Tang Shaoyang was surprised to summon a human spirit in this place, a place where void creatures were slaughtered. However, he forgot the fact that a lot of people also died in this place. The people who had been watching the Void Gate were the people from the Hurakan Kingdom. It was weird when he found out that a faction, the Hurakan Kingdom, volunteered to watch over the Void Gate, using all their resources to focus on guarding the Void Gate with little benefit. He was curious about the kingdom, but of course that was not on top of his priority, maybe a chat over a meal with Ira would satisfy his curiosity.
Tang Shaoyang focused back on the spirit, and the latter was watching the surroundings in shock. It seemed Nikolas just realized that they were right below the Void Gate as his blues locked on the torn space above him.
"I am not bringing you back alive, but I bring you back as a spirit."
Only then did Nikolas' attention back on Tang Shaoyang. He could see the frown behind the helmet with his Chaos Eyes. "You should know about Spirit Contractor Class, right? That's how I bring you back. Now you have two choices, form a contract with me or be sacrificed or I can beat you to force the contract."
"Buahahahaha…" Nikolas laughed when he heard the last part. When he heard Spirit Contractor, he was ready to form the contract but he changed his mind when he heard the last part. His laughter stopped abruptly. "And I want to see how you are going to beat me! Kid this day is rude, and I have to educate you on how to act in front of your elders."
Tang Shaoyang smiled, amused by Nikolas' claim. "I want to beat you myself, but my spirit is eager to have a fight with you. I don't have much time to entertain you anyway because I need to summon one more spirit."
As he said that, all his spirits gathered, and surrounded the newly summoned spirit. Zara and Avyn should be enough to handle the spirit, but it seemed like the other spirits were excited about beating the new spirit. They learned the word from him, an orientation for a new spirit.
Seventy-five Archaic Spirits against one Mythical Spirit. The result was obvious, Nikolas was beaten without being able to fight back. In less than a minute, the former commander was on the ground, covering his head with his hands, enduring the beating.
Tang Shaoyang squatted next to the defeated spirit, clearly the beating got into Nikolas' head. The embarrassment and the realization that he was not as strong as he thought he would be.
"How is it? Are you still going to educate me? I think the ancient people should know more than me that the strong would get the respect they deserve." Tang Shaoyang was amused to see the man's expression behind the helmet.
"It's not a fair fight. Fight me one by one!" Nikolas raised his head and remained stubborn. "Even the Emperor of the Void Cult took months to kill me. You can't be stronger than The Genesis Emperor!!"
"The Genesis Emperor!?" Tang Shaoyang furrowed his brow. There were three emperors, and he only knew one of them, and he forgot the name because it was too long.
Nikolas' blue eyes widened in shock that the young man in front of him did not know The Genesis Emperor. "He is the person who built The Void Cult, the person who leads The Void Cult unless… My people have killed him."
"Maybe and maybe not, I don't know. There are three emperors now leading the Void Cult, and maybe he is still alive, and one of the three emperors that I don't know the name of. We are getting sidetracked, and let's focus on the matter at hand now. We will establish the contract since I have beaten you!" Tang Shaoyang was about to form a contract, but Nikolas immediately stood up and jumped away from Tang Shaoyang.
"Beat me in a fight kid, then I will accept the contract! Fight me fair and square! Even The Genesis Emperor fought me fair and square, you and me!"
Tang Shaoyang cracked into a chuckle. "There's no such thing as a fair fight. They are my spirits, and they are part of me. Are you telling me not to use my ability to fight you? You want a handicap?"
Nikolas froze and could not refute the young man. Before he could say anything, his body turned into an orb as a stronger connection was established between him and the kid. That was when he realized that the contract was established. That was because he was beaten by the other spirits earlier.

"Can you give me your share of loot, Kaiser? You can get those void creature corpses instead." Tang Shaoyang pointed to the piling corpses nearing the wall. The Hurakan Legion did not have a use for these bodies. He needed the Skelly Family's loot to summon the Archaic Spirit instead of another Mythical Spirit.
"And you can scavenge more bodies inside this wall. There are many void creatures that go to the other side wall as well. I will ask Commander Edson and let you take those instead."
Kaiser consulted with Skelly1, and they agreed with it with the condition that they took some special void creature that was stronger than the others. He easily agreed with the request and used the remaining void creatures for the second summoning.
[Hey! This is unfair. You are forcing a contract without my consent. This is inhumane! You can't do this to me, one of the famous commanders from the Hurakan Kingdom!]
"This is not inhumane because you are no longer human, you are a spirit!" That silenced Nikolas, another in his wound after the beating. He forgot that he was no longer a human.
[But I am a human spirit!]
"Shhh! Quiet and watch, maybe you will meet one of your old friends at my next summoning!"
A similar black storm raged, and a humanoid figure in the same black armor stood in the center of the storm. It was a similar posture to Nikolas, but they had a different weapon in hand. This spirit held a halberd instead of a sword.
