America: Starting with Daily Intelligence Chapter 31

31: Chapter 31 Street Fight 31: Chapter 31 Street Fight Allen Zhang pondered, “Which street are those guys who beat you up and stole your money from? Don’t worry, I’ll help you get your turf back. The first ones I’m going after are them!!” Dominic immediately started snitching and complained that they liked to bully other homeless people on a regular basis. Allen Zhang nodded, memorizing the location of those two streets and the name of a black man named Kobe who extorted Dominic. You dare call yourself Kobe? You think you’re worthy of a big shot’s name? Let’s see how tough you really are. Back with the group, Allen Zhang also instructed Sieg with an introduction: “Sieg, this is Dominic. He’s been on the streets for two and a half years and is very experienced in this regard. You can ask him anything you want to know, and he’ll also take you to the Green Word Shelter to get some basic supplies.” “Dominic, Sieg is our new team member! From now on, a member of our Scavenger team and also a former serviceman.” The two immediately greeted each other in a friendly manner. Sieg thought the kid was too pretty, like a woman, would have definitely been a disaster in the military, a knockout for both men and women. But it’s obviously even harder to survive in the harsh environment of the streets. “Dominic, take these flowers and this bottle of red wine to Rena and say they’re from me. After all, we can’t bother her every time we bring in a newcomer. Bring my stuff back to camp too, and we’ll meet at Bridge No. Allen Zhang handed over all his belongings to Dominic for safekeeping and felt much lighter without the burden. He spent 7 dollars at the convenience store next door for a sturdy and durable baseball bat and half a pair of gloves, rolled up his sleeves, and was ready to go reclaim his turf fiercely. “Do you need my help?” Sieg asked quickly, seeing Allen Zhang’s demeanor. “No need, I can go by myself. It might not even come to a fight; I’m always someone who likes to reason! If you guys come along, with more people, it’ll just be a mess.” Allen Zhang waved his hand and declined Sieg’s offer. Sieg felt a bit disgruntled, “Don’t underestimate me, I’m a retired Marine Corps captain, after all.” Allen Zhang glanced at the bump on his forehead and the band-aid on it but said nothing. The implication was clear. You get your head busted with a beer bottle, and you still boast about being a captain in the Marine Corps. White guys are just less tough. Sieg awkwardly said: “Okay, hand-to-hand combat isn’t my strong suit. But that’s because I don’t want to hurt people, and I’ve hardly ever had a full meal out here, simply no energy for fighting.” “You don’t need to explain, I get it.” Allen Zhang consoled with a word, saving his face. Seeing Sieg was still being stubborn, Allen Zhang clenched his fist and threw out a big talk, “Don’t worry about me. I practice Mixed Martial Arts. A punch from me has the force of 350 kilograms! A kick can reach nearly 500 kilograms!” “Then go ahead, but take it easy on them.” Sieg immediately replied in a honest and obedient manner. Talking about lethal weapons, bare-knuckle street fighting, Allen Zhang could beat him half to death with a punch! A kick could fracture his leg bones. Add a step-in side kick, and Brazilian capoeira would get their heads kicked in, their cardiopulmonary functions punctured through. Didn’t you notice Allen Zhang would rather buy a stick than use his fists? And he thoughtfully bought some motorcycle gloves. Do you think he’s doing this just to protect himself? It’s actually more about protecting the enemy. Street fighting with bare fists can kill! The scene is incredibly brutal, and blood spatters everywhere. A punch might only slightly fracture his fingers, but you’d definitely be dead. When you see someone on the street with their body turned sideways in a fighting stance, bouncing and dodging towards you, don’t turn around! With one punch, they can send you straight to your great-grandma!! Allen Zhang gave a nod to Dominic and his group, and they went their separate ways, each to their own tasks, with Allen carrying a baseball bat and going door to door to collect debts. First, he headed to Black Kobe’s turf. Few shops lined the street, and the pedestrian traffic was sparse. It might’ve once been a hot spot for Zero-Dollar Purchases, but most businesses had moved out after being unable to stay afloat. From afar, he saw a group of older Black people shoving around an elderly homeless man. They dragged the contents out of his shopping cart and scattered them on the ground; after robbing him of his money, they were still not satisfied, and they intended to drag him into an alley to mess with him further. Allen Zhang locked onto his target and approached, tapping his baseball bat against the wall to draw attention from the group. The Black guys turned to see an Asian guy wearing sunglasses, a champion hoodie, a dk denim jacket, with sleeves rolled up, holding a baseball stick, and wearing half-finger gloves. “Which one of you is Kobe!?” Allen Zhang jumped straight to the point and began “ordering.” The Black guys exchanged glances. The small Black kid who was straddling the homeless man and pulling down his pants stood up. He was slim and about 185 cm tall, wearing a purple Lakers No. Allen Zhang couldn’t help but laugh. You think you’re the big man in the joint? What do you want with me?” Kobe Loier George looked displeased at Allen Zhang and waved him off, “Get lost, okay? Buddy, we’re in the middle of something! We don’t want any trouble with you, and you shouldn’t be looking for trouble with us! You one of those street rats, huh? Best learn some respect!” The white old man lying on the ground with half his butt showing quickly got up and pulled his pants on. Looking at Allen Zhang with a plea, “Call the police, please! They’re about to do bad things to me! I’m going to die here!” “You lot are worse than animals, not even sparing an old man.” Allen Zhang frowned deeply, feeling nauseous. These young Black kids really weren’t picky eaters. Anything turns into a puff pastry for them? Their menu’s almost as varied as the Indians’. Staring at the Black guys with a menacing look, “My name is Hanberger Juan Jin, and my friend’s name is Dominic. Was it you who bullied my friend? Stole 20 US Dollars from him?” That really pretty white boy? The one protected by Lori?” They seemed surprised. Kobe spoke bluntly, “Yes, that was us. You wanting a fight or what, buddy? Since you’re here, don’t think you’re leaving easily!” Saying this, he instructed the Black guys to block the alley entrance. Kobe, standing half a head taller than Allen Zhang, glared down at him with dilated eyes and flared nostrils, his eyes bloodshot and spewing trash, “Fxxk you! This is my turf, get it? Today, I’m going to show you how tough I am! If I don’t make you unable to walk, you won’t understand my power!” Allen Zhang just laughed. “Wow, f**k your horse.” A concise and powerful idiom. As Kobe looked at him in astonishment, Allen Zhang threw a lead jab that electrified onto his chin, like being hammered in the face, utterly destructive! A crack sounded as something broke, and Kobe went rigid on the spot. Ears ringing, eyes rolling back, he fell diagonally, face down on the ground, breaking two front teeth, sleeping like a baby with perfect peace. He collapsed spinelessly on the ground, a pile of mush, like an invertebrate. Allen Zhang clenched his fist once, stepped over him without effort, taking the baseball bat and rushing forward. A hit from the bat landed on the stunned Black kid’s knee, snapping the bat instantly. The kid let out a pig-like screech, clenching his leg and rolling on the ground in agony.
