As the hours went by, so did the number of Ethisians living in their former colony after the raid conducted by the Granians. Hundreds of Ethisian soldiers, miners, and mineral transporters were killed with no second thought given.
None of the Granian soldiers, whether recruit or veteran, had an ounce of mercy to exercise when it came to the way they killed said Ethisians. Some went straight for the kill, quickly putting their victims out of their misery. Others, under the inspiration of the Blood Mutants, slit multiple wounds on the bodies of their victims and watched all the blood spill out. Others even gladly did so with eerie smiles and shrieks in imitation of the Blood Mutants.
Once they were all killed, Colonial spaceships moving in from Planet Grania landed shortly after with troops and units setting up camp while the surviving workers were forced back into the mines. Instead of simply keeping the planet for mining, it was decided for it to become an attack planet housing first-team response units in case of outside attacks on other Granian colonies.
Progress moved smoothly with the Granians swiftly getting back on track. Their last defeat was too brutal for any to forget, so they all pitched in with their efforts, ready to make sure that such an occurrence never happened again.
These assignments, having taken about a week to set up, meant that Ace and the higher-ups, Gravax and Grim, were grounded until further notice. Since Ace wasn’t going to be with Glissk for a while, he opted to strengthen his body by venturing far into the Planet’s wilderness, looking for anything he could battle.
’There’s barely any plant life here,’ the Blood Bishop grunted a sigh of disappointment, ’nothing but black sand everywhere. Does this place even get water?’
"Human," Gravax stood next to Ace, having followed him for a while undetected. Still fascinated by his display of Blood Magic, the Granian took a distinct interest in the young man’s abilities. "What brings you out here all alone by yourself?"
Ace didn’t feel like speaking to the Granian, or any Granian for that matter. His mind, focused on other matters, simply couldn’t compensate for whatever this Granian wanted. Yet again, he didn’t have anything else to do in the meantime and maybe the Granian did have something planned in mind.
"Keeping my body in shape," he replied. "What about you? Aren’t you scared like the others that I can drain all the blood from your body and just claim this planet’s wildlife killed you?"
Gravax laughed briefly, slightly amused by the Human’s "sense" of humor.
"The others are scared of you because they do not understand what they cannot eventually control," he replied, sparking a desire within Ace to know more. "By now, you already understand that the Ethisians cannot control their humans anymore, right?"
"The others are scared because they know sooner or later, the time will come where you’ll become too strong for them to control although by the looks of it...." he stared Ace up and down, admiring the strength and power beaming off this Human even though he didn’t have that significant of a body to back it up. "...I would say that that time is coming much sooner than they’ve prepared for."
"Prepared for?’ Intrigued, Ace faced the Granian with a bombardment of questions concerning the matter. "What are they preparing for? To continue controlling us as if they’re not doing that already?"
"Your calm character amuses me, Human, even though the topic at hand is quite serious,"
Gravax, motioning for Ace to sit, sat on the black and uneven surface before engaging in more conversation with him.
"...if the others know that I am telling you this, I could be executed immediately for treason. Nonetheless, you Humans possess a similarity to us in terms of intellectual importance. I already mentioned it, most of my people, especially the green claws, are scared that you could kill them once you become stronger than they are. I see it in the way Grim, Lord Grania, Huntress, and the others behave towards you. Their lousy attempts at gaining your trust so you’ll abide by them is as embracing as it is hopeless."

"I know Bloodlust when I see it," the Granian replied, "your initial response to my question already let me know that you plan on wiping out our race later on..."
"You have no reason to deny or be afraid of me revealing this," Gravax calmly replied but his face was heavy. Heavy with sorrow and guilt, the Granian engaged in conversation some more with the Human saying, "Our race does deserve extinction but not at the hand of the Ethisians. I guarantee that after this war, Grim and Grania will have already devised ways of killing you and your other kind that is if you won’t kill them first.
"When that time comes," he stood and prepared to leave with the same heaviness on his face, "make it quick. I assure you, the Granians will go back to Earth in hopes of making more Blood Mutant soldiers once they have no use for you and when they do, every planet in our galaxy and your galaxy will inevitably be conquered.
"Many will consider this as treason and for that, I agree, but I’ve lived too long and fought too many wars for my liking. It gets exhausting and eventually boring. If anyone can stop us, I believe it’ll be you four, mainly you."
Hearing such words coming from a tribal leader of the proud warrior race stunned Ace beyond levels he had ever expected. It was true that he planned on wiping out the Granians but only the Green Claws since they’re the ones that abducted him. Even after learning of the existence of other Granian tribes, he remained determined to wipe out the Green Claws. But now hearing Gravax’s words brought a deeper perspective and a greater task ahead. Growing strong enough to wipe out a Warrior Race can not comprehensively be an easy task.
"If I may ask," Ace spoke before the Granian walked away, "why did you feel the need to tell me such? Don’t you have any shred of loyalty to your people?"
"If I could somehow show you the things we Granians have done, you too would join the ranks of the Ethisians. Same way the other Humans did."
