Tongues of fire emerged and then frantically spread. In an instant, a hundred Buddha Cliffs were consumed by a sea of fire. Under the terrifying heat, the entire Southern Sumeru became twisted and blurred.
“This deity will grant you twelve more hours.”
“If there’s no vision of the future, this domain shall be burned.”
The giant sat atop the highest cliff, hair wildly dancing like flames. He opened his eyes, gazing indifferently ahead.
In times past, whenever he awoke, when had this so-called assembly of Immortal Buddhas not respectfully come to greet him?
Yet now, those dressed-up monkeys dared to lay hands on a True God.
Even when he humbled himself to personally descend to this Sumeru Mountain, the Future Buddha dared to avoid meeting him. Perhaps he had truly been too lenient with these monkeys, allowing them to forget who is the true master of this heaven and earth.
He could allow these people to emulate Divine Power, granting them a portion of Heavenly Dao’s great force, but if they became arrogant because of this, forgetting respect and humility, then they should be prepared to be stripped of everything.
Upon hearing this, the monks all changed colors.
They dared not angrily rebuke, but beneath their seemingly respectful faces, there was clearly a surge of murderous intent.
In the beginning of heaven and earth, mortal life was fragile. Only by witnessing these Divine beings, born with the universe, did they realize the existence of such formidable power to look up to.
Perhaps the True Gods were bored and wanted to show off skills, or needed someone to help with tasks, so they scattered seeds of fire towards the Human World.
Mortals took hold of these sparks, delving deeply, and finally developed paths to ascend.
Refining Essence into Qi, Refining Qi into Spirit, Refining God and Returning to Void, Refining Void and Merging with Dao.
Step by step, they reached this point, becoming beings entirely different from mortals. To show their reverence and humility towards the True Gods, they dared not claim to be gods themselves, instead calling themselves Immortals.
The Nine Stages of Immortal Road, this path came to have Bodhisattvas and Golden Immortals, then gave birth to True Buddhas and Emperors.
They imitated more and more accurately, ultimately possessing power close to that of the Ancestor God. Some Sect Hierarchs even collaborated to deduce a further path, surpassing those Gods and Demons born from the initial opening of heaven and earth.
It also seemed the time for reckoning had arrived.
“Please, Ancestor God, calm your anger.”
A similar voice came from outside Southern Sumeru, but it was less high-pitched, extremely calm.
Including Qi Feng, many True Gods looked into the distance, and upon seeing the newcomer, they all snorted coldly.

A withered old monk hovered on a Nine-Colored Lotus Platform, with five Golden Lotuses gracefully following behind him.

The Past Buddha personally arrived, along with five True Buddhas.

The Fire Ancestor God’s face looked slightly better as his gaze swept past the Past Buddha and then looked at the other five golden lotus platforms gradually encircling his cliff.
“The Future Buddha has important matters at hand, following my sect’s imperial edict, and truly cannot come,”
The Past Buddha smiled mildly, “Hence, this old monk is substituting.”
The Fire Ancestor God sneered. Originally, this was nothing major, just a few Bodhisattvas acting stealthily. According to Qi Feng and others’ reports, those Bodhisattvas had long been defeated.
They only needed the Bodhi Sect to lower its head and admit fault, giving the True Gods an explanation, and the matter would conclude.
But as it dragged on to now, he realized there was something amiss. If he didn’t strike this group of monks, they would truly begin to think they were remarkable.
Thinking of this, his expression quickly turned cold, sternly saying, “If you’ve seen me, why do you not bow?!”
Divine sound echoed within Southern Sumeru. Qi Feng glanced around, subconsciously knitting his brows. He saw those previously humble figures with bowed heads at the mountain base, silently raising their heads one after the other, casting a gaze to the cliff top that was somewhat unfathomable.
“Does the Ancestor God care for these mortal formalities too?”
The Past Buddha’s smile remained unchanged, not showing any intent to bow with the lotus platform, surprisingly just openly gazing downward, “With heaven and earth in turmoil, in this old monk’s view, it’s better to quickly straighten matters out.”
The towering giant silently met the gaze.
A moment later, a sinister smile appeared at the corner of his lips, his immense figure slowly stood up, the flame-like hair suspended in the Sky Curtain, making the entire head as dazzling as the scorching sun.
“There is a human saying… a servant overpowers the master?”
“This deity has experienced it today.”
With those words, he suddenly extended his right arm, the massive fingers gathered like mountains, and a fierce blaze erupted in the palm. In that hand, the Nine-Colored Lotus Platform under the Past Buddha became entwined with fire tongues, delicate lotus leaves withering in an instant, the entire platform breaking like a house aflame, soon turning into scattered ashes.
The Ancestor God cruelly looked at the cross-legged skinny monk within his palm, “Who gave you the courage to gaze directly at the Heavenly Dao Rules?”
What True Buddhism Master? That is a division made by this group of monkeys. To the True Gods, they inherently represent the ultimate boundlessness of this Boundary.
