Indeed, another lesson learned!
Even though I knew the streets were chaotic, with Zero-Dollar Purchase and petty theft rampant, I had locked my bike securely not far from the pawnshop, in a crowded spot.
Yet, after a short while inside, even the wheels were gone?
How am I supposed to explain this to Simone?
Allen Zhang felt pretty bad.
I guess you really can’t use a bike as transportation on the streets; no one watches it and it’s too easily stolen, with nowhere to seek justice.
I was actually considering getting a vehicle, but now that’s out of the window.
Allen Zhang calmed down.
Spotting several homeless men holding paper cups and drinking nearby, he walked over and greeted them, “Hey!
Guys, I want to ask you something, did you see a bike parked around here?”
The homeless men looked at him in surprise, “Your bike got stolen?”
“Yes, it was my friend’s bike that I borrowed, but it got lock-picked and stolen.
I really need to get it back, otherwise I can’t imagine how to face my friend,” Allen Zhang replied helplessly.
“Don’t worry, buddy, we happen to know some information.” When God closes a door, he opens a window, the homeless men replied warmly.
Exchanging glances, one of the white homeless men with greasy hair and a beard, wearing thick clothes, drank up his beverage and then extended his cup to Allen Zhang.
The meaning of begging was clear.
“Even though we regret helping you this way, we haven’t eaten today.
For God’s sake, give us something.”
“Of course, as long as you can provide valuable clues.” Allen Zhang pulled out several 5-dollar bills from his pocket, chose to avert a disaster by losing money, and generously said, “This is for you guys.”
“Buddy, isn’t this a bit too little?
I mean, you shouldn’t have just this little money.”
Unexpectedly, these homeless men were hungry for more, just laughing at the sight of the few 5-dollar bills in Allen Zhang’s hand.
Allen Zhang frowned slightly, too little?

Buddy, you just came out of the pawnshop, we all saw!” The group of people then started to urge him to shell out more money for the information.

“20 dollars, 20 dollars each!” The homeless man directly demanded a high fee.
Allen Zhang immediately pocketed the money after hearing this, 20 each?
I might as well buy another bike.
Smiling at them, “You’re not the usual homeless eh?
Often wandering this street?
Is this your territory?”
The white homeless man shrugged and spread his hands, “We’re somewhat influential on this street thanks to our friends, indeed.
But we can’t compare to a real gang; we are law-abiding citizens.”
Allen Zhang’s smile faded, he rolled up his sleeves, and slowly said, “I intended to interact with you as an ordinary person, but instead I was met with fraud and extortion.”
I’m done pretending, I’m laying my cards on the table, I’m also from the streets.
“Guys, let’s handle this more straightforwardly.
I give you two choices!”
Allen Zhang held up one finger, “One, immediately let your old acquaintance, or whatever collaboration team, return my bike exactly as it was.”
Only one of us can stand here!
You can gang up or come at me one by one, I’ll beat the shit out of you and then stuff you into it!!”
A few homeless men looked at each other upon hearing this, and immediately denied: “Buddy, I don’t understand what you’re talking about.
Weren’t you asking about a bicycle?
We didn’t steal your bike, this has nothing to do with us.”
“Oh my God, I was going to help you, but your attitude is just too bad.” Shaking their heads, they turned and walked away.
Allen Zhang followed them immediately.
“Buddy, why are you still following us?”
Halfway down the street, the homeless men turned into an alley, visibly annoyed with Allen Zhang.
There were many people on the street, even some police officers passing by, so they didn’t want to cause trouble and draw unnecessary attention.
But now that they were in a lesser crowded area and on their turf, the group stopped pretending and surrounded him.
Glaring with anger, one of them put his hand inside his jacket, “Can’t you understand human speech?
Or do you not have any sense of rules?
If you lost your bike, you should find that damn broken bike yourself!!
Are you trying to start trouble?”
“Tch.” Allen Zhang was slightly irritated by his tone.
With a feigned hand movement to attract attention, he turned back and slapped the guy across his face with a loud smack.
The man was knocked sideways as if hit by a train, hitting the wall and crumbling.
A black object fell to the ground.
Allen Zhang quickly picked up the equipment, aimed the gun back at them, and cursed loudly: “What are you being cocky about?
Stand up and fight me one-on-one!”
The homeless man sat on the ground, dazed, with a bloody nose and half of his face rapidly swelling, looking around bewildered.
The others nearby were stunned by this scene.
They froze in place, not daring to jeer or threaten him anymore.
It was lost on your turf, you guys are responsible!”
The black gun body with two red magazine release buttons very conspicuous.
Allen Zhang tried to eject the bullet but realized there were no bullets, the grip felt wrong, the magazine felt light, it was a fake BB gun made to scare people.
He threw it against the wall, shattering it as parts flew everywhere.
“Either return my bike, or I will break your legs right now, strap you to a wheelchair, and have you beg on the streets until you can afford a new one!”
Allen Zhang spoke threateningly, “My name is Hanberger Juan Jin.”
“Are you Juan Jin from Lori Louis 19?” The homeless men were immediately terrified.
Clearly, they had heard about him during this time, an Asian who can fight brutally, someone who crushed the testicles of a neighboring homeless man, Black, and his fame had spread throughout the local homeless community.
He was someone you’d avoid if you saw him!
You simply couldn’t beat him in a fight for a can.
Shit, how did they not realize it?
No wonder he was so bold.
They really hit a brick wall!!
“We’ll return your bike straight away.”
The homeless man immediately caved and acknowledged it was their doing.
He quickly took out his cell phone to message another group to bring the bike to a street alley.
Might is right sometimes.
Allen Zhang’s expression softened a lot.
If possible, he didn’t really want to fight and brawl every day, teaching people to be good with a few hard punches.
But it’s the way things are.
If you don’t leave a deep impression when others try to walk all over you, they’ll think you’re easy to bully!
