Billionaire's Hard headed wife Chapter 9

“Get the anchovies,” she commands, and my hands shake; what are the anchovies? I'm finding what it looks like, and Layla helps me too. I looked at her, and she was tasting the water again, and she looked at me, raised her eyebrow at me, and looked away. She doesn't like me. I bit my lower lip. I’m scared of her, don’t get me wrong, she’s kind to me, but I’m afraid of her as she keeps on scolding us, and she looks like Kier; they are scary even though they are just in a calm mood, but their aura is creepy. “It's just in front of you, don't tell me you don’t think what this is,” she said in disbelief, but Layla answered. “Mom, what's that? We don't know anything about that, and you're getting mad when we didn't find it.” Layla added. I'm nervous whenever he commands me because I don't know anything. “Hay, this is the Saffron, the dried stigma of crocus flowers; this is essential to Spanish cooking; it's costly. I must teach two of you to cook,” and she faces the pot again. “Shielyn, does Kier cook?” she asks, and my heart beats faster; she's asking again. She asked me calmly and softly, but her aura made me nervous. Should I tell her the truth? I'm scared she will get mad at me if she finds out Kier is doing the household chores; she’s a bit strict. She would scold me if I said that Kiers was preparing our meal, and if I lied to her, she wouldn’t believe me. “Uhmm,” I played my fingers. “Daughter, learn to cook. Kier is handling a corporation, and it's not easy; it's tiring; how did you let him do the cooking?” she scolded me. “You're a woman. Come here often; I'll teach you cooking and household chores,” her left hand is on her waist. She's not mad; she's encouraging me. “Mom's brother Kier won’t let her do that!” Layla answered She faces us. “And why?” my mother raises her eyebrow at us. “Because I said so.” Our attention shifted to Kier, who had just entered the kitchen and opened the fridge. “Why are you scolding my wife, mom?” kier asked calmly, poured water, and looked at us. “My wife isn’t a maid, and it's not her responsibility,” Kier said, and he drank water. “I can get my chef whenever I want and stop meddling in our lives, Mom,” Kier said, and his face was natural; he was not mad or irritated. I looked at him, he had just woken up, and he was wearing a plain white t-shirt which suited him and black pants, as usual, his black hair was tidy. After we had breakfast, he drank coffee and rested for a while. He took a bath, and he slept. Layla giggled. She’s always laughing. There’s no need to giggle at his words; he is a liar. He stood beside me and held my hand; his eyebrow furrowed when he saw the cut on my fingers. “Mom, did you let her use the knives?!” his voice raises “Kier, it's normal, and don't raise your voice at me!” My mother-in-law warned him. “Layla, I told you to look over at her!” Layla flinched; he was glaring at Layla “B-brother. I-I. Hehe,” she doesn't know what to say. I held Kier's arm to calm him. “It's my fault, and this is just a small cut. You don't need to shout at your cousin.” I said to him. Kier face relaxed “Mom? Why did you let her do the thing here?” Kier asked in frustration. Her mom raises her eyebrow at Kier. “And why? She doesn’t know how to cook! I’m just teaching her!” He sighed in disbelief. “Mom! that’s being stupid!” Kier shouted and pinched the bridge of his nose in annoyance. I held Kier’s arm to calm him. I didn’t want my mother-in-law to hate me after Kier shouted at her because of me.  His mom might think wrong about me, and I don’t want that to happen. “A good wife doesn’t need to be a chef! That’s not the requirement! Women are different from each other! And stop the stigma! They don’t have to be good at household chores to be called a good wife!” “K-ken,” I called him. “You’re shouting at me? Because of this woman?!” My mother-in-law pointed at me. “M-mommy,” Layla tried to stop mom. She senses, too, that this is going further. She’s scared too. “Don’t point the finger at my wife,” his voice is deep, and every word is sending a warning; it gives shivers to my spine. Kier is about to reply. “K-ken s-stop” I tried to stop him, and he was disrespecting his mom because of me. I want to cry right now; I don’t want them to fight because of me. His mom put down her finger and held his son's cheek. “My god, son,'' she said with teary eyes. “You’re not my baby anymore.” Mom said dramatically. Kier put her hand down. “Stop babying me; I’m not a baby anymore,” his eyebrow crease, his irritation, I know that tone of his voice. He turns off the stove. We almost forgot about it. He gets my finger and puts it in his mouth; I cringe. I didn’t expect that. We're just looking into each other eyes. “Kier, son, you're so overprotective,” his mom said while giggling, but my attention was just on his mouth; he sucked it. “Since you're here, continue what I'm cooking,” she lively left this place. He sucks my finger while intently looking at me, twirling his tongue on my finger. I fell back to my senses when I heard Layla's loudest giggles. “Oh, Em G!” I hurriedly took back my hand and hid it behind my back while Kier smirked. “Get out of here,” he points at Layla as he uses the authorities’ tone again. “But can I have my cheese?” Layla did a puppy eye. “Tsk,” Layla glared at Kier because Ken threw the cheese on her face, and it fell on the floor. He continued cooking, and I was just sitting on a chair and watching him. We’re preparing our lunch, and his mom helps us. “Fiero!” Someone shouted from the door, and we all looked at her. She’s wearing a sexy dress that reveals her shoulder and cleavage, she’s also wearing high heels, and her make-up is just natural, which suits her; she looks like a model. Kier’s mom's face brightened when she saw her. “Daughter,” Mom and that woman hug each other, but that woman’s attention is on Ken. “Omo! Sissy, you’re here?!” Layla exclaimed. Who is she? Next, she hugged Layla. And they hug each other tightly. “I miss you!” Layla said. “I know that’s why I came,” she said and separated from the hug. “Oh, by the way.” Kier’s Mom exclaimed and held her hand when she and Layla separated from the hug. “This is Shielyn, Kier‘s wife,”  Mom Kier introduced me to her, and she forcedly smiled at me and immediately shifted her attention to the person beside me. “Fiero, I miss you” she hugged Kier, but Kier pushed her. She even kissed his cheeks. “Don’t you miss me?” she pouted her lips. I looked at Kier, waiting for his answer. He put his hands on the pocket of his pants. “Of course,” he simply said. The woman smiles widely at his answer; it seems she likes it. I want to roll my eyes so bad! “You’re just in the right time. We’re about to eat lunch, and Kier is the one who cooks,” Mom said. “Really?!” her eyes spark, and she hugs his right arm. “He knows that I’m coming. That’s why he cooks.” “My wife helps me,” Kier said proudly. Kier is giving me credits, and there's an arrogant voice in his voice. He snaked his hands to my waist and pulled me. “And who is this beautiful lady here?” We all look at grand Lo coming on us, and he's with auntie Lian, Layla’s mom, and uncle V. “Grandpa!” The woman rushes to them and hugs them too. I look at Kier, and his face is casual; he doesn't look happy or sad. They look so glad because she came. “Sissy, let's go shopping. I have new makeup and became an ambassador,” Layla happily announced to her; they looked close.
