Hade's POV
"Hade!"
That voice... I freeze on my spot, it seems very familiar and my mind does not forget. For fuck sake, I have hyperthymisia that is why I could never forget anything. Maybe I was hallucinating her voice again.
Hearing my name like that, I should be furious but I don't know why I felt otherwise. It goes smoothly through my ears. I looked on the side and was surprised to see the woman who keeps on invading my mind, ever since the last time I saw her, I can't help but crave to taste her, I could not deny the beauty that she possessed.
Fucking shit! My blood rose up when I saw my men trying to touch her not to get near me.
"Touch her and you're dead." I stated not recognizing that my voice was venomous.
They all stopped, frozen on their spot as the woman walked closer to me and from the look on her face, I knew... she already made up her mind. I smirked.
Vern's POV
A deadly smirk curved on his lips which sent chills on my body. Fear covered my system. If I am not desperate for money, I would have already run away but I can't, I need money to save my father.
I stood straight fighting his intense stare and the battle inside my chest, "I... I- can I talk to you?" I asked, lost in my words, mesmerized on his dark eyes.
His eyes held amusement and I could not understand the beating of my heart. It was so loud that I was afraid he could hear it. My body was reacting crazily inside.
But then, his face suddenly turned serious and I was surprised at what he did as he leaned down to level my height, "Come to my house, tonight." He whispered in my ear and I was stunned when I felt his lips lightly touching my neck, giving a peck kiss before he faced me.
He smirked once again and started walking towards the door with his men following him but I was left stunned. I still could feel his lips on my neck, it left tingles around my system.
What the heck happened!? Why do I keep losing myself when it comes to him? I held my heart when I felt like it was about to come out of my chest.
"Vern!" I suddenly looked at my side to see the worried look of Sheina.
"What's wrong?" I immediately asked in concern, did something bad happen to dad again?
"I kept calling you but you were dozing off. What happened?" She asked but suddenly turned confused, "By the way, how did you know Sir Hade?"
"Do you know him?" I asked back.
I am truly confused why Hade was here and now curious as to why people in this hospital seem to know him when in fact he was so private as far as I know.
"Of course, Sir Hade is the co-owner of this hospital. Now answer me, how did you know him?" Sheina's forehead creased in desperate answer but I was shocked from her words.
"Co-owner!?" I exclaimed in surprise.
Sheina immediately looked side by side frantically and faced me, "Shh. Will you lower your mouth, Vern. He doesn't want us talking about him so be careful. He is a dangerous man." She said.
I nodded in understanding, I know that Hade is dangerous, his intimidating appearance and the way he walks shouts danger. However, I have no other choice but to walk into the fire of danger just to save my father.
"You haven't answered me, how did you know him?" Sheina asked once again, this time her voice held seriousness.
I shook my head, "We just bumped on each other." I said and started walking back to my father's room.
I sensed Sheina followed me, "I am telling you, Vern. Don't get near that man." She said and I remained silent.
I really don't think that I could not get near that man again because he is my only choice, especially now that I know he is the co-owner of this hospital. I sighed.
I got inside my father's room while Sheina went to her duty to monitor her other patients. Looking at daddy, my heart squeezes in pain. It is really difficult when you see your loved ones lying down in a hospital bed looking so weak. Again, a tear fell out of my eyes, I sat down on the side of his bed.
"I will give you a better treatment, dad. So, just hang on okay? Don't die." I said in a barely whisper.
Tonight... in his house. Wait, where is his house? Oh shit, I didn't know where he live and fucking shit, I have a job tonight!
Why didn't I realize it much earlier!? What will I do now? Why of all time, it has to be night?
I sighed as I held my father's hand, "Dad, I hope... you will forgive for the choice I made." I said and stood up.
I have no place to go and for now, the hospital is the safest. If the landlady sees me at the apartment, I'm sure she will throw me out of my apartment if I give nothing to her. It is better not to see her until I settle everything.
I sighed as I looked through the window and saw the beautiful baby blue sky, I suddenly remembered his... dark ash eyes, they were so cold but deeper inside those eyes is something I could not decipher, they were attracting me... pulling me to him. I shook my head. Every time I look deep into those eyes, I feel so lost that I do not recognize myself, something inside me is... changing. I took a deep breath calming my mind because there goes my heart again, beating crazily as I think of Hade.
My hand raised on its own as I touched my neck to the place where Hade's lips had landed. I still could feel the tingles that it brought, how could he affect me this much? How could my body react this way towards him?
Why does it seem like... my body is craving for him?
Tonight... I will get the answers to my questions.
