"Goodnight, Clause, honey." I whispered as I walked into the room, closing and locking the door behind me.
"Sweet dreams, Luna." He responded as he removed his pants and shirts, leaving his boxers and muscular torso in display before laying down on the bed, snuggling between the sheets.
I lay down on his chest and curled my body around his.
The next day, I woke up to my phone ringing. I fluttered my eyes open and looked around to see that Alpha Clause was not in bed which meant that he was in the bathroom. The phone started ringing again and my head snapped to the bedside table where my phone was lying.
I grabbed it and glanced at the screen to see that it was Luna Kasey calling me. I picked up and placed it against my ear as I said, "Hey, Luna Kasey."
"Hi, Luna Fay. How are you today?"
"I'm great and you? Is everything alright?" I asked her, feeling concerned since it was 6:00AM .
She sighed, "Yeah, I just wanted to ask if you would come over later today because I don't think that only I can handle Luna Ashley."
"What happened? What did she do?"
"Nothing really. She just called me a bitch and told me to f**k off when we were trying to have breakfast together. Then she refused to talk to me and went back to her room. I tried talking to her, but she refuses to listen. She's a real drama Queen, and I can see why she doesn't get along with Luna Kat, and now you."
I frowned, "Luna Ashley is a bit of a brat, but I haven't seen anything that I can say justifies her treating you like this. Maybe I should go and talk to her, but then she doesn't listen to me either."
"No, that won't work, that's what she wants. If you confront her, she'll know exactly how to manipulate you and make you look bad too. You're better off without her." Luna Kasey explained through the phone with a sigh.
"Then what do you want me to do once I come over? Why not let me handle it?" I suggested.
"I don't think that would be wise."
"Why not?" I asked her, feeling confused.
"Because I'm sure that she will try something to make you pay for standing up to her." She said and it sounded like she was frowning.
"So should I come just to comfort you?" I asked her, looking towards the door where I heard the shower being turned off.
"Yes, please. But don't tell her that I asked you to come over."
"Okay, I won't. I will be there at 8 o'clock, and we'll figure out how to deal with her together." I told her before hanging up.
Alpha Clause came out of the bathroom wearing a pair of black jeans with a plain white t-shirt that hugged his muscular body. My heart raced at the sight as a small blush rose to my cheeks.
He walked over to me and kissed my forehead, "Morning, sleepyhead."
"Morning, honey." I smiled at him.
"Did you sleep well with my shirt on?" He smirked.
"It wasn't that bad." I teased as I rolled my eyes.
"You sure it wasn't?" He chuckled in his husky, yet velvety deep voice, sending delightful shivers through my body as my blush deepened.
"Fine, maybe it was a little bit." I giggled nervously.
"Just a little?" He teased, his hand caressing my cheek softly.
My breath caught in my throat and I found myself leaning forward to kiss him, but he stopped me by placing his finger over my lips.
He pecked me on the lips lightly before moving back and capturing my gaze as he asked, "I heard you on the phone while I was in the shower, but because of the running water, I couldn't tell who was on the other side even with my werewolf hearing. So who were talking to? I hope it's not one of your old male friends."
"Oh, it's actually Luna Kasey." I told him, feeling relieved that he didn't seem to mind.
A surprised frown fell on his brows, "Really?"
"Yes, she wanted to have me go over there to help her deal with Luna Ashley who is treating her even more badly than she did to us." I explained, "And yes, she's coming here to pick me up in about an hour."
His smile returned and he nodded, "Alright then. I'll be coming to pick you up, and I'll make sure to catch Alpha Ross again before you return."
"Thanks, Clause." I smiled at him as he kissed me on the lips.
I pulled back as I murmured to him, "I'll shower and get ready before she comes to pick me up."
"Okay, baby, I'll be in my study before then. Let me know when you're going or just text me if you're in a hurry to leave." He murmured back as he leaned down to crash his lips against mine again.
I moaned into the kiss as his tongue slipped into my mouth. The kiss was too short for my liking, and as he pulled back, I nodded in response, feeling too aroused to reply. He looked amused at my reaction as his lips tugged up into a smile, his alluring dark eyes watching my every move with want evident in his gaze.I stood up from the bed and made my way to the bathroom to take a shower.
Thirty minutes later, I was dressed in a dark green dress with light blue heels and headed downstairs to meet Luna Kasey in the parking lot so she could come and pick me up. She already texted me that she was here. Meeting her reminded me of my best friend, Amy.
We basically lost touch since I came to the pack house and she went who knows where with her mate. We talk here and there sometimes, but it just wasn't the same. Maybe I should invite her to the pack house? No, not now. Not when we were dealing with Alpha Ross.
