The man was hitting on me at this point as he kept on pushing himself, not even sensing that I am not interested in him.
“So, I’ll buy you a drink.” He suggested it, and I shook my head.
“I’m not in the mood for a drink.”
But this didn’t make him give up, in fact, he looked more desperate now, “How about some dance?”
“My feet hurt from dancing.” I pouted for an effect, can’t this guy just leave? Can’t he take a hint? Or should I say it to his face directly?
“Then can we sit at the stool and chat?”
“Honestly, no-“
I wasn’t able to finish my sentence when the man’s jaw clenched in anger, “Then what do you want, woman?” His sweet tone now turned into a shout, it was obvious that he ran out of patience.
I suddenly halted, wait what? Did this man just go from being sweet to pushy to screaming at me?
Oh damn. I am definitely not gonna let this pass.
“Excuse me? Did you just call me a woman?” Men like these are what I had been avoiding. They think they own the world and belittle us, women. I am fuming and in a rage right now.
Insult me with anything you want but don’t even dare to insult my femininity as a woman.
“What did you expect from a bar? Playing around like children? It’s obvious that you are playing hard to get and playing innocent, I know your kind.”
Wow, being insulted and having to have an argument with a man in a bar is not the kind of best night I wanted.
I gritted my teeth, now completely boiling in anger. I scoffed at the man, “You just can’t accept that you are not attractive enough for me, don’t you.”
The man paused, ‘“You bitch.”
He was approaching me, wanting to hit me when suddenly, a hand was placed on my waist.
“That’s enough.” A deep voice said and I could feel the crowd loosening up and watching the scene. Even the music stopped for us.
I checked who intervened and was shocked to see that it was the handsome man from the stage earlier. The man whom everyone seemed to like…
“Stop bothering my girl.” He told the man who approached me. His deep set of blue eyes pinned the man down, his silence enough to make the man gulp.
“Oh, I didn’t know…anyways, it was nice meeting you.” There was fear in the man’s eyes as he hesitantly left.
I felt weird that this man is claiming me to be his but he must have done it to intimidate the man. “Were you uncomfy, miss?” He asked me, “Damn, this whole place needs double security from perverts like that.”
“Yes,” I answered honestly….I then cleared my throat, “Uhm..do we know each other?”
Tori was silently pinching my arm and I gave her a look. She suddenly left me with the man and I was alone.
“No, but I own this place.” He said, “I need to make sure my customers are comfortable.”
I nodded, so that’s why he had bodyguards around and seemed to hold a reputable status here…everyone seems to admire and get intimidated by him. and he stayed for a bit to talk, asking about my name and my likes. I refuse to tell them my real name and just told him I am Jane, and he seemed to buy it.
Just then, I could feel another presence from behind as another voice called, “Saphira?”
I turned around and gasped, seeing Harry, the man that I have been avoiding. Wow, just my luck, isn’t it?
The man behind me didn’t notice my discomfort as he kept on talking when I instantly fake laughed and leaned into him “Hey, kiss me.”
The man seemed stunned by my request but he instantly understood it.
I discreetly glanced back at Harry who looked confused, wanting to walk towards me but the man in front of me blocked my view from him.
I do not want to appear that weak to him. I have to show Harry that I had clearly moved on!
The man in front of me was eyeing me, clearly enjoying this, “You could have told me that sooner…” He said as he softly grabbed me, eyes interlocking with mine.
I could taste the sweet faint of tequila from his mouth as his lips interlocked with mine. I closed my eyes, not enjoying this. This was a necessary thing to do, so I don’t have any choice!
This is definitely my first time kissing a stranger.
It took me a few seconds and when I was sure that Harry finally left, I opened my eyes.
“That’s enough.” I lightly pushed him away, wiping my lips and clearing my throat, “Thank you for listening to my strange request.”
He smirked, looking as if this was not his first time to do that, He definitely enjoyed it, “Is kissing your way of greeting someone the first time you meet them?”
“No, but my ex is there,” I answered hesitantly, wanting to lie. But what more could I lose? It's best, to tell the truth.
I felt my cheeks rushing and I could not even look him in the eye. I admit that blatant request was too much for a stranger. I had to leave. “I need to leave now-“
“Wait, who told you that service was free?” He suddenly asked me.
“Huh?
“You used me just like that. I demand some payment, don’t you think so?“
Payment? My eyebrows furrowed at him, gnawing on my teeth. “Then send me the invoice, I'll pay later.”
His hand grabbed mine, “It’s not money I want. I have lots of that, miss.”
“Then what is it?”
“I know you know what exactly I am referring to.”
I sighed, wanting this to be over with, “Fine.”
In a harsh manner, I quickly grabbed him by the neck as I made him lean into me, and then pushed my lips to him. I kissed him back, and his stunned expression was replaced with a smile as his hand pulled me in deeper, asking for more. This time, his tongue was asking for an entrance as his hands were roaming around my body.
I could feel the heat and tension lingering in the air, and his breathing was becoming ragged, like a hungry beast. His hand was grabbing my hair, and my hand did the same to him.
I could not even bother with the loud music around us as my attention was fixated on him. He’s a great kisser, of course, he looks like he practiced this a lot.
He was sucking in air and I didn’t know how many seconds passed by when we pulled out from each other, air was sucked out from both of us. I was panting, and I looked at his disheveled hair and upside-down necktie.
I bit my lip in shame, that’s entirely my fault...
Well, he made me a mess too so it's a tie.
I guess I enjoyed it as he was breathing hard, eyes never leaving mine, “What’s your name again?”
“Jane.” I instantly replied, telling him the name I decided for tonight. There’s no way I would tell my real name to a stranger.

My inner thoughts asks and I sighed. Well, he’s not entirely a stranger from now on.
He didn’t even notice the lie I made up as he nodded, “Oh, my sweet Jane…in my year of experience in the bar, you awoken something inside me again…” He then pointed at the thing between his legs….his crotch exactly, and even in the darkness, I knew that he was hard as a rock.
The boner was too obvious that I know leaving the bar in this state would be curious…
I made him that way….I felt amazed at how I managed to do that, and I could feel the jealous gaze from some of the girls who noticed us.
I averted my gaze to the wall behind him, not wanting to make eye contact with his crotch or his teasing eyes, “Don’t take me wrong, that was the payment you were asking.” I reasoned out.
He raised his eyebrows, “Wow. I was not thinking about that but since you insist..”
