Eyes piercing straight ahead, the Blood Bishop witnessed the rest of the Dread Walkers marching to the walls in desperate attempts to bring them down. Around them were piles and piles of flesh and blood decorating the floors, a testimony of the once hopeless fighters who dared to fight the unknown.
As Ace looked on, he looked down at his hands which flowed with Blood Energy, the same that was keeping his Dread Walkers alive. As long as he kept his energy active, he would have the Dread Walkers at his disposal at all times. However....

Not only were the Dread Walkers solely reliant on Blood Energy, they were also reliant on the Life essence coming from the one who summoned them. Without it, they and the person would certainly die.
He didn’t want to, but Ace knew he needed to end them for the sake of his own life and the lives of the Granians approaching him. After all, the Dread Walkers’ services were no longer required meaning they were of no more use to Ace for now.
"I release you from existence." Canceling his Blood Energy, the Dread Walkers fell one by one, the glow on their bodies disappearing with the Life essence that once kept them alive. Now, all that was left were even more piles of flesh and blood, adding more to the already existing mess.
"You never cease to surprise me, Human," Lord Grim and Gravax approached the Blood Bishop with praises coming from their lips. They truly were amazed by what Ace had done. One man alone had taken down five hundred and this was just a test run. Imagine how many he would have killed if only he had mastered the skill.
"I commend you for your strength," Gravax nodded in respect. "Our fellow people, the Green Claws, made good of their intuition by bringing you to us. We’re expectant of what more you and the others will contribute to this War."
Hearing those words made Ace’s throat sink to his stomach. It was already painfully obvious that the Humans loathed the Granians with a passion simply because they were abducted from their planet against their consent and now, here they were fighting a War in which they contributed no part whatsoever.
The utter insanity and nerve for Gravax to say such angered Ace. Nonetheless, the Blood Bishop acted as though he did not care and was happy to comply. He wished not to admit it to them but he was thankful to the Granians in a way. Because of them, he now had the power to grant life to the dead, control blood, and kill hundreds of thousands with a slight bit of ease. If he were back on Earth, he was more than certain that he’d be one of the strongest.
"Our soldiers will take it from here," Grim lamented, "once they do, we will take everything the Ethisians have built on this colony and scrap it for whatever we need. Those that survive will become either our prisoners or your..."
"Test subjects," Gravax grinned. "I notice you spent the week with the magic female. Perhaps she’s the one who taught you about Aura Manipulation, yes?"
"I see then," Gravax walked off while ending with, "Learn as much as you need. She knows a thing or two about magic and I guarantee that you shall grow stronger, Human."
"Now go get yourself some rest," Grim scoffed with visible disgust etched on his face, "your nose is bleeding. I’d say that that move you did is eating you up from the inside. Any longer and you could have died."
The way the Granian spoke was too unsettling for Ace’s comfort but at the same time true. In this fight alone, about one hundred and fifty points of his health were taken from him and his body was suffering for it as well. Even if he had about two hundred points left, his body wouldn’t have handled the strain and would have fallen into severe complications.
’Glissk was right after all,’ Ace muttered as he reminisced Glissk’s words.
"Though Blood Magic is as powerful as it sounds, it takes an immense toll on your body. If your body cannot handle the strain, you will die. If you use too much of it at once than you can handle, you die. If you’re negligent of signs from your body, you will die. It is a malevolent force to be reckoned with but it also requires one to be as malevolent as it is."
’And here I thought only health points would be affected.’ Ace scoffed. While the Granians broke through the Walls and Gates of the Ethisians and slaughtered them, Ace drew all of the spilled blood and consumed some of it while storing the rest for future us.
"Blood Essence, manifest."

Now that his job was done, Ace had no reason to be outside. Sure, he could have joined the others in War but his body needed the rest. The toll of Blood Revenant was starting to intensify to the point where his head grew dizzy.
As he stomped back into the ship, the Blood Bishop wore a smirk with recurring thoughts dancing in his mind. He was pleased with what he had done, anxious about what he couldn’t do yet, and looking forward to what his skills would allow him to perform.
Until then, he was going to have to practice a lot, learn a lot, and prepare a lot all while fighting and winning Wars for the Granians. This truly was a shift in the tide for him.
