’You will thank me later! You will thank me later!’ The words kept echoing in Rocky’s head as the phone dropped onto the floor with a harsh ’thud’. Rocky understood Nicholas’s challenges and what he had chosen to do to help himself but Nicolas seeing his mother that way was just too much for Rocky to handle.
However, the video was still playing, so the ’Ahhhh! Oh my! Ngggg!!!!’ and other sounds resonated around the room and pointed Rocky to the harsh reality of his mother’s canal pleasures.
’Dad is not in my good books now, but really mum? You could not even wait? How could mum have changed so much in so little time?’
The disappointment he had in his mother shot up sky-high.
"Should I call sissy about this?" He shot that idea down as quickly as it had surfaced.
"Why would I call her about something as embarrassing as this? It’s better if she does not know of this."
For Rocky, the embarrassment and disappointment were too much for him to bear especially when his friend was the one who had brought the video to his attention. The fact that outsiders could see his mother’s naked self and the fact that she looked as if she was acting in a porn video was too much for him to bear.
However, there was one person whom he knew he could talk to, and, without hesitation, he dialled her number. ’She’s going to be my wife and couples share everything. It should be okay. Besides, my ’honey needs to know what she is getting into before.’
This time, he was met with the busy tone, telling him that she was on a call with someone.
"Who could she be taking to at this time?"
"...Let me go get some relief with Swya but I need to finish with her by next week and then move on to that new chick in town...."
The last part of Josh’s voice note also played over and over in Ava’s head that same night. She was bubbling with so much anger that if Josh knew about it, he would have turned the world over to ask for her forgiveness, because an angry Ava was usually an impossible one to deal with.
She stared at her phone, her eyes growing colder by the second, just then, her phone rang.
Ava could not recognize the number, and she was in no mood to tolerate it. However, the person was very persistent. After the third consecutive call, she picked up.
"Hello Miss, please do not be angry that I called several times...."
Ava frowned and re-checked the number.
"Do I know you?" She asked. Her tone came off as snappish instead.
"I’m so sorry, Miss!"
Ava was in no mood to be talking around in circles, so she took off the phone from her ear and tried to end the call, but a desperate voice sounded yet again. This was different from the first.
"This is bull-head and level-head."
"Huh?" Ava was perplexed.
"What is this? Some kind of a joke?"
"No, Miss... it’s not like that. Those are really our names. Ehm, we were the ones who came to your apartment last time..."
His voice reduced to almost a squeak, demonstrating his state of mind about the topic.
Ava said. However, her heart flipped on her.
’They got my number now as well. What do they want? Do they want to threaten me now....?’
Ava thought of many things and her fear, apprehension and helplessness from that time came rushing back. In fact, she had not recognized the voice because of Bull-head’s injury.
"Miss, please we mean no harm..." Level-head added quickly.
"We just want you to be extra careful. We got a job to ’take care’ of you. We will make sure that our brothers do not execute it but try to lay low for some time and we will handle the rest."
"Huh?" It took Ava a while to process all the information. Nonetheless, no matter how she looked at it, she could not understand what that meant.
"Who gave the order?"
There was a brief moment of silence and then, "I’m sorry Miss, we can’t give out that info. We have our own difficulties.... But please tell the young master Boss, that we did not harm you and even tried to protect you, okay? Tell him that we have done what he said-"
"What do you mean by that?"
Ava was met with dead silence. They had hung up!
She frowned. ’What does this all mean? Do they mean Rocky? Was Rocky scary enough to force them to do this?’
Throwing her mind back to when Rocky had barged in, she felt herself get a warm feeling. She had been out of sorts that day and did not even want to think of what had happened and what could have happened. However, to have one man storm in twice, both in the nick of time to save her, was bound to have a strong effect on Ava, whether she allowed herself to think so or not.
Her phone buzzed with another call, and she remembered that she had indeed had a call waiting earlier.
Lo and behold, that was the man in question, Rocky.
Ava did not have the heart to ignore the call. Rocky had done so much for her in the past weeks that she felt he deserved her time. This did not mean that she would let him know this fact though.
Rocky ignored her mood and then asked, "Are you okay? I have been trying to get to you for some time now."
"It’s nothing. How are your studies?"
"It’s okay... I guess. How much can I study anyway, with all of these going on?"
Ava sighed, even though she was concerned, she did not show it. She did feel like he deserved to know about the thug’s info, though, so she told him.
"I was on a call with ...."
Ava did not realize that she had let her mouth loose around Rocky, indicating that she was then comfortable around him. Against her better judgement, she even talked about Josh and his issues.
Rocky listened to her rant and talk off all the frustration off her chest.
"Are you okay?" he asked quietly when she finished. He had called her, but he was in no hurry to bring out his issue. Rocky loved listening to Ava and he had noticed her slight shift and relaxation around him.
Rocky did not want her to close up yet again, so he just listened to her, inputting small comments here and there. In Josh’s case, Rocky just gave her a listening ear and nothing else. He was content that way, and he understood the hurt she felt. Rocky needed Ava to make that decision without his influence. It was the last part that got him to upset.
"Did they tell you who ordered the hit on you?"
"No, they didn’t, but they didn’t have to. I know of only one person I have ’wronged’ who has the ability to amass such an attack. I just never thought that she would ever venture into such a space!"
"Sister Brianna? Why would she do that? Isn’t she your best friend?"
"Hehe Hehe, that is what I thought. She had her sights set of Ian and-"
"Don’t worry, she dares not, not with me here!"
"Will you be okay, Ava?"
"Sure, why wouldn’t I? It looked like you roughed up the thugs so well that they have turned sides! Thanks, Rocky!"
"Anyway, I needed your thoughts on something...." Rocky quickly changed the subject but his ears had turned bright red just from that one comment.
Ava listened to him with rapt attention. Even she was shocked beyond words at the info of Clara’s actions, she was not overly surprised. She smirked.
’Now, her true colours come out?’
She tried to make Rocky understand that his mother’s actions had nothing to do with him nor Shelby. The two talked deep into the night about every and any topic, not realizing that time was far spent.
Rocky was still on the call when he heard his mother come in, but he paid her no heed, even when she called out to him.
Clara stood patiently outside Rocky’s room. She could hear him on the phone but not his exact words. She called several times, but he did not give her the time of day.
"What has become of my children?"
She turned to her maid, Angela.
"Draw a warm bath for me..."
A few minutes later, Clara examined her still reddened body in her mirror. To say Presque had had his way with her was an understatement. He had fucked her so hard that Clara knew she had fully paid for her ask and even more, if possible. She loved sex and she had truly enjoyed it herself, but she never knew that that man who looked so out of shape could ’perform so well.’
"Don’t blame me for this James, I did all of this for you. It’s all for your sake!"
She smiled as Presque’s last words played back to her,
"Don’t worry about it. Tomorrow morning, I’ll see what I can do for your husband."
