The boss floor was a demon, and he was surprised to find a demon on the boss floor. From what he remembered, the boss floor usually reflected the type of monster on the floor they guarded. He did not see any demons on the way here. There was no report about finding a demon village as well.
The Demon wore armor, a light armor with two swords on his waists and another pair of swords on his back. It had three horns with black eyes, totally different from his demon spirits. His skin was dark, but it was more dark-green. His right hand was covered in a dark-red tribal tattoo as well as his forehead.
The demon walked toward his guest's direction calmly as if he had been waiting for Tang Shaoyang's arrival.
[He is from the Bouvo Tribe… I remember their old tales. Their shamans created a ritual that could make a world disappear, something similar to Void Energy but worse. After that, they all disappeared, and we suspected the System did something to them, and our guess was spot on. The System jailed them in the dimensional tower…]
Orlean the Demon God, formerly a Demon Prince muttered in Tang Shaoyang's mind.
[The humans usually called them mountain demons because they lived in the mountains. However, Bouvo was known for something else. It was their sword technique. Bouvo was one of the best, if not the best for their sword technique. My kingdom was looking for their trace to get the sword technique, but we never found anything about them even until my death.]
Tang Shaoyang was interested in this Bouvo after listening to Orlean. Maybe because of Zaneos, he developed a fondness for a sword. Of course, if he had to make a choice between a sword and a battle-axe, he would pick the latter.
[Can you let me fight him, Master?]
The demon was in sight, around three hundred meters away from him. He was about to confront the floor boss and heard Orlean's request. It was rare for Orlean to make a personal request.
"I know you want to learn about the sword and maybe more about Bouvo, but we don't have the time," Tang Shaoyang could sense the disappointment from the Demo God, but he was not over yet, "I can give you thirty minutes to defeat the boss floor, but no more than thirty minutes."
He could sense that Orlean wanted more than thirty minutes, but the Demon God accepted the terms.
[I will take thirty minutes. I should be able to learn their sword technique since I am a God Rank too.] Orlean's voice lacked the confidence to analyze Bouvo's sword technique in thirty minutes.
"You don't have to fight him to learn his sword technique, Orlean," Tang Shaoyang responded, but he did not go into details about what it meant because Orlean picked up what his Master implied.
The Bouvo stopped when the distance between them closed to a hundred meters, but Tang Shaoyang kept approaching the demon.
The demon stayed and observed his guess with an appraised look, trying to see something from his enemy. Of course, the demon failed to pick anything from his observation, and the demon was aware of what it meant. The opposite had perfect control of his aura and might be much stronger than him. The latter part was just a hunch that he had not felt did not know how long this was his first interaction with any living being since he was put in this damned tower.
"Of course, The System will pit me against someone that I can't beat," The Demon let out a self-deprecating smile.
The term for him was that he would be able to get out of this tower if he could kill the player who challenged him. When he met the man in front of him, he quickly realized that The System never had an intention to let them free.
"Do you give up?" Tang Shaoyang asked as he heard word per word. He did not expect the demon to say something like that.
"I wish I could give up and let you pass, but I can't. Either I die or I kill you. There's no third option," His hand moved to the sword on his back and pulled it out. His swords were made of red steel, blood red. There was an intricate runic on the blade.
The demon's forehead creased as a realization struck him, "I think you have the fourth option. You can give up and leave me alone, though I doubt you will do it."
Tang Shaoyang smiled, "There's no third option indeed, but I can give you a chance to obtain that third option."
He summoned Orlean, and the Demon God appeared next to him. Bouvo was surprised to see another demon, and again, he could not sense anything from this demon. It was worse than the human. He felt nothing from the demon as if the demon was not a living being.
"If you win against him, then I will give up and look for another floor boss."
The Bouvo let out a chuckle, "This is far from a chance. Even if this demon is weaker than you, he is still stronger than me. But it's not like I have any other choices if I want to live."
The mountain demon then turned toward his challenger, scanning his enemy from top to bottom.
"I want to learn Bouvo's Sword Style," Orlean did not waste his breath and put out what he wanted from The Bouvo which shocked the latter.
The Bouvo did not expect that a demon would recognize him. It had been too long since they had been banished into this damned tower. He expected that no one would remember his kind anymore. It was to be expected since they had disappeared far too long.
"Not just you want to kill me, but you want to steal my people's technique. Isn't this funny?"
"If you teach me your sword technique, then I will not kill you. We will leave you alone," Orlean made the decision without asking Tang Shaoyang's consent. He knew that His Master was also interested in the Sword Technique and would agree with him.
The Bouvo closed his eyes, thinking about the offer. It did not take long for him to realize something. Even if he survived today, he would get killed in the next challenge. He knew the System wanted him dead.
"I will give you my memories, and you will learn it on your own, but I want something else."
Orlean was surprised that The Bouvo agreed to make the deal. Just like His Master told him, he could learn the sword technique by making a deal with the Bouvo instead of fighting the mountain demon.
"I am willing to listen."
The Bouvo closed his eyes once more and let out a sigh, "Save my tribe. I am not asking you to risk your life to save them, but if you can, I want you to save them. If you have the chance, I want you to save them. In exchange, I will share my memory of the technique with you."
Orlean furrowed his brow because the condition was much harder than sparing The Bouvo's life. He was not an independent being. Even if he wanted to, everything depended on his Master's decision. The Demon God had overstepped the line by agreeing to The Bouvo's life. He was wise enough to know not to make the same mistake.
"We agree to save your tribe if we have the chance," Tang Shaoyang answered on behalf of Orlean because of his curiosity, "And I think I might have the chance to save your people because I am an Executive Administrator."
He could not intervene in whatever happened inside the Dimensional Tower. It was out of the Administrator's jurisdiction. They could not intervene directly, but he could find information about The Bouvo Tribe and maybe find a way to save them.
"Then you have the deal!" The Bouvo did not hesitate to agree, sacrificing his life for a chance, a chance for his tribe's survival. It was worth it.
