He used the potion earlier because he still could feel the faint connection between him and Castor. That connection was cut off recently, meaning Castor was dead.
He closed Castor's eyes and stood up. "What happens?" His tone was flat, he did not have expression, but everyone on the scene could feel his rage through the aura.
Ira was breathing heavily, her chest was heaved up and down. She still could not proceed with the situation, and her head was in a mess as it happened so quickly that none of them could react. Her thoughts were jumbled and did not know where to start.
Khaya was the one who explained after noticing Ira's condition. "One of the Imperial Investigators came over to arrest us along with the soldiers from the Hurakan Legion. We don't know the actual situation, so we comply with the arrest. We were cooperating with them until the Imperial Investigator yelled "Calamity!" and attacked Castor. Then…"

Tang Shaoyang looked straight at the leader of the Imperial Investigator. "There's nothing to talk about, blood for blood!"

Calamity might be different from the Void Creature, but calamity was the by-product of void energy contamination to a living being. He felt a bad premonition as he looked at Tang Shaoyang, he did not know but his guts were telling him not to get in this Senior Administrator's way. However, he could not stand back and watch his subordinate getting attacked. He was forced to fight back if Tang Shaoyang tried to kill his subordinate.
Kenver was aware that Mein was using him, knowing he would not stand back when Tang Shaoyang attacked. He hated it, he cursed his own subordinate in his heart, but there was nothing he could do but to fight.
Tang Shaoyang summoned all his spirits, all of them but Zara. He used [Spirit Integration] with Zara. A new pair of black wings came out behind him, and his aura was mixed with the Death Aura from Zara. The terrifying aura got even more terrifying.
At the same time, Doombringer the Calamity Behemoth roared in excitement. It was the same for the calamity's spirits, roaring in excitement for the upcoming fight. Kenver admitted that he did not take the warning seriously, but he realized it now. The man might be on the same level as the Executive Administrator. This explained why the Battle King Soares died in the Senior Administrator's hand.
