While placing the mask on his face, Ace looked ahead and witnessed an army of distinct-looking creatures approaching them. They had small humanoid shapes, signifying possibilities of intelligence. Sadly for them, they were no more than four feet tall with short stubby appendages, stubby faces, and embarrassingly rough skin with warts all over. Covered in loose pieces of scrap acting as armor, the creatures fearlessly approached the three ships, each looking to kill the Granians. However, all of this changed once they saw a fleshy pink being transform into a frightful beast.
"Transforming already, are we, Cherry?" Anya grinned while she opted to use her Blood Mutant claws. Cherry grunted and growled, standing at eight feet with her claws itching to draw blood from the incoming creatures.
"They look so tiny...and weak," she laughed while waiting for Lord Grania’s permission to attack.
"Don’t be fooled," One Horn stood next to the Mutants with a blocker in his hands ready to be activated in case the Mutants tried to be ’brave’. "They may be small, but those sturdy creatures are quite fast and tough to hit. Their skins are also tough, so it will take some time to penetrate them. I trust you can handle them just fine, right?"
"We can!!" Jim answered and transformed as well. For him, this ’mission’ was just another opportunity for him to grow stronger.
At the moment, Jim was the weakest of the four Mutants, a fact that was painfully imprinted into his mind. Ace’s quick growth, Cherry’s steady growth, and Anya’s increased vicious behavior with increased blood control strength all together forced him to become as good, if not better, than them.
’More than ten percent. That’s going to be over one thousand deaths.’ Ace mumbled quietly, contemplating on whether he’d stay in his human form or transform. ’I don’t know much about their strengths or weaknesses, so I should transform.’

Bones shattered, flesh tore, and blood spilled before slowly reattaching together. This painful transformation was the small price Ace had to pay for his new Blood Bishop Rank. However, as painful as it looked, the results were more fulfilling and terrifying.
Ace’s new Blood Bishop form stood at nine feet. His underbelly, a light pink-red color, showed off his front muscles. The rest of his body was as red as his own blood with veins protruding on his forearms.
His claws were slightly shorter but sharper than before, and surprisingly, his face was not monstrous in any way. The long teeth were no longer present, and the area where his mouth would be was clear as if it were wiped off of his face.

"You may attack now!!" Lord Grania gave the order and watched as the Mutants, with Skyler, ran at full speed toward the inhabitants of the planet. The first to get to them was Cherry, who immediately sprayed her blood at the creatures. In an instant, the blood drops caught on fire and consumed those unfortunate enough to be sprayed on.
Following with an attack of their own was Jim who quickly lashed out blood spikes at the beasts. Those unfortunate enough to get impaled were immediately drained of everything they had. Following Jim was Skyler, the only Human who refused to be turned. Using her newly acquired form, the Gifted Human slammed bodies into pieces, using the power of her massive hands and Eneraflux.
Anya followed afterward and, together with Skyler, killed and drained as much blood as she could while her female comrade ripped the creatures apart using her monstrous jaws. While all of this happened, the Granians sent to provide ’back-up’ to the Humans remained still, neither trying to get any closer to the Mutants.
One thing in particular for them was the notable difference in strength between Ace and the others. Even though he had yet to exhibit what he could do, they felt uneasy to the point where they became too afraid to follow them.
[Blood Drain Skill: Activated.]
Ace slowly approached the creatures with his hands held out, his white, now triangular-shaped eyes glaring spitefully at them. Within the right range, he started to gather great amounts of blood from those who were killed and the others who were still alive. Eventually, a small pool of blood gathered around the Mutant and overshadowed him in a thick blood wave. Anya, Cherry, Jim, and Skyler stood back and watched as the wave Ace gathered separated into blood spikes.
The spikes hovered over him, his eyes unwaveringly glaring at the creatures with anger and bloodlust. His unjustified anger, coupled with his need to grow stronger, finally tipped over and caused him to rain down the blood spikes on the creatures, killing a great multitude in one go.

The more blood spikes fell, the more creatures were killed, and the more were killed, the more blood for Ace to collect. The survivors weren’t stupid, and neither were they willing to continue. Without wasting time, they all retreated into their settlements, seeking refuge from the terrifying Blood Mutant. However, Ace wasn’t done with them yet.
Giving way to the others to follow, they all pursued the creatures at great speed while using some of the blood Ace gathered. The number of dead, drained bodies rose quickly with Ace delivering most of the kills. He’d alternate from using blood weapons to his skills such as Blood Fire, Explosive Blood technique, and Blood Control.
As that occurred, the Granians watched in pure horror at how much their Human weapons had grown in terms of strength. As much as they didn’t want to admit it, they all acknowledged that the Mutants were growing too powerful too quickly, almost to the point where it would become difficult to control them any longer.
Despite all of this, one Granian remained unwavering in this knowledge. While the others feared, he chose to smile and feel a sense of pride and false hope. The Humans, especially Ace, were not only a testimony to his ’training methods’ but also a clear sense of pride for the Granians. Pride, because the Granians were going to be feared once again.
’This is very good.’ Lord Grania bellowed under his breath, causing the ground under him to vibrate.
