms. They became the first Humans-turned-Blood Mutants who could control the Blood Species’ form, making them easier to control." "If I may, High Ruler," the Commander asked, raising a compelling question that highlighted a flaw in the Granians’ reasoning, "if they managed to find two, why didn’t they spend more time on Earth until they found more who were compatible and easier to control?" "At that time," Enor continued, "we were winning the war and had entered the final stage of victory, so the Granians returned with their two compatible Humans and one thousand mindless brutes who turned the tide of the war in their favor. That was until we got hold of the Humans and turned them over to our side."
