He still didn’t know why the Ash Walker he killed earlier had been so sluggish despite its high level, but he wasn’t about to bet his life on luck or speculation.
Without hesitation, he decisively chose to upgrade his level.

The thought flashed in his mind but he instantly dismissed it.
He knew it was only the side effect of sudden strength. He couldn’t afford carelessness.
He tightened his grip on his knife. The blade was crooked and blunt from his previous battles, but it was still better than fighting barehanded.
Even though he was immune to infection, there was no reason to take unnecessary risks.
Those who knew Aron in the past, the man who traded trillions, who took risks no one else dared, who had even been called a madman, would be shocked at how careful and cautious he was.
But Aron thought differently. To others, his actions had seemed like reckless risks and luck. But to him, they were only discipline and mindset.
He never made a trade below eighty percent certainty. Win or lose, he only placed one trade a day with not so bad risk management.

As the first zombie reached the third floor, Aron stood at the high ground, gripping the corpse of the Ash Walker, the very landlord who had once owned this building. He looked down at the clumsy zombies climbing toward him, his expression calm.
Seizing the moment, he hurled the corpse down the stairs with both hands.
At the same time, he leapt forward, driving a brutal kick into the falling body. The impact crashed into the group, scattering them violently down the stairs.
Aron didn’t waste a breath. He followed like a shadow.
Before the scattered zombies could even begin crawling back up, he had already driven the blade into four skulls, piercing through their eyes and brains with ruthless precision.
