My fist smashed the stone parapet and shattered it into tiny pieces. I groaned, rubbing my face with the same hand, now covered in blood and stone crumbs. Shit man Beau, what are you doing?
"That was extremely unwise."
As if by magic, the rocks regenerated and joined together again to form a railing.
I turned around.
"Nasty words won't get you anywhere, let someone tell you that who has experienced it first hand." Aramis closed the open double doors with a small movement of his hand behind him. Even today, on a holiday, he stood there in his black leather suit as if he were about to go into battle. "You're only going to screw yourself up more with that."
"Oh, and who are you? Crazy guru?” I snapped and my wolf growled in frustration. My nerves were really overwhelmed. I escape. "Fuck the fuck off."
Aramis chuckled. “Just make the same mistake I made then. Come on! Drive them as far away from you as you want. But at some point, I tell you, you won't be able to fix that heart either."
I didn't say anything. Did he think I needed his fucking advice? Any advice on Georgie? He could shove that up his ass, he didn't know anything about her or me.
'Georgie's been hurt enough in her life. She doesn't need your shit too."
My eyes changed. Snarling, I bared my teeth like a wild wolf. "She's none of your damn business."
He looked at me coolly. “I don't give a fuck if you don't listen to me. I'm only here because Zaira said I should straighten your fucking skull."
"Are you ready?"
"Listen," he said dangerously quietly and I felt his tremendous dominance that surrounded him like a dense fog. He didn't point it at me—yet. A clear warning. “Georgie is close to Zaira's heart. So if you hurt Georgie, you'll hurt Zaira.” His eyes darkened abyss. For a moment I could not move, held in place by invisible bonds. He wielded his powers as a demigod. “And she won't be hurt. Got it?"
I felt the fur on the back of my neck, felt my sharp claws pressing against my fingertips. I growled menacingly, too. I wasn't the freaking scared of Aramis, and his teaching could be damned stolen from me. "Now go away," I hissed.
For a moment he was standing in front of me, then he disappeared and with him his mental bonds.
He had no idea what was at stake here. Georgie was never allowed to come near me. Not if her life was important to her.

Wishing we were mates.
But Beau wasn't here.
And that fact made me sadder than it should.
"You look beautiful, Georgie," Zaira said after she'd found me and, like everyone else, had congratulated me.
My lips curled up in a small smile. "Thanks."
Even Aramis, standing next to Xenos at the bar not far away, congratulated me, nodding to me and raising his goblet in cheers. " To you ..." his lips seemed to point before the lycan's wary eyes landed on Zaira again. He never let her out of his sight.
"How are you doing?"
"I couldn't be better," I replied, forcing a smile. "Tomorrow I'm officially taking the exam!"
Zaira's slightly tanned skin contrasted starkly with her white, long hair that framed her pretty, soft face. She beamed at me. "That's great Georgie! Glad to hear that."
"You're amazed?" Arya clicked her tongue as she joined us, as if Zaira's statement was pure nonsense. Now she grinned and boasted: "She always has the best tazim there is."
An arm wrapped around Arya's shoulders.
