Even a genuine military bulletproof helmet couldn’t block a close-range rifle shot, only managing to deflect stray bullets, let alone an olive football helmet. So, as soon as the five football zombies emerged, Zhang Yanhang had already skillfully taken them out with controlled bursts.
The bullets, enhanced by the Gun Master’s Attack Power, penetrated the frontal protection of the football helmets, smoothly entered the zombies’ skulls, and after shredding their brains, burst out from the backside protection of the helmets.

Of course, this isn’t to say that the football helmets didn’t serve any purpose during this process. They did, to some extent, like catching the fragmented skulls and chunky brain tissues of the football zombies, allowing their corpses to remain as intact as possible after death.
While waiting for the treasure box, Zhang Yanhang glanced at the football jerseys they wore and spotted a familiar string of English abbreviations—letters he had previously seen on the school uniforms of student zombies—likely an abbreviation of a school name.
"Since it’s the abbreviation of a school name, these football zombies must be the school team zombies. So, why in the world are there so many school-related zombies in the sewer? This isn’t exactly Raccoon City High School."
Zhang Yanhang couldn’t guess why he encountered so many school-related zombies; he thought the only likely reason was that a sewer manhole cover connected to a school was left ajar nearby, allowing so many school-related zombies to wander in.
But according to his knowledge of Raccoon City, there shouldn’t be a school near the Dulda Apartment.
So, if it really was zombies wandering from a distant school, then it must be a really distant one.

While speaking, Zhang Yanhang picked up a White Drop Treasure Box from the corpse of the football zombies.

Zhang Yanhang estimated that once away from the area near Dulda Apartment, the monster density in other parts of the sewers would return to normal, which was the kind of density where he could run several intersections and possibly not encounter a single monster.
Zhang Yanhang termed that level of monster density as "chicken ribs" when he last cleaned the sewers—tasteless, but wasteful to discard. Normally, he would have wanted to give up cleaning the sewers.
Unfortunately, giving up could potentially affect the completion metrics for the Evaluation Settlement Treasure Box, so, however reluctantly, Zhang Yanhang had to thoroughly clean the sewers to ensure perfection.
Zhang Yanhang felt that since he had already cleared the surface parts of Raccoon City, and since total clearance of Raccoon City was only a step away, he couldn’t possibly let the reason of the sewers being too trivial prevent him from completing this task.

After turning a corner in the intersection, Zhang Yanhang had just run not too far when he encountered a new group of zombies. Compared to the Teacher Zombie he encountered earlier, this new group of zombies, likely because they were younger, had slightly better looks, but since they were still zombies, they weren’t much better looking.
Zhang Yanhang counted—there were seven zombies in total, all uniformly dressed in sleeveless tops with red and blue stripes, and their lower halves were clad in super-short skirts. Although tarnished by the sewage and trash in the sewer, making them look a bit grayer, Zhang Yanhang could still tell that the skirts were originally white.
Although lacking those two key spherical objects, Zhang Yanhang could tell that these seven zombies were previously cheerleading squad members.
Of course, the main point wasn’t that, but rather that the red, blue, and white uniforms of these Cheerleader Zombies were too classic, involuntarily reminding Zhang Yanhang of Pepsi. "Too bad this is Ashen World, otherwise just this color scheme could get Pepsi to pay up."
But even though the uniforms of the Cheerleader Zombies made him think of Pepsi, and he indeed quite liked drinking Pepsi, Zhang Yanhang wouldn’t show any mercy because of this.
After emptying the not-so-full magazine of his gun, seven neatly prostrated corpses of Cheerleader Zombies lay in front of Zhang Yanhang.
Already hideous with their pale complexions, the faces of the Cheerleader Zombies were utterly disfigured on the spot by Zhang Yanhang’s bullets; cheeks and foreheads were blasted into holes the size of fingertips.
Among them, the most pitiful Cheerleader Zombie had its crown blown open, revealing the already decayed but still gruesomely plowed gray-white brain, hardly resting even after such brutality.

If it had been monsters maintaining a pretty girl appearance, Zhang Yanhang might have allowed them to die later, allowing himself to enjoy the feeling of being surrounded by pretty girls, but these Cheerleader Zombies were just not up to the mark in terms of looks.
