I was torn.
I was absolutely, positively, honestly torn between the two men.
It was no lie that what I feel towards the two are the same yet different, it was beginning to frustrate me.
Sure one of them brought out the best of me while the other taught me to be the best version of myself.
Yes, one of them makes me happy and feel safe, while the other is my contentment and safe haven in itself.
And there's love…
One loves me for who I am, for the soul that locks me to him.
While the other loves me for what he can see at me, for the body that once belonged to his wife.
How can I choose between them when they both have a piece of my heart?
I groaned and dropped my head to my desk.
Currently, I am at home and have asked for my one-month leave.
Not that I wanted to seek a vacation but I needed to get away…
After the incident at the hospital, I have been having a lot of episodes of recollection and my memories were becoming as vivid and realistic as if it just happened yesterday.
Though, what really hit me every day I have my recalls was the fact that it's not just the memories that are back but also the feelings; my feelings towards the Alpha King.
So torn…
As a result, and for the sake of my sanity and fragile heart, I decided to have my break — both from work and the men's presence.
Theo, I know annoyed by my reasons, still respected my decision and it was a fortunate thing for him because the last time I heard, he will be on a business trip — he didn't need the extra stress coming from me.
So, with a heavy heart — as he said, he left this morning.
As for Mikee, well he's the stubborn one.
He keeps on asking me to come to the hotel, so we could talk things out. It does make me question if he understands the word ‘space’ and ‘time’.
I don't even know if he knows the meaning of it…
It was understandable that this distance makes his wolf, which I learned was named was Bear, ansty resulting in him being cranky as well.
He even became the worst guest at the resort, the most hot-headed, and snaps at even the simplest of things, making my colleagues call me in the middle of the night to come to the establishment just to calm him down.
Poor people.
Nevertheless, it added to my list of issues…
Why can't he just leave me alone for just a bit because I am on the verge of actually choosing him over Theo?

I groaned again and this time, I felt a crowd of presence inside my room. I turn around and found the girls, with my brothers clinging to their waist, entering my space.
“Hi, cheeky boo.” Seth greeted and I fake a smile.
“Hi.” I croaked.
“How have you been, Flower?” Axel asks and I could only scoff.
“I have better days.”
The boys frowned while the girls started walking my way.
“Have you been… crying?” Rain gently asks as she touched my tear-strained cheeks.
When I sniff, trying to fight another set of tears, she didn't think twice and jerked my head to rest on her now swollen belly.
Pregnancy with the mixed race is fast, same with the werewolves. So I am going to be an aunt soon.
I'm expecting twins, two boys, from Rain and Seth. While another boy from Axel and Zinnia. As for Howard and Yvette, a precious girl.
“When will be your due date?” I asked, trying to distract myself from my sorrow.
Rain smiles at me, seeing where I was going, and says, “December 1st.”
“I'll be on the 9th,” Yvette answers while Zinnia beams while announcing, “December 24th!”
I chuckle.
“Good luck then, I guess.”
The girls kissed me to the cheeks and then, just like that, the atmosphere became serious.
“Seriously speaking though, Hailey. What got you sulking like this? We don't want to see you like this, it's making us restless.” Howard inquiries, his face twisted into a mix of trouble and worry.
“I am not — ”
“Acee,” Yvette cuts me off while squinting her eyes at me, “you've been here, in this room, for three days now.”
“Yeah Ace, you never ONCE left this room.” Zinnia frowns, “we worry for you so I hope you hear us out before you react to anything we say to you now.”
I bit my lip and just like a good kid, I motion for them to reprimand me — in a tag team way.
“Who done it this time, Boo?” Rain asks, her tone of encouragement to speak up was there.
“Is it Theo? If you want, we could give him that beating that would bring a sense of enlightenment for hurting you like that.” Seth growls and I could only chuckle a little.
“Or maybe it was that dog, Flower. I don't care if he's your mate or not, but I will make sure he will not come close to you if that is what you want.”
I shook my head at them, making them confused.
“I don't even know.” I mumble, “both men… they infuriate me to my limit, make me laugh to no end, makes me happy but I can't seem to choose between them.” I sigh before proceeding, “I know it's selfish of me if I say I want both of them but I can't find it in me to even let go of one. Ugh! I'm screwed!”
I dropped my head to my desk once again.
“Why is this life so hard?” I added and I heard some of the group chuckles.
“You know what, you just needed a night out with us.” Rain suggested and Seth growls.
“I don't think that's a good idea baby, especially when your this pregnant,” Seth stated while tightening his hold on Rain's belly.
Rain smacked Seth's head.
“Ow!” Seth winced while touching his head.
“I mean going shopping for baby stuff, not to drink, you idiot!”
“I'm sorry, baby. I didn't mean to — ”
And smack, followed by another ‘Ow’ and a scold.
I giggled.
One thing you should not do with pregnant women is to make them mad, or you'll get it — HARD.
“I think you should get ready now, Acee,” Yvette stated and with a kiss on my cheeks, she left.
Howard follows.
Zinnia and Axel did the same and I was left with a bantering Rain and a whimpering Seth.
Yeah, this is life.… I always wanted.
One hour later
“Oh, let's get that one!” Rain squeals as she drags an already tired Seth to one of the cribs section of the department store.
The two girls did the same and I couldn't help but giggle as I heard the men protest and be smack in the head by their very pregnant REDs after.
It does make me imagine at a point, where I became married to the man I love and be pregnant with his baby.
Would our life be like this?
Going shopping for baby stuff when the baby's due is near nor go for walks to get that needed exercise?
Or how about if I got into one of those mood swings?
Would he handles it well nor explodes with me since he's that hot-headed too?
I abruptly felt my cheeks burned as I realized that, when I was thinking about all of those things, it was the Alpha King that I was daydreaming to be with and doing all of that stuff.

I shook my head and was ready to leave the store to cool down when I felt that tingles from before.
I knew all too well who was this…
I turned and just in time for Mikee to stand in front of me.
“You have been avoiding me, Nalaese Marie,” he growls and I could only glare at his attitude.
Stupid hot-headed man.
“Leave me alone, Michael Angelo. I wanted to be alone.” I snapped and he growls again.
“I only asked for one date, Nala. ONE date.”
“Well guess what, Mikee, I said NO and I will keep saying NO until you get that stuck inside your brain.” I turn and was quick to notice that my siblings with their wives were gone.
Shit!
Where the hell are they?
“I asked them to leave.” I heard Mikee said and I snapped my head in his direction.
“You what!”
He only shrugs his shoulders and almost an amused smile found its way to his face.
“I wanted to date you, is that too hard to ask?”
Oh, I'm gonna punch him.
“Why can't you just leave me alone, huh Mikee?” I asked through clenched teeth.
“Well, duh, you're my mate.” he simply stated and I glare at him.
“That's not what I meant,” I said and he snorted.
“Sure it's not, but it's all that matters. Now come on,” he grabbed my hand and tugged me close to him, “before the movie, I just so happen to book today, starts.”
“Movie?” I asked as we started to walk towards the direction of the cinema.
Mikee nodded.
“Yeah, we'll be watching the Avengers; Endgame,” he stated and my steps faltered.

Way!
I have been wanting to see that movie for so long.
Since I was so busy with work, and no fellow Avenger fans at the hotel, I can't find myself the free time to go and the companion to watch it with.
And now here I am, with Mikee, doing it…
Mikee noticed my abrupt pause and turn to look at me.
I almost hit his chest when he suddenly stops in front of me.
“What? You don't like it?” he asks.
I shook my head a NO at him and then beamed at him.
“No, I love it. Let's go.”
And just like that, our date commenced.
