In the limo, Colt just sat watching her with disappointment in his eyes.
“What, Colt?”
“What? Holly, you could have hurt that guy.”
“Oh, please. I used to work as a sideshow circus act. My best friend was a knife thrower. He taught me to do that shit. If I wanted to hurt him, I would have.” She rolled her eyes.
“You can’t just go around beating up everyone.”
Colt didn’t understand why she always had to act so tough. Sure, they had heat, but this was out of control.
“Watch me. You don’t get it, pretty boy. I’m not some little barbie doll, like those girls at work.”
“Oh, trust me, I get it. I have been seeing you beat the shit out of my friends and sucker punched me in the face, on more than one occasion. You think you’re such a badass.” Colt sighed, turning to look out the car window.
Holly chuckled, trying to sound convincing. “I am. The sad thing is, you think admitting that makes you weak. What’s wrong with a girl who can take care of herself?”
“I think you’re tough, but it takes more than beating up people all the time to be a badass. A real badass knows when to walk away. Like your brothers. Do you see them beating the shit out of people every time they get mad? No. Wraith is in control, and one tough son of a bitch, but people respect him. No matter how tough he is, he still has respect for people. You… you’re a thug. That’s it.” Colt turned away from her, rubbing his bottom lip between his fingers in irritation.
Holly fought back a tear. She let no one see her upset.
“It’s not easy for me, you know. Little Holly. Sister of the big bad Doom brothers, Wraith and Cyrus. I wasn’t always like this. I was a girly-girl. You try half your life having to live up to your brother’s legacy. Kids at school who were always trying to start a fight because of who my brothers are. Thinking if they fight me they have won some damn king of hill award. I lost a lot. I got my ass kicked almost every damn day. So, I learned to fight. The night in the bar, I got arrested. Those five guys did that same damn thing to me as that man did tonight. Only that night they had a lot more in mind. He had no right to put his hands on me. I fight because that’s who I am now. Like it or not.”
She looked out the window, trying hard not to cry. Colt had never seen her be vulnerable. But hearing that, he understood why she was so hard all the time.
“I’m sorry. I didn’t know that.”
“Give me my blade.” She reached out her hand.
“No. Hell no!” Colt scoffed.
“GIVE. ME… my blade!”
Holly was getting mad. Mostly because she had told no one why she was the way she was. He made her weak. She hated it, and her only instinct was to be combative.
“Nope. I’ll give it to Wraith or Cyrus. You don’t need to be walking around with a switchblade. I don’t want you getting all pissed off at me and end up with a knife in my gut.”
She got on her knees in the seat, trying to get into his jacket. “GIVE IT TO ME!”
He grabbed her wrist holding her back and Holly head-butted him.
“SON OF A BITCH, HOLLY!”
Colt grabbed her, forcing her to the seat in the limo on her back. He straddled her, holding both arms down over her head.
“STOP! Calm the fuck down!”
She realized Colt was stronger than her as she struggled beneath him. Few men had ever subdued her when she was mad, except her brothers. As she stopped flailing around, their eyes met. Both angry and wanting to fight. Both their chests rising and falling with the race of adrenaline and heavy breathing. She was so turned on she thought she would burst at the seams. A man who could control her rage gave her a rush or pure adrenaline. Someone to fight with her need for a power struggle. An equal.
Holly felt herself pushing her hips up to meet his. Colt looking down, seeing her sudden look of desire, and with that, Colt’s hormones went into overdrive.
“Fuck it.” He leaned over grabbing her face and kissing her hard.
Holly threw her arms around Colt’s neck, pulling him closer.
A few seconds of heated kissing Colt backed off when he realized he had just lost control. What was this woman doing to him? He always wanted a woman who was submissive. Holly was driving him to the brink of insanity, and she was leading him along by his cock. All reason was escaping him, and the Colt between his legs was doing the thinking now.
He sat back down in the seat in shock. Holly sat up, straightening her top and smoothing her hair. Unsure of what just happened, they were stunned speechless.
Once the limo stopped, they walked into the hotel in silence and disbelief. Not saying anything they just walked, looking straight ahead. In the elevator they looked to each other, dazed, and confused at what had just transpired. Like two nervous kids after their first kiss, they quickly looked away from each other.
Colt walked her to her room, trying to get himself together.
Holly opened her hotel room door before turning back to him. “Can I have the knife, please?”
“No.” Colt’s eyes darkened with a stern voice.
SLAP!
Holly slapped him hard across the face and tried once more before Colt grabbed her arm. Shoving her into the room, still holding onto her, he growled in frustration. Holly struggled slightly, and he kicked the door shut once they were inside. Both, once more, getting turned on with anger and lust. Holly threw her arms around his neck, crashing her lips onto his hard.
Colt lifted her off the ground and pushed her against the door. Her legs wrapping around his waist in a fury of lust.
“I hate you,” Holly teased with a smirk.
“No, you don’t.” He kissed her again, trying to shut her up.
“Mmm. Colt. I want you.” She lifted off her top as his lips ravenously went to her taut breast.
Taking her to the bed, they both worked quickly to remove their clothes. Colt put on a condom, getting on top of her, only stopping to admire her. He finally was seeing how amazing Holly’s body truly was.
There was nothing gentle with their actions. They wanted each other; then and now. All the fighting and sexual tension over the past couple weeks finally came to a head at that moment. Colt positioned himself between her legs, thrusting into her quickly.
A little pained whimper escaped her, and Holly winced at the sudden intrusion.
“Oh, damn. You’re so tight. Relax.”
Holly smirked, biting her lip. “Don’t tell me to relax.” She rolled him over, getting on top, still trying to adjust to his girth.
“Holly, is this your first…”
“No! That’s crazy. Shut up and fuck me.”
She started riding him, trying to adjust through the burning pain. He moved with the motions of her body to thrust her harder onto him. Finally, the pain subsided, and she rode him in pure lustful heat and ecstasy. Holly’s head flung back, and her hands went over her breast as the pleasure increased and the initial pain subsided.
“Colt, it feels so good. Don’t stop.”
Colt reached down, stimulating her further, rubbing on her slick bundle of nerves. She was almost there, and he could feel her tighten around him. He felt a shiver of her body as she reached climax.
“That’s right. Show me what a bad girl you are.” He rolled her over, taking control once more.
“Colt… oh… I’m… AHH! YES!”
She felt the wave of release from the mind-blowing orgasm and he soon followed.
Colt rolled over, trying to regain himself. Looking over with a half-smile, trying to catch his breath. Holly was now laying on her side with her head rested in her hand. Looking very satisfied. Sort of like she won. He chuckled at the look on her face.
“What?”
“This doesn’t change anything. I still have a job to do. But thanks. You’re a good fuck. I needed that. Now get out. I have a meeting in the morning with Davis.” She smirked with an evil grin and his smile quickly faded. “I didn’t stutter. Get out.”
Colt got up, grabbing his clothes. “You’re a bitch. You know that?”
Looking back at her with hurt in his eyes, Colt felt his heart plummeting to the floor. Maybe this was how he had made women feel in the past when he walked out on dates he wasn’t into. He would make no one feel like that again. He was sure of it.
Holly saw the hurt in his eyes, but she wasn’t backing down. She would allow no one to hurt her again. It was just sex. She gave him what he wanted. That’s all men ever wanted from her. She took control and decided when and where.
She should feel empowered, right? But she just felt empty.
After Colt left, she went to shower. Looking in the mirror afterward, she almost couldn’t look at herself. Colt was obviously hurt by what she said, and she couldn’t blame him. Kicking her out of her bed immediately after what they had just shared felt so cold.
“I can’t let myself end up hurt again. Every time I fall for a guy, they break my heart. It’s just sex, Holly.” She looked down at the floor, almost ready to cry.
“Just… sex. Even if it was your first time.”
