It was happening all over again.
It was exactly how it went years ago. He had waited for her. A minute late turned to thirty minutes late. Then, an hour then two before the officiating priest got tired of waiting.
Charles didn’t know what to feel first. Anger? Hatred? Disappointment? Sadness?
Isabella, like that day was already thirty minutes late and the judge couldn’t bear to be so delayed. Charles wondered, if she had made that promise out of pity when in fact she must have had some plan tucked away in her head.
As he walked out of the elevator, he felt his whole body shake. But it was not over yet. Someone within him knew she would show up. But if she doesn’t… he knew damn well he won’t forgive her ever.
Just through the glass doors of the building which housed a court room among other things, he caught a glimpse of a woman crossing from the other side. With an extended gaze, he realized he mistook her for Isabella. The black hair and face glow wasn’t really like that of his woman.
Something sank within him as he realized again that time was running fast without a pause. Resisting the urge to yank off the top buttons of shirt he had purposely bought for the occasion, he walked out of the doors.
Just as he looked to his left to see if she was in sight, he heard panting behind him.
“Charles…” His heart skipped. It was her voice no doubt. But as he turned… he was bewildered by the transformed woman in front of him. The woman crossing earlier was his beloved Isabella.
“I am so sorry I am late.” She stood straight and he did not miss the way the simple white gown she had on hugged her rightly, not missing any place she had her curves. Her legs appeared longer. Perhaps because she was finally exposing them and was adorning them with black heel sandals that fitted just right.
“Shall we go in?” He heard nothing. He just watched her talk. And he wanted to kiss those lips that danced with a smile on them. And those eyes that held the dazzle she used to have, he wanted to stare at them all day while sweeping away the bangs she just had done.
“Charles…” She pulled at his arm and he did not miss the lavender scent she gave off. His eyes closed for a moment and he smiled.
She came after all. Isabella will finally be his.
Without thinking twice, he pulled her into a hug.
“Charles?”
“You came.”
“Of course,” she replied, her voice smiling. “I promised.”
That was all he needed to hear and he was soon walking her to the court room, his entire being yearning for her.

“… by the power vested in me by the law, I pronounce you, man and wife.” Isabella could not control the smile on her lips as the judge said those words.
She was finally with the man she loved and no one was stopping her.
“Well,” the fairly old man wore a knowing grin as his eyes darted between them. “You know what to do.”
Charles did not let Isabella get herself ready, he pulled at her arm gently and smashed his lips on hers hungrily. In response, her hands went around his neck and she ran her hands through his hair.
And with the fiery kiss they shared, she thanked him for being the man for her. And she apologized for hurting him.
And he replied her without haste.
A hearty laughter made them get distracted. The old man in front of them turned to the clerk with him and said, “This is why I love weddings.”
“We should go meet my father,” Charles said as he held her hand. Mr. Richard and a man who she didn’t know had come to witness their impromptu union.
As her eyes caught that of the man she now knew was Charles’s father, she smiled and walked towards him as he did.
“Isabella, we finally meet. You are one fine lady.” Isabella almost grinned. She had thought the same thing after her overnight transformation.
“Thank you very much sir. I am also glad to meet you.” She leaned into the hug he initiated and she got reminded of a father’s hold, causing her heart to clench.
As he broke the embrace, he said, “I know it spoils the celebratory mood and I apologize, but I want to say I am sorry for how reckless Charles’s mother has been.”
“It is alright sir. I guess she was just being a mother.”
“Charles… make sure you keep this woman close.”
“I intend to father.” And he did. He pulled her into his side and her smile widened, she felt her face would tear. “Richard?”
“Yes?” The man called congratulated Isabella who in turn didn’t fail to show her appreciation.
“Are the plans in place?”
“Sure.” Mr. Richard gave a wink causing Isabella to wonder.
“Then, we’ll take our leave now,” Charles said and pulled Isabella along towards the closest elevator.
“What is going to happen now Charles?” Isabella asked, excitement within her. He gave no response as he pressed a button on the lift. “Charles?”
“Get in,” he commanded as the doors swung open.
Not sure what to make of the tone of his voice, she did as he said. But before she could turn to face him, her back met his hard chest, her buttock pressed against the heat in his lower region and the whole space became really hot.
“What will happen now?” he brought up her question and she just had to grind into him as deep, sexy voice drove her nuts in a good way. “I’ll tell you.”
His hands traced all the way to her shoulders and with a firm settle on the base of her neck, he pulled her even more towards him, leaned forward and licked the softness of her skin there and she had to hold something for support.
It felt good. Too good.
“I am going to hurt you in a good way.” He nibbled at her skin, still caressing with his tongue. “I will make you regret walking away in a way that you’ll love.”
One of his hand went to her heat and he just placed it there after pulling her closer to him once more.
It baffled her. How good it felt when he wasn’t doing anything to her yet.
“Isabella?” His breath teased her as his lowered voice did.
“Y-yes?”
“Let’s continue this at home.”
