THE NEW DECISION : JEALOUSY
At the end of the day, Laura was tired as usual after going through a lot of paperwork's and revising them also, she didn't have time to have lunch except for the coffee that was brought in by her maid. She decided to retire to bed but she still left her door opened just in case Axel finally showed up, no matter how tired she might be, she still provided some time for him and she has decided to choose him as her mate after everything calms down.
She removed her clothes, went into the bathtub and relaxed her body into the warm water, just what she needed to stretch her bones out, her wolf had been begging her to let her out because she wants to go on a run but she just didn't have the time and she is trying to prove to some people she can do it.
She came out of the bathroom, walking to the closet she took out her nightwear, just then Axel walked in, with a smile on his face "baby, how was your day" he pulled her into an embrace before kissing her forehead.
"Hectic as usual but at least I survived another day" she tied her hair in a messy bun.
"That is the spirit" he encouraged.
"Tell me how was your day too" she asked him.
"Just the usual inspection and training" he answered with a yawn.
"You seem stressed out, should I give you some massage".
Axel chuckled "I should be the one asking you that too because I know you are tired".
"Fine, no one is giving anyone massage" she declared.
"Yes alpha" he teased making her hit him playfully on his back.
"Do you want to shower here or you want to go to your room" .
"Let me just stay here for a while and I will be going to my room after, I don't want people seeing me sleeping in the Alpha's room".
"I don't care about all that and you know" she answered.
"I won't put your reputation on the line Laura" he held her hands "I am lucky to have you fall in love with me".
"You won't be saying that when you find your mate" she wasn't ready for the heart break of him leaving her but she needs to be prepared.
"I don't think I will ever find my mate and I know for sure that you own my heart".
"Thank you" She was touched by his words.
"Now, let's get you to bed so I can cuddle you to sleep" he said removing his boots and leading her to her queen sized bed.
"I really need some cuddling" she giggled as she lay on the bed with Axel beside her.
Unknown to them, Cora was outside her door listening to their conversations, her knuckles white from squeezing her hands so much, she doesn't understand what Axel saw in her that she doesn't have, she went to the extent of confessing her feelings for him today on their training ground but he turned her down telling her how much he is in love with Laura, he has even promised not to tell Laura if she won't do it again, liked she cares.
She knew her father and some members want to remove her from being the alpha and she can't wait to see the look in her face when she turns a regular person, maybe Axel will come to her begging since she will still be the Beta's daughter. "Enjoy it while it lasts Laura." she murmured before walking away to her room.
The following morning, Laura woke up to an empty side of the bed which meant Axel must have left when she fell asleep "Good morning Alpha, beta Lorenzo is here to see you".
She grunted, why must it be his face she had to see first every morning, he is full of bad news. "Okay, tell him I will be out soon" she told the maid who nodded and left.
She quickly wore a dress so she won't delay the impatient beta that awaits her "Good morning Lorenzo".
"The morning will only be good if you have thought about what we said yesterday".
"Thought I gave my reply yesterday" she stood her ground.
"Your title is at stake if you don't agree to what the members wants."
Laura knew something was up with the way they were all acting suspicious "this is my birthright Lorenzo and no one can threaten me with it".
"You are a female and a female don't deserve to be an alpha" Lorenzo said in disgust.
"Are you saying I don't deserve to be the alpha" she challenged looking him straight in the eyes.
" I Have tried my best and since you refused, another alpha will be introduced soon".
"Hell be damned, if I let someone else sit on my father's throne" she said.
Lorenzo shook his head and walked out of her, he doesn't understand why she was proving stubborn just like her father. He grimaced.
"So father, when are you removing her from being the alpha" his daughter Cora asked him as he entered into his chamber.
"Soon dear" he knew of his daughter's hatred for her.
"She is too proud just because she is the alpha, I can't wait for her to be ripped off her titles" she laughed wickedly.
"We will be making the former alpha of black moon pack our new Alpha" he announced.
"Hope he will do according to our bidding" she questioned her father.
"He doesn't have a choice, we are the one making him an alpha".
"Let me go, sympathize with Laura" she laughed.
"I don't want to be on your bad side" her father joked.
"Common father, I only take after you" she replied leaving the room.
Laura decided to go for a run today since her wolf wasn't having it with her again, she walked into the forest with some spare clothes, she secured them at the back of a tree and then shift, finally she could feel her paws on the floor and smelt the fresh air "thank you" her wolf Claudia said.
"No problem, we both need it" she replied as she sprinted into the forest.
Her wolf was howling happily in her head until they caught scent of something "Someone is coming" her wolf warned her.
She sniffed the air and knew instantly the person is not a member of her pack, she became alerted, she is an alpha and won't back down now, she knew it was something stupid to do, she should mind-link some of her warriors to come help her.
The person came out to where she was, making her growl at him, the person wasn't listening to her but rather staring at her amused with a smirk on his face. She ran to where she kept her clothes before she shifted back, hurriedly threw her clothes in and went back to where she left him "why are you here in my territory" she growled angrily, she doesn't like the way he was staring at her.
"You must be Alpha Laura" he said like they have met before.
"What's is your business here".
"I am Jacob and I am going to be the new alpha of this pack".
Laura was stunned "what do you mean by the new alpha of this pack".
"My bad, I thought you knew already, Lorenzo must have forgotten to inform you".
"Jacob or whatever you call your name, I am the alpha of this pack and I won't have someone like you take it away from me" she snarled.
Jacob admired the lady before him, she is beautiful and obviously intelligent, he wondered why they want to remove her and put him but he knew he have to play along with what the members want.
"You can take that up with Lorenzo after I finished talking to him" he answered and walked away.
Laura stood still at one spot shocked, they have everything planned out, they were going to take her title from her and she doesn't know what she is going to do, she fell on her knees as water began to drop from her eyes "father, why do you have to die, why is this happening to me" she cried.
Her wolf was quiet and she knew she must be sad too because they were going to make her a figurehead in the pack.
After some hours alone in the forest, she wiped her eyes, dusted her clothes and decided to go back to the pack house, people were looking at her with pity as she passed by which meant they must have heard the news but she didn't let it affect her as she doesn't want to look weak before them.
She opened the door to the ark office and met Lorenzo and Jacob in a conversation "there you are Laura" Lorenzo acknowledge her.
She noticed how he has remove the alpha title from her name but kept quiet and took a seat nodding her head "this is alpha Jacob" Lorenzo continued.
"No need for introduction, we already met before".
"I see, he will be the new alpha of this pack" he declared.
