The fire was burning strong as Thomas' skin and flesh melted under it, but he just shrugged it off and the fire went off. His burning skin and flesh healed, regenerating new flesh. Thomas glanced toward the frontier wall.
The Void Creatures managed to break the gate after his domain turned off the defensive enchantment. The three gates breached, and the void creatures poured into the frontier. That was the plan from the start, he planned to exhaust half of the resources in the frontier before using his domain to breach into the frontier with his domain.
The mage, the catapult, and the ballista could no longer shoot their elemental bomb, spells, and elemental bolts. His domain crippled the long-ranged attack, but he might not have enough energy to maintain his domain for too long, not when he had to fight as well.
Thomas gave a quick glance at Tang Shaoyang who remained unfazed even though he managed to turn off the fire on his body. He realized that he could not fight this man here, or else the commander of the frontier along with the commanders from the alliance army would gang up on him.
This reminded him when he fought his own son, he lured his son away from the frontier. His son followed him, setting up a one vs one battle before killing his own son. Mathias gave him a tough time back then, but not so hard for someone who had not fully grown yet.
Thomas Lysvand communicated with the void creatures, the strongest ones in his army. He directed them toward the four individuals around Tang Shaoyang while he retreated deeper into the void creature formation. The red-skinned Orc, The Fallen Angel, the woman with dragon bloodline, and the skeleton might cause him trouble, and he did not want to risk it. He wanted to kill them one by one instead of fighting them all at once.
Tang Shaoyang did not chase after Thomas immediately, "So, who wants to integrate with me?" He had tested his technique and worked. It was time to be serious, and he would not hold back this time.
"I would like to do it with you, but I think it's better if you integrate with Zara or Karan. You have integrated with them for the longest time, and you are more familiar with their ability," Avyn answered.
"Then we will keep away the void creatures from disturbing your fight," Vandir added.
"It would be better for you to integrate with Karan because of his domain." Zara let Karan have the honor of fighting the emperor alongside Tang Shaoyang because of the domain. Most of her ability was disabled because of the domain, but it was different for Karan who relied on his insanely physical ability, and Karan was the spirit with the most integration time with Tang Shaoyang as the first contracted spirit.
Karan agreed with a nod as he was recalled back for [Spirit Integration]. There was a red sheen on Tang Shaoyang's black scales, an indication that he was integrated with Karan. There was not much change in his appearance since he was already in his Dragon Transformation.
"Let's hope this emperor can give us a good fight, buddy."
With not many words, Tang Shaoyang chased after Thomas Lysvand. The void creatures made a path for him to follow the emperor, and he realized that this might be one of Thomas' ploys, but he still followed the emperor. Meanwhile, the void creatures jumped at his spirits, doing their best to block them from following him.
After making sure that he was at a safe distance from the frontier, Thomas stopped. The void creatures formed a circle, giving him a needed space to fight Tang Shaoyang. Tang Shaoyang was surprised that Thomas created an arena for the fight as he expected Thomas would use the void creatures to attack him.
By this time, the burning skin had been healed as if he had never been burnt before. Each of his hands was holding a similar sword instead of a shield this time.
"There would be no one to disturb our fight now," Thomas said with an eagerness in his tone. He regained his confidence when it came to one-against-one.
Right after that, his figure blurred into a shadowy blur and arrived in front of Tang Shaoyang. He swung all four swords toward Tang Shaoyang from two sides. To Thomas' surprise, Tang Shaoyang dropped his sword and lowered his body. He clenched his right hand into a fist as the same golden crimson fire lit up, shrouding his fist in flame.
Fourth Heavenly Gate - Heavenly Force: Heavenly Crushing Strike.
The screech of Heavenly Vermilion resounded as the fist hit Thomas' jaw and sent him to the sky. Tang Shaoyang then used the Second Heavenly Gate - Heavenly Step: Heavenly Ethereal Shift. His figure blinked and appeared right above the flying Thomas.
Instead of a fist, he opened his hand into a palm and followed with Heavenly Force - Heaven Shattering Palm. His palm was still on fire and landed the hit on Thomas' chest, sending the emperor to the ground with a boom.
Tang Shaoyang furrowed his brow as he felt a pain in his chest. He looked down to find two stab wounds as his blood came out from the wound. He did not see when the emperor stabbed him.
Thomas Lysvand back on his feet quickly, coughing and spitting the black blood in his mouth. He was surprised again by Tang Shaoyang, and he could tell that several of his ribs were broken. He touched his jaw and with a crack, he fixed his dislocated jaw.
"You always surprised me, but if this is all you get, then you should never dream of killing me."
Tang Shaoyang chuckled as he took out World Destroyer, his God Rank Battle-axe with regeneration and healing reduction traits. At the same time, his stab wound had long gone because the Void Energy was absorbed by him instead of poisoning him. His figure once more blurred and slammed the battle-axe toward Thomas.
The dust rose as a figure darted away from the cloud of dust. Thomas Lysvand avoided the strike, and Tang Shaoyang was chased after him. Thomas' eyes locked on the battle-axe as he felt an ominous feeling from the weapon.
"Is this the strongest Hurakan Commander in the history of the Hurakan Legion? You are quite good at running," Tang Shaoyang grinned while dragging the battle-axe.
Thomas Lysvand's figure blurred into several shadows, and Tang Shaoyang could not follow the emperor's movement. It seemed his words worked, but he was not worried because of his [Absolute Sense]. Then he sensed the danger coming from above, and he without hesitation swung his battle-axe upward.
Clank! Clank! Clank! Clank!
Thomas Lysvand used his four swords to block it, and he was sent above once more with the powerful strike. Again, he was surprised with how much force was behind the attack as he was overpowered in terms of physical strength as someone who underwent a void transformation and multiplied his stats.
When his domain turned off the skills and energy, it became a battle of experiences and pure strength. Thomas Lysvand was confident with both, he had been on the battlefield more than most people since he was young until he became part of the Void Cult. His body had been enhanced after staying in the Void Realm for years. Aside from the old monsters like Luminar, the King of the Hurakan Kingdom, he was confident in terms of stats. However, this unknown man kept pushing back.
He increased his speed further, but the man read his attack and movement. Using the oversized weapon, his enemy managed to parry his sword technique. Even though he managed to land a strike, the wound would be healed in the next ten seconds.
Thomas figured out that his enemy could not follow his speed, but his enemy still could read his movement, and they continued for half an hour. He managed to swing his swords a hundred times in a second, and yet his enemy blocked all the swords.
After the stalemate, Thomas Lysvand stopped and created a distance from Tang Shaoyang. He squinted his eight eyes, thinking that his enemy might be one of the old monsters instead of an unknown person.
"Who are you?" He could no longer hold his curiosity and asked.
Tang Shaoyang grinned, "That's it? Are you going to fight with your mouth now that your sword could not harm me?" He shook his head in disappointment, "I expected more from you, but you are a disappointment compared to something immortal emperor. He almost cut me in half with one strike, but…" He did not finish his words, shaking his head.
"You are the administrator Leon met!?" Thomas was surprised, his eight eyes widened in shock for a while. Then he smiled, "This is interesting. So what do you think about Leon's offer? Will you join us and kill a God? Isn't it exciting, killing a God?"
