Everyone cheered which made my lips twitch up into a smile. As they quieted down, Alpha Mason glanced at Alpha Clause with a proud smile as he said, "You deserve to be the leader of the Five, Clause. You were supposed to be the leader anyway since you're the only one with a pure and true Lycan bloodline. And now that you've defeated our enemy and oppressor along with your mate, you have to accept this unlike when you refused at that time."
He nodded his head, "Thanks, Mason. But I don't really want to be the leader at the moment. I want to spend more time with my mate and build our family."
Mason chuckled, "That's understandable, Clause, but becoming the leader wouldn't require you to do otherwise. Besides, you don't have to leave High Valley since you enjoy being the pack leader here. You would just have to take care of every pack along with the East pack and I will help out as much as I can."
Alpha Clause glanced over at me as he seemed to be considering the position and I gave him a large smile as I gave his hand that was holding mine a soft squeeze. His lips tugged up into a small smile, seeming satisfied with my support and turned back to Alpha Mason, "If I become the leader of the Five, I will start helping out with the packs from East, West, South, North and Center."
Alpha Mason grinned widely at him, "Thank God, I thought that you were going to reject the offer again!"
Alpha Clause laughed, "No, I didn't. I just want to do things my own way and spend time with my mate. Besides, I can't keep saying no to you, Mason. You will eventually put me in a corner where I'll have to say yes."
"You're right, Clause, and I'm glad that I got my way with you." He replied to him then picked up his wine glass as he looked around the table and toasted, "To Alpha Clause!"
Everyone cheered as some chorused along with me, the Five and their mates, "To Alpha Clause!"
"Now that that's settled, let's eat!" Alpha Nathan said as he clapped his hands together, a grin on his lips, "Let's eat and celebrate!"
We all stood up and headed towards the food table and started to fill our plates with the delicious dishes. I couldn't believe that we were finally free of Alpha Ross after everything. It almost felt like his dead corpse would rise from the ground that we buried him in near the pack house and try to attack us again like he always did.
It felt so surreal to be truly safe and protected, but I wasn't complaining. I was just grateful to be alive and enjoying good food with my mate, my pack and our friends. I was also grateful to have no more attacks from Alpha Ross or his rogues, to finally have peace.
As we ate, I couldn't help, but glance at Alpha Clause from time to time as he kept laughing at something that Alpha Mason had said. He was so handsome and charming, but I was happy that he was mine and I was his.
After dinner, everyone decided to go their separate ways home. Some of the Packs would stay at the pack house to have fun while others would go back to their packs. As I walked out into the house to head back to my room, Alpha Clause walked beside me.
I felt his arm wrap around my waist as he pulled me closer to him, making my heart race as the front of my body pressed against his and his alluring amber eyes captured my brown ones. His lips tugged up into a smile as his hand lifted up to my hair and he ran his hand through the dark silky locks.
"We're finally free from Ross's attacks and any rogue attacks. Do you know what that means, Fay?" He murmured as he moved his face closer to mine.
My lips stretched into a large smile as I modded my head, moving my face closer to his too. I answered him in a low, sultry voice, "Yeah, I know, honey. It means that you and I finally get to spend more time together."
His smile widened into a large grin as he nodded, "Exactly, my one. We can finally concentrate on building our family and making pups."
Before I could reply, he crashed his lips against mine, taking my breath away as he kissed me passionately. My whole body shivered and tingled as I wrapped my arms around his neck and moaned into his mouth as I parted my lips slightly for him to slip his tongue inside my mouth.
The kiss deepened as we both moved our hands up and down each other's bodies, gripping onto each other tightly. I slid my fingers into his hair as he cupped my hips and squeezed it hard before pushing me against the wall.
A low growl vibrated from his throat as his lips trailed down my neck and jawline. His teeth grazed the side of my neck as he breathed my scent in deeply, making me shudder. His warm tongue darted out to lick my neck, making me moan softly in response. He then sucked on my neck making me groan loudly as I gripped onto his shoulders, feeling his muscles under my hands.
As his fangs pricked on his mark on my skin, I felt pleasure flood my body, but at the same time, I felt my body go limp as everything went dark.
When I came to, I saw Clause holding a baby inside a blue blanket as he sat down beside me on our bed. I tried sitting up, but felt pain in my lower part which had me groan in pain. Alpha Clause pushed my shoulder back gently as a concerned look showed on his face.
"Be careful, baby." He murmured as his hand brushed against my face.
"Whose baby is that, Clause? And what happened? One minute, we were making out and the next, I was unconscious." I asked him, feeling confused as I raised one hand to my forehead just as I noticed that my lower half was bare under a white blanket.
