These days Clyde has been ignoring me, I mean.. he has been going out with Anna a lot.. almost everyday. He's being so selfish right now because he can go out with Anna but I can go out. He prevented me from going anywhere so I've been staying at the house doing nothing.
I called Becca a lot and she said that Clyde is starting to turn into a real asshole. He doesn't care about me anymore. He treated me literally like trash.
I never hangout with any guys because as you all know, I'm not interested in having a relationship so it's a little bit boring here. I miss New York because all of my friends are there.
I spent my time sleeping all the time pand woke up at 9 p.m. I decided to go to the rooftop and yes they have a beautiful rooftop. It's more like a small balcony. I made my way up there and found grandma sitting there. I smiled seeing her and decided to join her.
"Sit down, Bev." Grandma said as she saw me. I nodded and sat on the chair beside her. She pointed at the sky and I looked up following her finger. The sky is really bright tonight.
"It's beautiful.." I said.
"It is." Grandma said as she took my hand patting it.
"How's 5 months being here?" She asked.
"Good.. I love it here."
"Are you and Clyde okay?" She asked carefully.
"Well.. okay.. I guess." I chuckled a little.
"Until when you two will lie to me?" My eyes widened and I turned to her disbelief.
"Huh?" I asked.
"You two are not engaged right? Not even dating.." My jaw literally dropped when she said that.
"Did he drag you here?"
"No, grandma. We're no-"
"Beverly, my age might be 99 but I know how it feels to be young and free." She smiled at me and I looked at her in disbelief.
"When you came.. it's so obvious that you both don't love each other. There's no sparks at all in the both of your eyes. Everything is awkward and it's so obvious that you're trying to look bad in front of us." Oh my god.
"Grandma, why didn't you say anything?" I asked and she chuckled.
"Do you miss New York?" She asked.
"A little."
"Do you want to go back there?" She asked and I nodded a little bit.
"Then go." She patted my hand and I looked at her. She smiled widely and then she patted my shoulder.
"Grandma, I didn't want you to make you sad or things like that because of all this." I said because I felt bad.
"Beverly.. everything happens for a reason. So how about you tell me about your story. I would love to hear it."
"No.. I have a horrible life."
"I have worse." She said and I sighed. She patted my hand and smiled waiting for me to tell her my story.
"My parents divorce when I was 3, they're both architects and they're really busy. They both sent me to my grandmother and she's the one who took a good care of me since I was little. When she passed away, my parents just provided me with money to live my life. When I wanted to go to the university.. I never thought about being an architect. My parents forced me to take architecture and in the end I took it. I hate it at first but I began to love it later on."
"When I graduated, I tried to apply for a job but no one accepted me. My friend asked for my help to break up with her boyfriend and since I'm good.. a lot of people are asking for my help. I got pay and people started coming to me asking for help because I'm good at this job. One of my clients loves Jack, she asked me to ruin Jack and Carrie's wedding."
"I know Jack." Grandma said and nodded.
"Clyde caught me.. and dragged me away but I happened to crash his car, broke his phone and even kicked him right to his balls. Apparently Clyde caught me a lot of times so he threatened me and made me help him." I sighed and turned to grandma.
"You hate me, don't you?" I asked and she chuckled.
"No. I played along with you two, didn't I?" She said and I nodded.
"You don't like Clyde?"
"To me.. he's just a client." I answered and she smiled.
"If you really want to go back to New York, go.. I won't stop you. If you want to stay, then stay and I will act like I don't know anything about you two."
"Do Jocelyn and Fred know?"
"No, of course. Just me."
"I'm sorry, grandma."
"I'm sorry for you, Clyde has been hanging out with Anna again right? You're upset."
"No.. I'm not upset. I just felt guilty that I have to lie about a lot of things." I said and she nodded.
"I'm sorry, grandma."
"You know.. If you miss LA and us.. you can come here again." She said and I began to get teary. I cried and hugged her. She patted my back and really calmed me down.
"You're my grandchild. Even though you're not married to Clyde, you're my grandchild too. You're a really nice girl.. kind.. bright even though you have a rough past. Seeing you're not happy these days broke my heart so.. if you want to go back to New York.. then go. I'll talk to Clyde later on." I kept hugging her and cried. How can someone be this nice and this kind?
"I'm sorry for lying, grandma."
"It's okay.. you're not technically lying because I know about it since day 1." She chuckled and I released the hug. She wiped my tears and she smiled.
"I want you to be happy.. go back to New York and find a job. I bet you're a really good architect." She said and I nodded.
"Thankyou so much, grandma."
"Welcome, Beverly." After that we talked a lot and I literally spil everything about my life to her..
