The people inside the mansion were surprised and all went out the main door not minding who they would bump into and step on. Princess stayed inside with her arms crossed in front of her looking down on Ramsey who was arching his body because of the pain.
Emelda stood tall while looking at her son who was lying on the ground, "You did dare to get a gun to bring inside the house?! Even had the gut to point it as you walk in!"
"What happened to you Ramsey and you're acting like that?!" Emelda's voice was almost shouting which surprised the people who work for her. Emelda's voice was always soft and her face was always light and kind.
"Why did you shoot me? You're not my target here! These two traitorous women!" Ramsey was in a prone position while looking at Emelda who was standing from afar looking at him.
Emelda sighed heavily, "Why are you doing this?! Why are you like this to Liam, your son?! Ever since he was born you're already unfair!"
"Liam doesn't deserve your treatment so I'm drawing a line here!"
After Emelda shouted, Ramsey just looked at her with fear, his hand turned into a fist, "Can you blame me, mother! I wasn't in love with his mother and that was one mistake!"
"I didn't know that the girl I love would trade me for someone richer than me and I ended up pouring everything into Liam's mother even though I don't like her!"
"That was a mistake! A mistake that---that child was born! I feel like I had a rival with you, mother! The company! You even wanted to give it to him at the age of 25?! Why didn't you think to give it to me?!"
Emelda was stunned by everything that Ramsey said, she had every explanation for everything that her son complain about, she didn't know that he would feel that way but Emelda didn't have a choice because she knew that Liam had much more chance of saving the company more than his son, Ramsey.
Emelda's jaw tightened, "That wasn't a mistake, and take back what you said! Liam wasn't a mistake maybe what you did, yes but my grandson, no!"
"It wasn't his fault that he was good enough that time! He's a better ace to heal the company! But what did your son do?! He tolerated the offer Ramsey because he respected you so much!"
Those words cut deeper than Ramsey expected, he didn't know what to do and the ache in his leg was bearable and he became numb, he wanted to decline everything his mother said but all he ever did was look down and listen.
Emelda's hand went to her temple because of the stress she felt, "It wasn't Blair's fault that she fell for someone more powerful than you. It's not her fault It's your fault, all you did was take her for granted and I couldn't wonder enough that she ended up loving Daniel Lennox!"
Ramsey's eyes began to form tears, he wants to deny every bit of that word that came out of Emelda's mouth.
"So don't blame Violet because she wasn't born when that happened especially Liam, I've witnessed him asking and asking if you hate him this much and it was unbearable for me to hear!"
"But I'm thankful! Thankful enough that he didn't live and follow in your footsteps!"
The atmosphere was silent only the passing of the wind gave the noise around, Liam had gone home and taken some rest. It was Emelda's orders because it was obvious from Liam's face that he could have given up anytime.
"Okay! I got it! Just let me go already, I know he's your favorite! You're too much! Help me stand up!"
Even though Ramsey was hurt, he still hasn't lost the desire to blow up Ilena's skull not twice but many times until her face is erased.
Ramsey already stood up but the guns pointed at him remained high, reassuring him that he'll not make another move.
"Tsk," Ramsey's leg started to ache while walking in the wide front yard of Emelda's house.
Emelda wanted until Ramsey passed her, "It was true that that boy is Liam's son."
"Believe me and you should promise me this!"
The man who was holding Ramsey stopped, as for Ramsey, he doesn't want to stop but he doesn't have a choice.
Emelda's eyes began to form tears, "Promise me that you'll never harm that family."
Ramsey breathed heavily, "promise."
Ramsey looked in the other direction with pain written all over his face, he didn't know what he was going to feel but as he was being brought to the hospital. He was restless.
His thought was deep not as deep as the bullet in his leg, even though what Emelda said would appear to be true he still didn't want to believe it and if it was true, it made him hate that family more. Even Liam.
Ramsey first saw Violet and it captivated him, he did not know that Blair would give birth to a child that looked just like her and was jealous when he learned that Liam was often seen with the girl.
Ramsey can't accept that he'll always come next or second when it comes to the child he raised.
"Please stay at the hospital as your wound heals." The nurse said and left
Ramsey leaned his back on the pillows that were supporting his back and dialed a number on the phone.
Ramsey looked out the window as he was waiting for the other line to pick up when he suddenly remembered.
How lovely Blair looked when they were together and how happy they were but, Ramsey turned cold because of the jealousy he felt. Ramsey couldn't control himself until he saw Blair's happy eyes slowly lose their energy as she looked at Ramsey.
Until one day Blair left and because of pride, Ramsey didn't pursue her, after a week Ramsey decided that he couldn't go any longer and wanted Blair back but witnessed how bright Blair's smile was towards the most powerful guy who was competing with him in the business.
That broke him into pieces that led him to promise himself, "that no matter what he'll take revenge."
"You called?"
Ramsey closed his eyes and when they opened a grin formed on his lips, "I have a favor to ask you."
"A favor, sure. It's rare for Mr. Dawnson to ask a favor for someone like me, what kind of favor?"
Ramsey fixed it and she was wearing it and she walked out of the room with a smile...
