A few hours passed and the Granians, with their Human biological weapons, arrived on the trade planet they were supposed to recapture from the Ethisians. The Planet was situated in between a large gas planet and a small dwarf planet, leaving it in a position of limited sunlight from its small red sun. For that matter, the area was more icy than warm with occasional moist winds bringing the only warmth they’d feel in a while.
This was an advantage for the Humans since their bodies did not depend on their environments for heat, unlike the Granians and Ethisians who were cold-blooded to some extent.
Upon arrival, the fleets grouped themselves in teams of eighty units, each given canisters containing fluids designed to keep their internal organs at normal temperatures. Since the planet had cold air, it made it dangerous for any mere person to breathe in for in doing so, they stood at risk of having their insides freeze gradually.

Ace and Cherry’s symbiotes made the necessary adjustments that suited them for the Planet’s harsh environment. Having no need for the canisters, they were free to move as they pleased, provided they didn’t exert their bodies and lose too much of their internal heat.
"So cold and barren."
Similar to the other planets, the one they were currently on was barren, void of any signs of civilization around. For a trading planet, there were no marketplaces or areas of business, making the Humans wonder why they named it that in the first place.
Aside from the barrenness, the planet was decorated with large mountain ranges and small hills, leaving no room for plains. In fact, the area they all landed on was a small hill with plateau-like features. With white-blue skies, cold silver grounds, and high mountain ranges, it truly was fit for creatures of the cold, something neither the Granians nor the Ethisians were suited for.
"The four of us are moving on our own." Chris approached the Humans, disguised as a human himself. Wearing a thick fur coat with gloves on his hands and thick boots on his feet, he readjusted himself to be more compatible with the harsh environments than any other Granian. Still, he wasn’t one hundred percent human so he had to carry a canister at all times to avoid death. "The Ethisians have taken specific trade centers and turned them into their command posts. We take out one at a time until we’re done with this planet."
"What if they send more troops?" Skyler asked the most sensible question, failing to see the logic behind this plan.
"That’s what these Granians are here for," the ’human impersonator’ replied. "Their jobs are to defend the area while we recover the command posts."
"Four Humans? Against the Ethisians?" Cherry asked mockingly. "Do you people really doubt the Ethisian’s strength?"
"No," Chris smiled while walking ahead of the Humans. "We’re confident in the strength of you three. Having two vicious Blood Mutants and a shifting human does a lot in our favor. Besides, if it weren’t for your increase in strength, we wouldn’t be here in the first place. You could say that we, as the Granians, trust you’re strong enough to do this."
"Enough with the cheap compliments," Ace cringed and forcefully grabbed the device from Chris’ hand. "This thing shows where the command posts are, right?"
"Then let’s hurry up and go!!" He commanded and immediately, Cherry and Skyler ran at full speed with him, leaving Chris behind. Since he lacked the speed to keep up, and didn’t want to transform into his eagle form for the purpose of reserving his strength, he opted to follow their tracks, already knowing where the others were heading.
"It’s going to take a whole lot of work to make these damned humans listen to us..." Chris grumbled, annoyed that the Humans didn’t respect his authority whatsoever. "I bet Lily’s having an easier experience than I am." Follow current novᴇls on 𝓷𝓸𝓿𝓮𝓵~𝕗𝕚𝕣𝕖~𝙣𝙚𝙩
Contrary to Chris’ assumptions, the other ’human impersonator’ was also having difficulties of her own. Her battalion made it to its destination, a blue planet with more water than land on the surface, forcing its inhabitants to build and settle above and below.
With high humidity levels and not enough sunlight due to the countless moons and dwarf planets surrounding it, it created enough room for cold temperatures to rise though thankfully, they were cold enough to freeze the waters.
Upon landing, the Granians were immediately attacked by the Ethisians forces who were great in numbers, despite contrary belief that this planet had the weaker numbers. Immediately, the Blood Knights, Anya, and Jim, made quick work of their abilities and killed as many as they could while their fellow soldiers tried their level best to defend themselves and the ships.
The battle waged for hours, giving neither sides the opportunity to rest. With the war came vast amounts of destruction so grand that it left the areas they fought inhabitable, costing the inhabitants of the Planet their livelihoods and homes. Instead of helping, the Granians were causing much more damage than the Ethisians did.
"Damn it, I should have gone with the others. Chris would have handled this situation much better." Lily condemned herself, feeling regret for choosing to work with Jim and Anya who despised her. Since she didn’t take any offense to that but rather accepted it, she left all the leading to the older Granians who were originally told what to do. All that Lily had to do was keep an eye on the Blood Knights and command them on what they were to do.
"The first command post has been recaptured," the declaration was made but it came at a cost. Yes, they did capture the command post, but there was barely anything left to call a command post. The buildings and their support systems were flooded, others sinking at this point.
Fires burned the pillars which kept the bridges afloat, making it difficult to move from one point to the other. In the end, they had captured one command post of the several numbers they had to do and caused more harm than good.
"This isn’t looking good for us!!" Lily sighed again, following Jim and Anya who were already advancing to the next command post. Defeated, and knowing she wasn’t going to get any word through to them, the ’human impersonator’ blindly followed them.
It couldn’t get any worse, right?
