Jace finds the door to the bathroom and opens it to check inside. A few minutes after he enters, I hear water running and then being turned off. Jace later comes out and walks to the bed.
"There is a bathtub big enough for us to fit. I have filled it with warm water and I think it will be more refreshing than a shower," he tells me. He looks looks at me with a secret smile. I am only dressed in pants.
"Should I help you with those?" he asks me referring to my pants.
"No need. I can manage to take them off on my own," I answer him with a smile.
"I don't mind helping. Besides, I enjoy helping you get naked," he says with a smirk and I swat his arm.
"Come here," he beckons me with open arms, and I don't think twice before responding. He helps me off the bed and I stand on my feet. He squats in front of me and slowly undoes my zipper. Carefully, he pulls my pants down to my feet and I step out of them. I am left in only in my white lace panties. He puts his face directly in front of my crotch and breathes in.
"You smell heavenly," he murmurs against my groin making shivers run through me.
He hooks his hand the waistband of the panties and pulls them down my legs. I step out of them and he places them neatly on top of my black pants. Damn! If someone walked through that door without Knocking, they would see everything. Me and Jace naked in this position, would be the least wild thing that has happened since yesterday.
He stands up straight and wraps his hands around my waist.
"Shall we?" he asks me with a raised eyebrow and I nod. He sweeps me off the floor and takes me to the bathroom. Whoa! The bathroom is so huge! It is almost twice the size of my bedroom back in my apartment. All the bathroom installations are very modern and fancy. I can't even compare it to Jace's bathroom in the mansion.
The bathtub that Jace was saying we could fit in is big enough to host a pool party with his family. Everything in this house is overly fancy.
"Be careful. It could be hot for you," he says while placing me in the steamy bubbling water. Oh, it is so soothing. I can feel my life slowly coming back to me. I lean my head back at enjoy the feel of the warm water. Jace gives me a dimpled smile before joining me.
After spending almost an hour in the bathtub, I feel clean enough to get out. Jace towel dries my body, despite my refusal, and carries me out of the bathroom. It feels so good when Jace takes care of me. He makes me feel so cherished and loved.
He places me on the bed and pecks me on the cheek.
"I will get you something to put on," he says before walking away. His ass looks so good in that towel. I can't stop the grin that forms on my face as I watch him.
He opens the door to the big walk-in closet and disappears within. He seems to know what he is doing. Who am I kidding? He grew up in this place so he probably knows where to find what he is looking for.
He comes out of the closet wearing drawstring pyjama pants than hung low on his waist. He is holding a clothing in his hands which looks like satin.
"I found you this satin nightgown. I hope it fits," he says while handling it to me.
I drop the towel and put on the gown. It feels so smooth on my body compared to my usual pyjama shorts. Jace watches me with a secret smile as I admire the gown.
"Satin looks so good on you," he says. He pulls me closer to him and cups my ass in a possessive grip through the thin fabric.
"It sticks to your body so well and brings out every curve of what belongs to only me," he whispers into my ear and my skin heats up. Damn I will him. I want him right now.
"You should go to sleep now. All the previous events must have tired your brain so much, you need to rest," he says while releasing his grip from my behind. He pulls the duvet aside for me to enter the bed, and I climb in. Jace also enters the bed on the other side and pulls me into his chest.
I hadn't realized how sleepy I was until now. I yawn silently and look at the clock. It is fifteen minutes past four o'clock in the morning. I have never slept this late in my whole life. But At least I can go to sleep hoping that tomorrow will be a good day. After winning this battle of Dwayne, there is nothing in this world that we won't be able to defeat.
Jace whispers a good night to me and switches of the lights.
I wake up with a heavy head. There is dim light in the room and Jace is not in bed. He is up already? What time is it? The curtains are covering the windows causing the darkness in the room. I check the time on the clock and find that it is ten minutes past mid-day. Oh, god! It is so late. I slept very late, anyway. It must be the reason why I over slept.
I jump out of the bed. The robe for the nightgown is on the night stand. I pick it up and throw it on. I get out of the room to hunt for my man. I meet Alexa on my way out.
"Amy!" she shrieks with excitement when she sees me.
"Alexa!" I dash to her and embrace her into a tight embrace.
"I was on my way to check on you. Jace told me that you were still asleep," she says.
"Yeah. I just got out of bed. I slept very late last night," I tell her and she shakes her head slightly.
"Everyone slept very late. Others haven't even slept at all," she says.
"Let's go back inside," I tell her and she nods.
She sits on the loveseat sofa on the end of the bed and I sit beside her.
"I have been told that you know the entire truth right now. It must be really hard for you," she says while reaching out her hands to hold mine.
"It was a shock to me at first. Well, it still is, but I am okay. As long as Dwayne is gone, I am sure I will be able to cope up," I tell her.
"It is so good to hear that from you. When I was back at home with Ellen's kids, I thought I was going to die worrying about you and everyone who had come over here for you. But I had a strong feeling that they were going to find you. I was just worried that Dwayne was going to harm you or them. I am so glad he is gone. Now we shall be able to live our lives to the fullest with a piece of mind," she tells me.
"Me too. I am glad this is over. Now Jace and everyone will be able to live the good life they deserve to live," I say with a sigh.
"It is very heartwarming me that you are still here with us after all that has happened. It really means so much knowing that you love Jace that much."
"I really love Jace so much. I don't know what I would do with myself if I left him," I say.
"Is this conversation about me?" Jace's voice interrupts us as he enters the room.
"I thought I heard my name being mentioned," he says walking towards us.
"Ofcourse you heard right," I tell him and he pecks me on my cheek. I wonder how much he heard of our conversation with his werewolf senses. He walks over to the windows and draws back the curtains. Bright light floods into the room making it look even more beautiful.
"I left the windows closed and the curtains there because I didn't want to interrupt your sleep," he explains the previous darkness and I smile at his thoughtfulness.
"How is Sophia doing?" I ask Alexa.
"I just checked on her and she is doing great. She told me she could run a marathon, but the doctor insisted that she still needs to rest," she replies.
"I want to go and check on her," I say while looking at Jace for approval.
"You can only go to check on her after having something to eat. I don't want you passing out on me and have Sophia check on you instead," he responds.
"Alright. I will eat," I promise him and he gives me a dimpled smile. Alexa just shakes her head at Jace who shrugs innocently.
