Couldn't she even take a bath before confronting him? Henry shrugged and plopped himself on the bed.
"Don't you dare ignore me Henry!" Kathleen was really angry this time.
"I've been putting up with your stupid behavior for sometime now. What do you take me for?" Her eyes were getting red. She was trying to hold back her tears.
"Continue putting up with it then." Henry shrugged.
"What? What did you say?" Kathleen fumed. Was that what he was going to tell her? This fool...
"I said what you heard. And I don't think you have hearing issues, Kathleen." Henry murmured quietly.
"Really? You are a bastard Henry! A big one at that. Fucking me and thinking about your little slut?" Tears cascaded her cheeks rapidly.
She felt cheap... How couldn't she compare to Quinn in his eyes? She was rich... She could offer him all he wanted.
Then??..
"Hey, I want to rest. I fucked you as you wished. So can I sleep now?" Henry switched off the lights and closed his eyes.
"You know what? You are just so obsessed with that whore. Sleep all you want. I will be heading to the guest room." She couldn't spend one more minute beside him. He was driving her crazy..
Immediately the door shut close, Henry opened his eyes and smiled.
At least he can finally have some peace.

The next morning dawned bright and clear. Quinn woke up beside her daughter's hospital bed. Emelda had been responding to treatment making her mother ease up a little. She was going to be discharged today in fact...
Sensing her mother's movement, Emelda opened her eyes.
"Good morning my love. Did you sleep well?" Quinn smiled at her daughter.
"Good morning mum. I slept well, I also dreamt about you." Emelda smiled back at her mother. For the past few days,she could see that her mother was sad... And she knew it was all because of her.
So,she tried her best to always wear a bright smile. Though she was in pain,she didn't want to increase her beautiful mother's worries.
"Am I really getting discharged today?" Emelda asked hopefully. She couldn't wait to leave the hospital.
Quinn couldn't help but laugh at her daughter's excitement. Did she really want to leave the hospital so bad?
"Of course, sweetheart. You are getting discharged today." Quinn ruffled her daughter's hair dotingly.
"Hurray!!!" Emelda jumped up and down the bed excitedly.
Seeing this,Quinn chuckled.. This little pumpkin...
The doctor came in at that moment.. Seeing the mother-daughter duo,he smiled.
He checked her pulse and pronounced her okay.
"Miss Quinn, remember what I told you... I must however commend your daughter. She's a brave kid with a strong determination to live." He left the ward.
Quinn hugged her daughter with teary eyes.
She couldn't allow anything to happen to her... She was her life; she was her strongest motivation to keep living...
Emelda could feel her mother's emotions from the hug. She was a smart kid...
"Mum... Don't worry, nothing will happen to me. I promise." She held up her pinky to make a promise...
Quinn hooked hers with her daughter's...
"Of course I know. Let's wait for your father. He will be here soon..." Quinn chuckled.
Emelda turned to carry her iPad and soon,she was immersed in the game she was playing.

Stephen arrived after a while and Emelda was discharged. On their way to the car,he received a call. His expression changed after he hung up.
Quinn looked at him, "An emergency?" She asked.
"Yes, I'm sorry." He was sad at not being able to accompany them home.
"It's fine. Go ahead." She smiled to assure him she wasn't offended in the least.
"I have to leave right now. You can drive in my car. I will meet you at home." Stephen hugged both of them and hurried off.
"Let's go baby girl." Holding her daughter's hand,they headed towards the car.

Kathleen's personal assistant was about to head into the hospital when 'he' whirled around. 'He' was sure 'he' just saw someone who looked like Quinn.
Was 'he' hallucinating?
'He' looked again,and truly,the person about to enter her car was Quinn.
What was she doing here in California? And with a child too?
'He' pulled out 'his' phone at that spot. 'He' needed to inform Kathleen.
'He' was initially here for a medical test as 'he' wasn't feeling so well. And then he discovered this...
After a few rings, Kathleen picked up the phone.
"President, I think I just saw Quinn. She just left the hospital.. And with a child too." 'He' reported.
At the other end of the line, Kathleen was silent as she narrowed her eyes.
"A boy or a girl?" She inquired.
Was that slut really back??
The assistant was confused when she heard the question. But 'he' soon understood and immediately answered,
"A girl, President."
"Got it. Hurry up with the test and come over to Henry's place. He isn't around,so you don't have to be cautious." Kathleen ordered in a calm voice.
"I understand President." Out of habit, "he' bowed even though Kathleen wasn't there with 'him'.

Back at Henry's house, Kathleen slowly put down the phone. She was doubly annoyed this time.
Didn't she pay Quinn a huge amount of money to prevent her from coming back to California?
Wait ....
What if Henry already met with her?
And her assistant mentioned her leaving the hospital with her daughter. Is it possible?....
No, it wasn't possible...
Considering Quinn's personality,if the child was truly Henry's own,she would have damned the consequences and came back a long time ago.
"Aaaahh..." She groaned in frustration. Both of them were seriously driving her crazy...
Her tummy rumbled a little; she was hungry.
She headed to the kitchen to whip up something for herself... She wasn't going to starve herself because of a slut.. She was going to eat first,and then await her assistant's arrival.
He needed to conduct some investigations...
