The mercenary clones, once a large army double that of the Granians, lost many numbers at the hands of the Granians, Grim, Gravax, and the Scarlet Army.
Their Mechs were decommissioned permanently, their numbers dropped drastically and continued to fall with the rapid advancement of the Scarlet Army. Soon, their numbers dwindled enough for the Granians within the fortress to retaliate with full force without holding back.
Despite this, the order wasn’t given by Lord Grim for the Granians within the fortress to join the battle. The Granian found himself surrounded by ten of the twenty-one Ethisians. The Ethisians stood between him and the gates, denying him the opportunity to relay the message.
The Ethisians didn’t fight, nor did they get too close to the Granian. All they did was distract and hinder him from reaching the gates so their forces could try to separate the Humans before they too made it to the gates.
While ten Ethisians kept Grim company, five distracted Gravax by antagonizing and running away, drawing his attention away from the battle. The Granian didn’t notice it, but he was now involved in a wild and violent game of tag where the Ethisians slammed his body on the ground before running away as fast as they could until another repeated the cycle.
This technique worked effectively for the Ethisians, leaving another group of five and the Upper Legendary to pursue the Humans and see what they were capable of. These five were well aware of the strength difference the Humans possessed and understood how dangerous it was to approach too close.
Because of this, they wore modern suits of armor with recording devices that sent video footage to their ship which, if not manually piloted, would escape the planet and deliver the footage to the closest Ethisian colonies for inspection and evaluation. That way, it wouldn’t matter if the Ethisians made it back alive or not. They understood the gravity of their mission and were willing to lay down their lives for their people as long as it would guarantee their victory.
"The Blood Army will be heading in our direction soon. What shall we do about them?" the question was posed to the highest-ranked Ethisian, who thought for a moment. Distracting the Blood Warriors would do no good, so they needed to find a way of separating the army from the Humans.
"Improvise," the Ethisian answered, having no reasonable way of breaking the Blood Army’s lines. "There isn’t much time to think of a rational plan. Do whatever feels natural to you."
With the "plan" given, the five Ethisians and the Upper Legendary separated momentarily. The other five looked for weak links in the Blood Army’s lines that would be easy to penetrate. Meanwhile, the highest-ranked had its eyes set on the one who was once known as Enoris. She, of all the Blood Warriors, stood out to him, and her power, based on his knowledge and assumptions, was almost equal to or slightly above his.
For that reason, the Ethisian pushed through the battlefield, making its way past the countless bodies until it stood before Enoris.
Eye contact was made, followed by two lesser Blood Clones attacking the Ethisian. With ease, the Upper Legendary Ethisian decimated them both before lunging their bodies back at Enoris’ feet. The Ethisian grunted and grinned at Enoris as it began to strip before her, removing the fancy armor it had on in an attempt to gain her attention.

"Blood Ethisian," the Ethisian called out with a loud voice, nearly shattering the ears of the mercenary clones fighting next to him. With pride, it stood before Enoris, who was waiting for it to give her a reason to kill it on the spot. "Fight me. Show me your strength."
"That is the purpose of my being," Enoris answered and pointed her sword at the Ethisian. The creature didn’t expect her to accept so easily, so it crafted a new excuse, one it hoped would throw her off course.
"Forget it," it sighed disappointedly, attempting to look sad and miserable. "You seem too easy for me to handle. I refuse to fight the weak."
"You speak unwisely for an Ethisian," Enoris replied, but instead of playing along, she charged at full force, her body nearly trampling him.
The two titans wrestled; Enoris pushed her sword down on its neck as it used the vambraces on its arms to push back her sword. The Ethisian smiled and used its powerful legs to push Enoris back.
It had a slight height advantage, which it made sure to exploit. The Ethisian puffed its chest, widened its eyes and grin, and focused its energy on overpowering Enoris. Steadily, it pushed the Blood Warrior back until she had no choice but to thrust her sword away before her enemy lay on top of her.
The Ethisian cackled as it folded its arms into fists, ready to engage in hand-to-hand combat.
"Fight me, unarmed," it said, but Enoris paid no attention. Her commands were simple: kill as many of her Master’s enemies as possible without fail. "I dare you, Blood Ethisian."

’So that is its commander’s name then.’ "Tell me, Blood Warrior," the Ethisian grinned while circling her with great confidence and arrogance, "who is this Blood Commander? Point me to him, and I’ll lay down my life to join his ca—"
Enoris struck her sword so fast that it nearly sliced off the Ethisian’s blabbering mouth. Had it not been for its agility and her armor partially slowing down her movements, she would have succeeded and moved on to the next opponent.
"That was almost close," it taunted, looking for a way to weaken the Blood Warrior’s attacks by either engaging in conversation, angering her, or distracting her with taunting and meaningless talk. "You nearly took my face off. Your hands are perfect for that sword."
"Shut your mouth and die honorably," she muttered calmly, too calmly for her opponent’s liking. "I will kill you, and my Commander will add your essence to our ranks... under my leadership."
"Why not the other way around," it taunted again and noticed a slight twinge in the Blood Warrior’s scarlet eyes. "We could use a skilled weapon user like you."
"I prefer to remain on the winning side."
