Armipotent Chapter 1886

Akumbo did not player who he did not know the name of. First, the player threatened his village even though he knew it was Sango's fault for provoking the man. However, there was no need to threaten them like he did. A reasonable argument would solve the problem as he knew The Chief and The Elders were reasonable people. Second, the man was arrogant, as if he was a seasoned hunter and no one could hurt him. The player refused training and asked for a map. A hunter did not use a map, they used their instinct to read the surroundings and find their prey. Not only was he arrogant, but also spoiled. Those two reasons were enough to make Akumbo dislike the man. If not for an order from Chief Moussa, he would not follow the man into the woods. Despite his slight toward the man, he still offered the man a bow. Again, the man gave him an attitude. The man took the bow from his hand for a second before returning it. Even though the bow was not the best one in their village, it was still a good bow. "I have a better one." That was what he said in a light tone before heading toward the woods. He was now following the man, walking below the canopy tree. Akumbo frowned because the man did not observe the surroundings, not even trying to look for a clue as to what might be living in the area. The guy might be an amateur hunter, but not even an amateur made a mistake man. It was like the man was strolling in the dangerous forest instead of hunting. Through the clues and surroundings, he could tell which beast resided in the area. Even though they had been walking, they walked pretty fast, and they were in an area of Myth Rank Beast. He knew this rank of beast was not a threat to them, but they were a hunter. Underestimating their prey was the last thing that a hunter should do regardless of their rank. Akumbo kept following the man deeper into the forest, and he noticed the surroundings started to change. The surroundings were higher and bigger, the giant roots were breaking out from the ground, and the branches were tripled in size. He went still, realizing where they were. He was about to warn the player, but quickly realized the man was no longer in front of him. His heart dropped for a moment as he felt responsible because he was supposed to keep a watch on the player. The hunter looked around in panic, but he quickly found the man was up on the tree. He leaped to the branch, landing next to the man. He was about to reprimand the amateur hunter, but he quickly noticed that the man was fixated on something. Following the man's gaze, he found what the man was looking at. A group of flying beasts, seven of them. Akumbo did not know the official name for the beast, but they called them Vultrak. It was a bird, around three meters tall with no feathers on the neck. The body and the wing were black in color, but the tail was white. They were not an aggressive type of beast, but they were more annoying for the hunter. Vultrak did not hunt their own prey, but they stole them. That was right, they stole the dead prey from hunters, and if they recognized the hunter. They would follow the hunter and would try to steal the prey they hunted. They were moving in a group and would work together to steal from the hunter. Akumbo had a fair share of experiences against the Vultrak. He had his prey stolen many times. They would not attack the hunter, but they would fight back if the hunter tried to hunt them. A few hunters tried to hunt Vultrak, and they succeeded, but they would be hunted the following day. Many hunters had fallen to the Vultrak's claw, and one of his friends died to the Vultrak's claw as well. He hated Vultrak, but he had learned his lesson not to hunt Vultrak, not on his own. He would need a group of experienced hunters to hunt them down. Vultrak was not a Demi-God Rank, but a group of Legendary Ranks with a leader which was a Demi-God Rank. The hunter might not have the identification skill, but seasoned hunters had a measure of the beast rank and listed them all for the new hunters. Akumbo was about to warn the player when he noticed the player took out a bow. His eyes immediately locked on the bow. Even though he had not touched the bow, he knew a good thing when he saw one. The one in the player's hand was without a doubt one of the best bows he had seen. Maybe it was the same rank bow Chief Moussa had. He hated the player, letting the player kill one of the Vultrak would be a lesson for the new hunter. However, his heart could not watch the newbie hunter be ruined by the Vultrak. Or maybe because his hatred toward Vultrak was deeper than the player. He was about to warn the player, but he saw something that only Chief Moussa was capable of doing an elemental arrow. The player pulled the body and an arrow made of wind formed. Then his attention was attracted to the player's posture and realized the man was not new to the bow. It was a perfect posture. Because of the distraction, he failed to give a warning to the player as the wind arrow shot through the air. "Wait!" His voice came out a few seconds late. Akumbo knew it was too late, so he tried to grab the player's wrist. He wanted to pull the player back with him to the village. To his surprise, he failed to budge the player. He tried to put more strength in his hand and quickly realized that he could not pull the man. It was as if he tried to pull an immovable thing. He turned around and met with the player's eyes which were clearly confused and also annoyed. "What are you doing?" The player asked him in his usual neutral tone, which was followed by an accusation, "Are you trying to sabotage my hunting? Is that why you are following me?" "No! I…" Akumbo was getting worked up by the accusation. He was trying to help the player out of kindness. But he knew it was too late already, so he looked toward the Vultrak's direction. The Vultrak was no longer there, and he immediately looked down. His eyes widened in shock as he found seven of Vultrak's dead bodies, seven of them. Through his sharp eyes as a hunter, he found a hole in each of their small heads. Akumbo slowly turned toward the player, "How?" The player did not answer him, but then he realized he gripped the player's hands harder as the realization sunk in. He slowly loosened his grip and released the player's hand. "How? How are you killing them all in one shot?" The hunter was confident that the player only released one arrow.
